Some minor corrections... The Anti-Venom suit in the game was not designed as a countermeasure. No idea where that info came from... Mr. Negative created it by accident. Second, in the comics, the suit fell in love with Peter, not because he was stronger, but because the symbiote learned emotions from Peter. It acted like a scorned lover when he rejected it. It never even made him stronger like it is depicted in other media. It just passed on his spider strength to Brock because Peter almost bonded to it on a cellular level. Brock just happened to have more muscle added to that.
Not in the original comic. It just gave him unlimited webbing and could disguise itself as normal clothes. Insomniac's Venom is definitely a combination of 616 Venom and Ultimate Venom. Insomniac's Venom can sprout wings just like 616 Venom. I can imagine if Insomniac's Venom is stronger than both 616 Venom and Ultimate Venom.

Doesn't seem fair to only keep that Venom limited to the movies only
This Venom is definitely stronger than the movie version cause this one has more comic accuracy, is more brutal and has weapon morphing abilities from the comics I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a Venom spin off and end up seeing him with new powers
My guess this version of venom is more talented that the movies innarations, in the movies he can morph hes body into lashes or shields(only in the first movie) but it seems in insomniacs version has the same abilities but even better like he has more talent to use it or something.

You didnt mention that insomniacs venom doesnt seem to be invisible to spider sense from either spiderman. Your spider sense still goes off in the boss fight and in cutscenes it shows their spider sense going off when he attacks. That is actually a HUGE weakness for insomniac venom. The main reason Peter struggled with venom in comics was due to his spider sense not working on him
I want to note something else that I found amusing. Usually when the protagonist gains a new power or transformation, they’re shown to be pretty impressive against their opponent. This kind of stuff happens all the time in anime. Right after Peter gets the impressive Anti-Venom suit and chases Venom down into the sewer, Venom just bats him aside with a tendril. He was barely paying attention to Spidey and just wrecked him in one shot. lol
I am curious if the Meteorite was the catalyst for Venom's massive shift in replication. I don't think normal venom is capable of reproducing that quickly and it didn't seem he COULD in the game ( on a city wide scale at least) until he made contact with the fully formed Meteorite.
Don’t mean to pile on but what interesting about the symbiote is they constantly adapt and are always absorbing information And the reason I say constantly adapt is it been demonstrated in comic that some symbiotes can be weak to fire and sound but if exposed to it too many times it will eventually adapt to the point where that weakness won’t affect it later down the line Take carnage he was weak against fire and sound but after being exposed to it so many times the symbiotes eventually evolved to the point where sound or fire doesn’t bother it Ultimate venom had a life draining effect And regular venom could web swing but it suit biomass composed of webbing so it just swings with it tendrils or leaps around

It hasn't been confirmed, but I think what the meteorite does is amplify the symbiotes' powers and give them the ability to produce infinite symbiotic matter (basically, it turns the symbiotes into the ultimate weapons of conquest)

I’m not 100% sure on this but from what I gathered, the reason Peter didn’t give the Anti-Venom suit to Harry was because in this story the Anti-Venom that was created was created from trace amounts of the Venom symbiote still inside Peter from his bond with Venom. Rather than being a separate entity I took it as Anti-Venom being like an upgrade to Peter’s powers instead of something he can give freely.

I like how Tom Hardy Venom doesn't have a spider symbol on his chest because it never knew a Peter Parker. Think about it,only when the symbiote gets to know Peter then goes to someone else,it copies a similar logo.It's smart and it adapts.

They didn’t need/bring anti venom in the story so they had a way to beat venom, they did it so we could keep the venom attacks at the end of the game after losing the suit(venom).

I feel like Anti Venom suit could be way more effective against Venom if not fact that Peter didnt want to damage Harry at any point, he was STILL Holding back. He knew that giving his full strenght + Anti Venom abilities could kill/permanently damage Harry meanwhile. Peter had no clue how much strenght of his own he could pull out against Venom so he had to keep it minimum.
Pretty sure he wasn't holding back on strength cuz this argument is always pretty stupid when Spiderman clearly loses a fight fair and square instead of losing in a suprise hit or a very quick turn of events .
Even before the game came out, I knew that Insomniac's Venom was about to become the most OP version of Venom out of any Spider-Man media, because Symbiote Spider-Man was already OP to begin with, so when you take those abilities and apply it to Venom, he would solo every version of Venom from the multiverse.
Not gonna touch on the Null stuff? I don't read the comics so I don't know who Null is (The symbiote God?) but someone mentioned the meteorite Venom uses to supercharge his powers and take over the city is related. Is Venom using some of Null's powers in this game for his invasion?

He could corrupt a few blocks by himself, but once he gained the meteorite, he almost immediately covered all of NY. He did still make a few symbiote hideouts, and Scream, on his own tho
Venom always had camouflage abilities. he just uses them so rarely that most writers forgot about it. its also seen in the Spiderman PS 1 game. edit: i noticed that insomniacs Venom isnt "imune" to spider sense, wich is actually a huge weakness. he's super powerfull yea but predictable to Spiderman.
Insomniac's Venom is way stronger than Toxin, and in the gameplay, we see Venom just walking past through flames without any problem. So we confirmed that Insomniac's Venom is resistant to high intensity sounds and fire.
Web of shadows is also able to take over new york, but he absorbs electro, vulture, wolverine, and black cat to both empower them and to make brood wirh their abilities. After this he takes down the hellicarier and if his host hadnt betrayed him could of killed peter. Thankfully Pete took over the army instead
He is probably most powerful with the stone . But if we talk about just one on one fights then Tom Hardy Venom isn't too far from this one in physical stats , and despite impressions , Raimi Venom is overall stronger in the same regard because of being stated stronger than Raimi Spiderman while having his abilities . Tobey did not get an upper hand against him on his own , infact Venom dominated him pretty clearly in the 1 v 1 , Tobey got the upper land later with Harry's help , he landed one hit and never gave him a chance do anything quickly surrounded him with metal poles forming a field of sound and finished him with the pumpkin bomb while he wasn't bonded to his host . I also think you exaggerated a fair bit on Tobey being able to remove the symbiote with ease , that scene screams anything but easy even with the help of the bell . Removing Eddie from the symbiote while exploiting that field of sound wasn't easy either . Even though Raimi Venom was stated to have broken spiderman's rib in the novelization when he dropped on him from 20 stories above with a knee , he still couldn't do as much as he should've been able to against a spiderman from before. His AP and durability should scale to symbiote spiderman cuz it's the same symbiote , multi city block level cuz daily bugle newspapers stated " minor quakes felt throughout the subway system " after symbiote spiderman's fight with Sandman . But it wouldn't be enough to damage Raimi spiderman near the end of the movie heavily , since we see him withstanding even greater attacks from Giant Sandman that caused quakes strong enough to shake the whole vicinity with the skyscraper and break Venom's webs way above them . Raimi Venom wasn't weaker , spiderman just got more durable .
The 1 thing it cant do that ive seen at least one other version do is bypass peter's spider sense since it bonded with him before and i think also give its new hosts spider sense

Raimi Venom’s powerful, yes, but that’s like saying the Raimi-verse Venom and Spider-Man are strong enough to tank nukes, which isn’t true. Plus, if that were the case, Tobey should have solo’d the entire villain cast by himself in No Way Home, despite his age. Now Venom from the Raimi movies would be Tobey’s level, which would be around somewhat building level in terms of durable and strength, but just slightly amped higher, so like multi-block level, due to how symbiotes work. Insomniac Venom is more than 1 Raimi Venom stacked together to put it simply, considering the fact he can easily tank Miles’ bio-electricity which is strong enough to nearly rival nukes in power when used fully to the max.
I'm going to be honest Venom and Spider-Man 2 and Insomniac Venom is way more powerful and stronger I feel like Venom is more truly more badass and stronger because of that giant big buff tall massive form he has and he takes on dead giant massive buff form has more true power and strength than we are don't understand or haven't seen
Because there is no connection between Eddie & Peter in the games, Eddie is a photographer and according to Peter's going away card at the Bugle when he left & went to work for Otto, Eddie and Peter were on good terms and didn't have any competition with each other as far as we know, and Peter never went back to working for the Bugle he became a teacher, and Scientist at Harry's EMF. there was just no room or reason to put Eddie in the story when the Story is about Peter & Harry who is terminally ill and the Symbiote is there to make Harry better.
It wouldn't make sense for Eddie to be Venom, as he has no connection to this earth's Peter. He has a much stronger relationship with Harry that was built up over the course of this game and touched upon in the first. It reminds me a little of Spectacular and the Ultimate comics Venom. Though, ironically enough, those were both Eddie Brock.
It just didn't work in the context of the story. Harry as venom would make it more of a personal fight for peter since they're childhood friends. And I loved insomniac's take
Still not as powerful as Topher Grace Venom. The strongest feat he's shown is ripping apart a school as well as a football field(14 tons of TNT. Tobey with the black suit(weaker than Topher grace venom) was creating minor earthquakes in his fight with sand man(almost 500 tons of TNT).

That's just for gameplay purposes. There are quite a few moments in cutscenes where Venom completely blindsides Peter

I suspect that as well. Otherwise, why can't the other symbiotes pull the same level of powers off? Now that the meteorite is destroyed, I'm sure a Venom spin-off game will depower him a bit.
It hasn't been confirmed, but I think what the meteorite does is amplify the symbiotes' powers and give them the ability to produce infinite symbiotic matter (basically, it turns the symbiotes into the ultimate weapons of conquest)
Isn't this literally the reason that meteorite was important near the end of the story and being guarded by Venom's goons at all?
It was more so to increase Venoms range rather than anything else within the game.

Since Anti Venom could not cure Harry's disease, is it a way for Insomniac to tell us that AV can only "cure" symbiotes? Because the comics AV can cure any disease
I’m not 100% sure on this but from what I gathered, the reason Peter didn’t give the Anti-Venom suit to Harry was because in this story the Anti-Venom that was created was created from trace amounts of the Venom symbiote still inside Peter from his bond with Venom. Rather than being a separate entity I took it as Anti-Venom being like an upgrade to Peter’s powers instead of something he can give freely.
@@krunkler1185 Peter himself says that it's similar to the Symbiote suit but there are no voices. Definitely an upgrade. He should just give it to Harry since it has no free will of its own. It can save Harry, plus in this universe he is a genuine good guy. He can truly heal the world

It's like a mix between Web of Shadows Venom, Marvel's Spider-Man Venom and Mainstream Venom.
They didn’t need/bring anti venom in the story so they had a way to beat venom, they did it so we could keep the venom attacks at the end of the game after losing the suit(venom).
I hope this is the last time Harry Osborn is ever Venom in any media period.

I feel like Anti Venom suit could be way more effective against Venom if not fact that Peter didnt want to damage Harry at any point, he was STILL Holding back.
He knew that giving his full strenght + Anti Venom abilities could kill/permanently damage Harry meanwhile.
Peter had no clue how much strenght of his own he could pull out against Venom so he had to keep it minimum.
Funny thing is, 616 anti venom could also cure Harry’s disease, IF I remember correctly.

Even before the game came out, I knew that Insomniac's Venom was about to become the most OP version of Venom out of any Spider-Man media, because Symbiote Spider-Man was already OP to begin with, so when you take those abilities and apply it to Venom, he would solo every version of Venom from the multiverse.

I think that venom is buffed because of the meteorite that he was using. Maybe now aftet being destroyed he can’t reproduce like that or use wings and all that shit

He could corrupt a few blocks by himself, but once he gained the meteorite, he almost immediately covered all of NY. He did still make a few symbiote hideouts, and Scream, on his own tho

Venom always had camouflage abilities. he just uses them so rarely that most writers forgot about it. its also seen in the Spiderman PS 1 game. edit: i noticed that insomniacs Venom isnt "imune" to spider sense, wich is actually a huge weakness. he's super powerfull yea but predictable to Spiderman.

I still don’t know how Miles was 1v1ing Venom like lore wise he wouldn’t last 20 seconds. Insomniac was lowkey glazing Miles in this game.

Insomniac's Venom is way stronger than Toxin, and in the gameplay, we see Venom just walking past through flames without any problem. So we confirmed that Insomniac's Venom is resistant to high intensity sounds and fire.
Web of shadows is also able to take over new york, but he absorbs electro, vulture, wolverine, and black cat to both empower them and to make brood wirh their abilities. After this he takes down the hellicarier and if his host hadnt betrayed him could of killed peter. Thankfully Pete took over the army instead

But if we talk about just one on one fights then Tom Hardy Venom isn't too far from this one in physical stats , and despite impressions , Raimi Venom is overall stronger in the same regard because of being stated stronger than Raimi Spiderman while having his abilities . Tobey did not get an upper hand against him on his own , infact Venom dominated him pretty clearly in the 1 v 1 , Tobey got the upper land later with Harry's help , he landed one hit and never gave him a chance do anything quickly surrounded him with metal poles forming a field of sound and finished him with the pumpkin bomb while he wasn't bonded to his host . I also think you exaggerated a fair bit on Tobey being able to remove the symbiote with ease , that scene screams anything but easy even with the help of the bell . Removing Eddie from the symbiote while exploiting that field of sound wasn't easy either .
Even though Raimi Venom was stated to have broken spiderman's rib in the novelization when he dropped on him from 20 stories above with a knee , he still couldn't do as much as he should've been able to against a spiderman from before. His AP and durability should scale to symbiote spiderman cuz it's the same symbiote , multi city block level cuz daily bugle newspapers stated " minor quakes felt throughout the subway system " after symbiote spiderman's fight with Sandman . But it wouldn't be enough to damage Raimi spiderman near the end of the movie heavily , since we see him withstanding even greater attacks from Giant Sandman that caused quakes strong enough to shake the whole vicinity with the skyscraper and break Venom's webs way above them . Raimi Venom wasn't weaker , spiderman just got more durable .

I never played the spiderman 2 game but i just intensely dislike how Venom's head looks like a helmet, sttaight up Darkseid's helmet or head shape. (Yes i know Darkseid is from DC and venom is from Marvel, but still.)

Even thou some were unavailable the game creators said they could have come in but felt as if the situation as already covered by the current heroes and villains
Plus it’s only isolated to New York and wasn’t world threatening because they completely isolated NYC
Which is why they didn’t rush in if they new about it as it was already being dealt with by other heroes
Venom in that game had to actually spend days to even make a symbote army
And in a week maybe had control over all NYC
And the only reason the other heroes shield and villains worked together is because it took a long ass time to even take over New York to catch their eye
Even then most symbotes in that game fodder as even normal thugs can fight back
Meaning they aren’t that dangerous to the point it requires all hands on deck
Where as insomniac venom actually took over all new york in just a few hours without the meteor
And his symbote army is so dangerous it’s said in game the hunters which are confirmed to be better then sable’s army from the first game
Would stand absolutely no chance as most wanted to die like kraven
And because him taking over New York was so quick by the time anyone noticed what happened again it was in a few hours to a day
And had it continued beyond that venom would have already won
As is implied if and when venom completely uses the meteor he would have been covering the whole world in perhaps the a day or so
And the only reason that didn’t catch anyone’s eye via the avengers dr stanege the X-men or fantastic 4 if they were around
Was because it was all happening so quickly and if they did find out it be to late if the Spider-Men failed as venom would have already covered the world by that point
And venom took all New York over without that meteor already making symbote nests and already had a big army that spanned even beyond the city
Again less then a few hours
It’s clear one venom is actually superior to the other

Insomniac Spider-Man destroyed an unbreakable cage and web of shadows can rip wolverine in half(thou he probably didn’t break the bone but wolverine ligaments)
Both can dodged lighting and both are skilled
Only insomniac seems smarter and better equipped even without the black suit via his iron spider armors and gadgets which scales to miles
And has a anti venom suit that is just as strong as his black suit but can weaken and destroy symbotes
Vs a web of shadows base peter where he can’t do much outstrip or using some webs and use only his strength
And his black suit with tendrils but has all the same weakeness as as venom
At that point it’s clear insomniac peter is better then web of shadows
And he can’t beat venom without help
And web of shadows peter with or without the black suit can beat his venom at base
When both venoms are at base insomaic is better then web of shadows venom
But even then if you want to use the giant venom again a base Spider-Man with some help can combat it

Raimi Venom’s powerful, yes, but that’s like saying the Raimi-verse Venom and Spider-Man are strong enough to tank nukes, which isn’t true. Plus, if that were the case, Tobey should have solo’d the entire villain cast by himself in No Way Home, despite his age. Now Venom from the Raimi movies would be Tobey’s level, which would be around somewhat building level in terms of durable and strength, but just slightly amped higher, so like multi-block level, due to how symbiotes work. Insomniac Venom is more than 1 Raimi Venom stacked together to put it simply, considering the fact he can easily tank Miles’ bio-electricity which is strong enough to nearly rival nukes in power when used fully to the max.

Because there is no connection between Eddie & Peter in the games, Eddie is a photographer and according to Peter's going away card at the Bugle when he left & went to work for Otto, Eddie and Peter were on good terms and didn't have any competition with each other as far as we know, and Peter never went back to working for the Bugle he became a teacher, and Scientist at Harry's EMF. there was just no room or reason to put Eddie in the story when the Story is about Peter & Harry who is terminally ill and the Symbiote is there to make Harry better.
It wouldn't make sense for Eddie to be Venom, as he has no connection to this earth's Peter. He has a much stronger relationship with Harry that was built up over the course of this game and touched upon in the first. It reminds me a little of Spectacular and the Ultimate comics Venom. Though, ironically enough, those were both Eddie Brock.
They could, in a spin off game where Venom is much weaker after the fight but still strong enough to be a lethal protector

Harry as venom would make it more of a personal fight for peter since they're childhood friends. And I loved insomniac's take
Still not as powerful as Topher Grace Venom. The strongest feat he's shown is ripping apart a school as well as a football field(14 tons of TNT.
Tobey with the black suit(weaker than Topher grace venom) was creating minor earthquakes in his fight with sand man(almost 500 tons of TNT).
