Awh, would you look at that. Isabela pulled a Bharv for Arishok and he forgave her post mortum, so now she doesn't fidget around a qunari like a fox caught in a chicken coop. How nice that everyone can get along after all
Haha bharv for Arishok that cracked me up :D That face would have been priceless. haha This whole scene would not be possible, if I could bring my save where I let the Arishok take her.
Isabela has literally never been feminine. She has always had a very stereotypically masculine energy to her because she had to. She had to get stupid men to take her seriously.
Most people just use "femininity" to mean "Female attributes I like" and the same for "Masculine" with men. There is no expectation for a pirate to "Provide and Protect" for example - Which is a core function and value of traditional masculinity. It is also not an all-encompassing binary. Antisocial behavior is not gendered for example. This includes antisocial behavior that specific sexes have a tendency for like "nagging." Nagging is female associated behavior but not "feminine" behavior. Calling "female behavior I dislike" -> "Masculine" and vice versa is also really stupid. Particularly since it could very easily lead to boys and men adopting antisocial female behavior as "masculine." Old school Isabella was "badass" but limiting her to "feminine" vs "masculine" is silly. Particularly since its applying social expectations on an outlaw to society.
You know the team is fucked when they *try* to sexualize a conventionally attractive character and fail so hard, that work from nearly two decades ago is still seen as better.
wait.... THATS ISABELA!?!?!?!? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!? I had NO idea they brought her back and THIS is what they did? do I want to see what they did to the others....?
Pulling s Bharv sounds like something a Discord Moderator would make someone who broke the rules do to not be kicked out of the server. This would never go down in a medieval setting
As other have mentioned already, they somehow made Isabela more scantily clad in Veilguard and less sexy at the same time. It's like she just came back from New Orleans but forgot to dress down from attending Mardi Gras.
Isabella in dragon age 2 was so beautiful, in fact there are people say that she is the most beautiful one in the dragon age franchise, Even her look in the dragon age origins was cute but they made her beautiful and dragon age 2 and for some strange reason she doesn't look as good as she did before and she is even showing more skin, her outfit in dragon age 2 I thought it was awesome cuz she look like a real pirate... But I think the reason why she's not as attractive and people say shame interesting as she was before has nothing to do wish you looks.. I think it's her role of identity politics,... I will never ever understand how Bioware allowed identity politics into the video games, we deal with politics every single day we have to hear about it almost every single day, we play video games to give us a break from reality, and we enter like a fantasy world, most gamers don't want to do without identity politics, I think that's one of the main reasons why this game flopped... I have a top five favorite games of all time two of them is dragon age franchise and the Mass effect franchise it was games that I was counted today to play them but I always wait to for the reviews and once I heard about the maiden non-binary character I have no urge to play it anymore because I'm afraid that I'm not going to like the game, I'm not saying we should never put identity politics into games but if by were wants to do that why not make a game or a franchise that's based off of that I will have absolutely no problem and maybe even support it if they want to make a game on the side, so if there's people out there that are gamers and want to deal with that in a way then they have the option of playing those games instead of fixing something that's not even broken... I apologize for this comment I know we went to a different direction and I'm sorry it's just never been disappointed in a video game now the silver lining to dragon age vanguard as a failure The company of BioWare decided and not going to do any DLCs on it and inside they're going to now completely focus on the next Mass effect game, that she's a favorite franchise it would be Mass effect particularly Mass effect 2 while the closed distance with Mass effect 3 and Mass effect, and Mass effect A wasn't a bad game, it was going against Rex expectations were so high that if you didn't have the original cast chances are it wasn't going to be as good and I do like the game
Wait you have to pull a Bharv even if you eat the last biscuit on a plate? Got to leave it for the special character even though they didn't call dibs.
Never played either of these games but it's obvious to me the original two games were written by talented people. Men most likely, with a sense for sharp wit and actual charm. While veilguard was obviously a far more, let's say, colorful writing staff at best. The marvelization of the dialog is insufferably on full display.
Bellara: What if they mean it when they say they're sorry, though? Isabela: Some people mess up and *get all dramatic*. They make it about them. Literally Isabela seconds ago: Pulling a Bharv Bharv - ...you sweat a little. Makes you think a little more. Shows the other person you mean it. Me: its [Bharv] called being dramatic X.x The irony escapes the DEI writer :/ I can agree with the part that some times people just want to apologize haphazardly just to move on from the ordeal but there are also other times where the apology is sincere and you can feel it and not for nothing Isabela's apology doesn't feel sincerely at all, if anything it felt that she just want to get the whole ordeal over with and think it makes things square when she just do some pushups and sweat a little.
You can tell half of these comments haven't played Inquisition where Hawke is in it and is able to die in the fade if the player chooses too. so no wonder they chose for Isabela not to mention them in Veilguard.
unrelated but "Can't anyone fix their lives around here" was just so dry but also funny out of nowhere 😭 There's a lot of opportunity where Veilguard dialogues could be naturally hilarious but they all missed it. idek why. it's like the writers are gonna throw a joke out there and immediately go "wait dial it down for the kids" and you get a half-assed delivery instead which makes you think "is that supposed to be funny?"💀
If the Warden is female and in relationship with Liliana, and accepts Isabella’s offer with Ohgren in the party, his eyes roll back and he passes out right in the bar. Great scene.
I only have 2 wishes 1- close Bioware so we never see shit like this again 2- remake for the first dragon age but we don’t want the current Bioware to touch it
Is it just me or is that "apology" insulting? I get the point of meaning that you are sorry for an accident, but that looked like she did push-ups (in a rather poor form) and that was it. No explanation until pressed and she was the only one to know what it meant. I also think she dodged the what if the person meant the apology by saying that it felt grandiose and about the offender and not the victim despite the scene later showing a sincere apology that wasn't about the offender. This felt fake and like writers don't have life experience. Sad to see
Ok. WOW. I remember the quest with Dragon Age Origins Isabela and I have a complete disconnect with the Origins and Dragon Age 2 version hahahahaahahahah. 2/Inquisition Isabela are the only ones that matter IMO. I've watched quite a few Veilguard videos and did not realize that was Isabela. At all. Why is she dressed like a tart from the summer isles?
'they' doesn't even make sense in that sentence. Maybe if SHE wasn't right next to Isabela while she's telling Taash's story it would be acceptable. note to DA writers: They means group of something or past tense of someone. As Taash looks like a 'mighty' warrior, i'd assume she can stand up for herself. This just makes her character weak.
DA2 for the win... also am i the only one who finds her armor in DAVS more similar to a shitty Brazilian samba costume than a pirate outfit or something
Why do I get the sense that DA2 to Veilguard are just railroaded games? I loved Origins and the DLC. For some reason DA2 didn’t attract me enough to play it. And neither have the others.
BioWare, i remember so well the days i created my own levels with Neverwinter NIghts, putting armor and weapons in places that made it so i could cheese the game. The game was just about single player fun. Then i bought Dragon Age for the PS3 with some good story's and adventures and i didnt feel the need to cheese any of it (nor could i on the PS3 but nevermind that). I felt like i wanted to take on that challange and the game rewarded me with companions and story's and skills. I never finished Dragon Ago 2, it just wasnt on par but still a good game. Now there is this dumpster fire, like.. where is the fun? where is game? This just mentally hurts.. parents should educate their children, games should not invade that space. Let games be games for fun. If BioWare was my company i would of been proud 15 years ago. This however isnt something thats made for gamers. Character interactions in Veilguard in the last scene give a strong vibe of some woke teenagers' overnight jabber, not an RPG fantasy game storytelling.
Dragon Age: The Agendaguard
Awh, would you look at that. Isabela pulled a Bharv for Arishok and he forgave her post mortum, so now she doesn't fidget around a qunari like a fox caught in a chicken coop. How nice that everyone can get along after all
Haha bharv for Arishok that cracked me up :D That face would have been priceless. haha
This whole scene would not be possible, if I could bring my save where I let the Arishok take her.
@@kukurydza007 of course they didn’t read the scripts.
@@craiglee3048 right. they only saw the ending from inquisition.
Sad to see Bioware turning into this...
They took her femininity away in Veilguard
Isabela has literally never been feminine. She has always had a very stereotypically masculine energy to her because she had to. She had to get stupid men to take her seriously.
@@professorwright1428 baby, she was feminine. Hope this helps.
@@professorwright1428 You obviously have no clue what feminine means.
@@EllanaWolfI think you don’t.
Particularly since it could very easily lead to boys and men adopting antisocial female behavior as "masculine."
Old school Isabella was "badass" but limiting her to "feminine" vs "masculine" is silly. Particularly since its applying social expectations on an outlaw to society.
*"Devolution"*
Why did they remove her curves?????
Isabella in DA:O and Da:2 : a sexy, strong, and badass swashbuckling-pirate.
Isabella in "the failguard: "I'm bharving, alright.'
You know the team is fucked when they *try* to sexualize a conventionally attractive character and fail so hard, that work from nearly two decades ago is still seen as better.
What they had done to Morrigan wasn't any better either, my no.2 girl in Origins, Leliana still takes no.1 for me.
wait.... THATS ISABELA!?!?!?!?
WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!?
I had NO idea they brought her back and THIS is what they did? do I want to see what they did to the others....?
No, you really don't.
I'm with you on that one, but don't investigate any further or you'll be even more disappointed.
She "woke" up after ten years of sleep.
... Time to see myself out.
Everytime I see her DATV outfit, it reminds me of the Blue Bird Parade outfit that Linda wore in Rio...
IF you are real man of culture, you must burn DVD with "Dragon Age: The Veilguard" in holly fire, do not fear of the devil, devil approved
theres women too you know
Can't even sell it for a decent price. No seriously, people tried.
@@vladbush1464They were smart enough not to buy this game.
That last bit got a few points for consideration and doesn't exactly make me want to Bharv, but Maker's breath does it feel forced.
Pulling s Bharv sounds like something a Discord Moderator would make someone who broke the rules do to not be kicked out of the server. This would never go down in a medieval setting
I wanna see Taash try and fit into Isabela's Veilguard outfit.
Nobody needs to see that.
As other have mentioned already, they somehow made Isabela more scantily clad in Veilguard and less sexy at the same time. It's like she just came back from New Orleans but forgot to dress down from attending Mardi Gras.
the DA 2 is more likely close to Isabela
They've been reduced to almost nothing; no doubt Isabella has some top surgery scars.
Disgraceful what they have done.
Изабелла любит привлекать к себе внимание, но купальник и павлиньи перья на заднице это перебор. Даже по ее меркам.
A cool character to a pawn of the alphabet mafia.
Theyre not even mafia.
Just ignorantly eel.
more like a cult
They somehow made her outfit more “problematic” in VG. How is that possible bruh she has a gold bikini now tf?
6:32 cracked me up 🤣
hey you like dragon age? well heres dragon age but with all the dragon age taken out of it and in its place we put just more dustborn dialogue
Bro when I 1st saw this scene weeks ago. I didn't realize this was supposed to be my girl Isabella. Which make this scene so much worse.
The hell?! That's the same Isabela in Origin?!
And Dragon Age 2.....Look how they massacred her.
No, this is Veilguard. This isn't Dragon Age.
It's like Veilguard had the same director of the Star Wars prequels, always sitting and talking. Sitting and talking.
Literally Isabela seconds ago: Pulling a Bharv
Bharv - ...you sweat a little.
In Veilguard, you can be anything except a beautiful woman
You can tell half of these comments haven't played Inquisition where Hawke is in it and is able to die in the fade if the player chooses too. so no wonder they chose for Isabela not to mention them in Veilguard.
The real problem is that none of the females have "chesticles/ breasts", and when they introduced those with them, they just got rid of them.
unrelated but "Can't anyone fix their lives around here" was just so dry but also funny out of nowhere 😭 There's a lot of opportunity where Veilguard dialogues could be naturally hilarious but they all missed it. idek why. it's like the writers are gonna throw a joke out there and immediately go "wait dial it down for the kids" and you get a half-assed delivery instead which makes you think "is that supposed to be funny?"💀
They really didn't care anymore did they? She said a Bharv was a "quick ten".... but she only did 5....
Poor Isabela, Veilguard is such a shit
Bioware is cooked lol, this is awful.
Origins: strong start. DA 2: expectations skyrocket. Veilguard: Crash and burn..... -.-
Da2 Isabela is the only Isabela I ever need.
And that my friends is how political bullshit ruins gaming.
Keep. It. Out. Of. Gaming.
Game went from foursomes to After School Special. What a ride! 😮💨
If the Warden is female and in relationship with Liliana, and accepts Isabella’s offer with Ohgren in the party, his eyes roll back and he passes out right in the bar. Great scene.
Veilguard armor design is ugly
Hell is seeing what you could have been and realizing you are not even their shadow.
I find it funny that there’s now only 1 Asian in existence within Dragon Age.
She used to have a personality as a normal person, now she's a cultural idol.
Character assassination has become more of a literal it seems.
Pulling a Bharv reminds me of incentive training in the military lol. Pain...retains! 😂
Push up is not a pulling exercise. It's a push exercise.
I only have 2 wishes
1- close Bioware so we never see shit like this again
2- remake for the first dragon age but we don’t want the current Bioware to touch it
I have played Veilguard and I didn't even realize this is that Isabela...
You can literally be anything but a woman in veilguard
*Devolution
the "WHERE ARE THEY?!" had me rolling
DA2 was the best she looked.
Sad to see
It's a humiliation ritual... like a cult.
Ok.
Bro I didnt notice it was Isbela! XDDDD I saw this like 5 times
pounding the one eyed snake in the nose... actual middle schoolers
Dragon Age The Veilguard just wtf
I only knew of her in DA2 and I'm still a little salty she left with the relic.
I am also non buyanary
How far does this nonsense have to go before people wake up?
Until every line is crossed.
Well, I mean this bs helped get Trump in office. So I guess the time is nigh.
@@Vespyr_Damn.
yeah they went and made her full middle eastern
They did the dragon armor some disrespect. It's a wonderful armor in this game (origins) and mass effect 2.
Dayum, I played Dragon Age Origins Ultimate numerous times, didn't strike me Isabella was there... 20 years of stupidity lol...
I don’t remember meetings her, but that was 15 years ago
Whats flatter Veilguards dialouge or Isabela's chesticles...the dialouge, by far.
I am a girl, but I also think: what a dumbster.
I REALLY don't understand why Isabela never used a proper clothes after D.A.O....
I remember male Hawk could go have sex with one of the male elf after a quest. That was so funny.
My brain wanted to die on itself watching this, what kind of game director okays this?!
I completely understandable if they go bankrupt.
More like Darwinism.
WHERE ARE THEY!! 😂 😂 😂
I hope everyone gets fired after this
Pulling a bharv? More like Throwing up Barf!
She now just looks like Junkerqueen skin from OW.
