    Not really, Most foreign students come to Australia for two reasons: to become a permanent resident (without marrying Australian) or work (legally or illegally). This is the reason why the Dept of foreign affairs introduce the strict requirement of GT (Genuine Student) in March 2024. They will evaluate your answer to the GT questions and check your supporting documents before they make a decision in issuing you a student visa!

    If you want to do university study in Australia, you are required to take English Proficiency Test. I did my IELTS Academic in Australia and for me, it was easy. No reviews done. I was eating a burrito an hour before my test started. I scored 6.5 overall; 8 for speaking; and 6 for listening, reading and writing. That was my first ever IELTS. So dont stress everyone, just relax and you can ACE this IELTS test. Btw, I'm from the Philippines originally.. now living in Melbourne. Almost all Australian universities require future students to take IELTS Academic which is harder than IELTS General. Your overall IELTS score should be NO lower than 6.5

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  Год назад +2

      My experience at Deakin was pretty good - very hands on, and practical - at least for Psychology! The best thing was the campus and its facilities (although it was a bit further from Melb cbd). I'll make a video within the upcoming months specifically about the experience of studying in Australia.

      @@livingsimplyaustralia Sounds great! Appreciate that. Atm, it's either UNSW or Deakin. I'm planning to take Master in Business Analytics as an international student. Is it easy to get public transportation from Deakin to Melb cbd just for the occasional short trips to look around? Maybe it's near to the train station etc? Thanks!

    • @livingsimplyaustralia
      @livingsimplyaustralia  Год назад

      @@Capristar it is! but it's a bit of a long trip (at least for me, that was one of the things I wasn't a big fan of - I was living in South Yarra and had to take two trams and a 40 min trip - if you live in the CBD then it might be only one tram). So if you choose to go to deakin, but decide to live in the cbd (and not near Burwood - suburb where Deakin is-), I highly recommend organising your timetable to have your classes on the same day (and spend the day there) - so you don't have to go every single day and do the whole trip (otherwise it can get pretty tiring). If not, you can definitely look for accommodation near Burwood (Camberwell, Hawthorn east, etc - but these are more suburbian areas with not a lot going on, still relatively close to the city).

      You would usually apply for a graduate visa and during that time try to get full time employment - from there, there're different visa pathways (sponsorship or PR based on points test system). For visa advice your best sources are a MARA registered migration agent or the Department of Home Affairs website.

      Hi, thanks for your question :) It all depends on your occupation and what employers in your industry are looking for. E.g. if you want to work as an architectural drafter, a diploma or advanced diploma in Building design is usually sufficient to get a job in the field. On the other hand, if you want to work as a Structural Engineer, it's highly likely that employers will be looking for candidates with a Bachelor degree - I have a video about an amazing tool to explore the Australian Labour Market and these kind of details - ruclips.net/video/AQPoA5Hmqdk/видео.html - Regarding your other question, absolutely! I also have a video on everything to know about studying in Australia and finding the right course, including the difference between TAFE & university qualifications etc --> ruclips.net/video/v1s4ab38PZI/видео.html Hope this helps :)

      In Australia, if your first language is not English, then you will be required to take an English proficiency test to enroll in universities and it doesn't matter if you're working as an English teacher in your home country, it doesn't matter if your course was delivered in English, you are still required by Australian universities to take IELTS. They will require to take IELTS Academic which is harder than IETLS General. For majority of Australian universities they require you to have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 AND nothing below 6 for every band. Nothing below 6.

    Do you suggest that I study English and work simultaneously, then try to get a VET course while I'm working, or should I aim to pursue a Master's degree right away? I just want to settle down there. I will complete my major in Finance by June, and I've been studying English for about two years. I would be immensely grateful if you could help clear up my doubts.

    • @Blairezz98
      @Blairezz98 Год назад

      As of June 2023, the demand for workers in early childhood education is high. Daycares are in desperate need of qualified workers so they don't really care whether you're from tafe or prestigious uni. In this industry, the work hours is long and stressful and they pay you cheap, the "middle man" aka childcare owners are the ones who are making money, not the workers. In spite, I salute people working in the childcare industry because it's a noble profession.

    There is no poor English speaking doctor in Australia. Communication is a life or death matter of a patient’s survival in ER.
