If you were searching for the one single reason the Cowboys haven't won since Jimmy and continue to flounder decades after, look no further than Jerry Jones in his interview with The Fan. He began with charm and humor. The questions were pointed but fair. He swatted a couple away with the usual Jerryisms but then something struck a nerve. This criticism was directed at his efforts. How dare you mere mortals ask me to explain myself to the likes of you! I could feel his contempt almost like it was pointed directly at me-The Fan. His sneer and snark were contemptible. The disdain was dripping from his tongue. He threatened them. Now I understand how Jerry does business. That kind of narcissism builds empires and destroys them with equal ease. Money doesn't buy you class or character. We saw behind the curtain. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But who am I? Just a mere mortal behind a keyboard...
Jerry Jones sounds very Trumpian.... loves the camera, and wants the media to talk about him. CANNOT handle fair not even tough questioning & certainly not criticism. And cannot manage a team. He is not a quality GM. He is an old owner who likes "play" football GM. Cowboys are poorly constructed team, with no O-line & an overpaid B at best quarterback & zero running game. And only 1 offensive highly paid WR. The cowboys will not win 10 games & playoffs are a dream. They are 3 years away from being competitive. Their window is not shut. It's been shattered
Without naming names this Authoritarian/Dictator speak sounds familiar. The Dallas Cowboys “brand” goes beyond Jerry Jones. It was one of the best in American sports before Jones bought the team. Jones has been successful as an honor but much of that success has been front loaded to the earlier days of his ownership even still the Cowboys have had by far the best record of any team that hasn’t reached a championship game or Super Bowl since 1996. The pressure is getting to Jerry as he obviously wants to win now. He’s obviously frustrated but threatening local radio show hosts with retribution if they don’t “fall in line” is a seriously bad look. For the Cowboy fans let’s hope Jerry isn’t too far gone to know he now has to fix his image as well as the team itself.
Thank you for showing why you guys paid dak.. you need a front man .. like a manger for a regular company to stand out front and take the blame on his shoulders. And that there is dak prescot & to deal with this he should be making 70 mil
Needs to step down. Jones model for NFL success was officially over when the 1990s gave way to the 2000s. The Dallas Cowboys haven't been a serious Super Bowl contender since 1996.

And I'm not excusing what he did, but most of us don't have the resources or platform to respond as 'loudly' or as vehemently as Jerry did. You no doubt, have read the poem- Ozymandias... if you haven't, do. If you have- go back and read it again. The story is told as revealing perspective on the egotism and arrogance of a king in antiquity. But the lesson is in exploring some timeless truths about any of us-- or 'the man who would be king'.
@@andrejackson8249- He said “many”, not “every”.
Nah, there’s prob some cool billionaires out there.
Plenty do rich people reach their status through immoral values or just flat out being handed the wealth. You see these type of people all over the news especially right now
I love Jeff Saturday! I’m here just because of him! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"If you think you're going to sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things I've done wrong and without going over the rights."
Peak narcissism. He's used to having people around him who constantly stroke his ego because he needs that. Even when they are calling him out, they still have to throw in praise and compliments. #NarcissistPersonalityDisorder101
Yep. And narcs HATE being called out, especially by people who they feel are beneath them. Which in Jerry's case is everyone. He's a pig.
Radio Host should have responded: "Please Jerry, PLEASE fire me".
And add that the reporter will sue Jerry for all that he has.
"do you think i'm an idiot?" yes
"i'll find someone else to ask these questions" cool fire me then ..... people just need to stop bending over for billionaires egos
They should quit working for Jerry Jones and start an independent radio show where they can say what they want to.
@@Stephen-dd9ofThe funny thing is that they DON'T work for him. They work for the radio station, which pays a hefty sum for programming rights to broadcast Cowboys games and have interviews like this. So they're actually paying him.
But he still probably thinks he owns everything he sees.
Hawk is a pretty good analyst. I enjoy listening to him.
Jerry the worst gm ever
They need a new owner. Look at the Commanders .
If Jones understood the concept of doing your job he wouldn’t still be the GM of the Cowboys.
no billionaire knows what a job is
As a former cowboys fan, I am loving that Jerry is breaking.
Dont bother with Jerry Jones and he will go away
He is a narcissist
He is the billionaire active owner of the Dallas Cowboys. He isn't going anywhere

@@victorsalgado-d7l ncaa didn't swap any teams. The schools and conferences changed on their own.
Very well said! Here's my less eloquent, blunt version:
He's a white trash multi billionaire.
Who would have thought the Cowboys and Eagles would be playing the way they are while the commanders are shining
Great segment. Even caught up the audio and the visual.
I hate to be that guy, but do you see a pattern then? Lol
@@rockstar696923 and you sound very Bidenian , you douche
The trick play commentary at the end was pure gold lol! I've been waiting for this discussion!
Man, the ego on this guy
It’s shocking that the Cowboys are 3-3. The organization is really bad. Teams that lose to them should be ashamed.
Those ashamed teams would be the Browns, Steelers, and Giants. LOL !!!
@@SeanJohnson-sj1su yup, Steeler fan here and yes I am ashamed.
No doubt. That 3-3 record is illusory. They could easily be 2-4 or 1-5.
As lifetime lions fans its so weird people to say lions are playing the game as should be played
He don't wanna win
Thank you for showing why you guys paid dak.. you need a front man .. like a manger for a regular company to stand out front and take the blame on his shoulders. And that there is dak prescot & to deal with this he should be making 70 mil
Needs to step down. Jones model for NFL success was officially over when the 1990s gave way to the 2000s. The Dallas Cowboys haven't been a serious Super Bowl contender since 1996.
lol Jerry had a nervous breakdown
"throw all the good out with the dishwater"? that's mental decline, isn't it?
its a rather low bar these days
He also invented a new term this off-season: "spunt". He said it twice in an interview talking about all the money he spunt on the team.
Jerry aint been this upset since the emancipation proclamation
Just want to give that interviewer a shout out for the way he handled being spoken to like that!
This is an 80 year old billionaire throwing a tantrum in public. Maybe he should run for president.
You see here lies the problem, it's him Jerry, he's the issue! He's built the sorry culture in Dallas! A very incompetent, stubborn owner who you can't tell anything, and he's wealthy! He's never knew about football, he think he knows, try to act like he knows! He need to go and hide somewhere.
Jerry looks like a bully and a racist. But Greeney needs to worry about his Jets and how they are messing up their future while losing trying to please A-Rod.
Greeny needs to only talk about the Jets as the host of a national show about the entire league and sports in general? lol i don't think it's Greeny's problem to fix, and this is literally his job lol what are you talking about
@@mattcarberry368 seems everytime I watch the show it's about the Cowboys. That's what I'm talking about.

Years of disappointment is making Jerry Jones starting to lose it. Now it’s threatening journalists and radio hosts.
I wonder how he's going to act at the owner's meeting when the lions' owner comes in

Jerry sucks!
Jerry has lost his marbles. The man himself is cracking under the pressure of his own created team. A team that is now called a joke and soft. You made it and you can't accept it.
Why did the Cowboys give Prescott so much money? You don't give that much cash to those kinds of players. They're known to quit working once they get paid. What Dallas needs is a refined pocket passer to get the ball to the playmakers. You shouldn't have to design your entire offense around a scrambling quarterback.
Worst thing to do should of waited in the offseason now Dak is content now
Because they didn’t pay him a few years ago … Jerry kept pushing it back and now they had to pay him or lose him … if they would’ve lost him they would’ve been in a rebuild and
Jerry Jones has been the problem. Dak is the least of the problems with this team. You probably didn't watch the video before commenting.
Dak rarely ever scrambles
Oh, so Mike, you say you have "a lot of respect" for "Mr. Jones?" You say "that was beneath him." You say, "I don't think you're a small person." That's disappointing to me that you defend him.
Bro ESPN call for athletes and coaches jobs all the time 😂😂😂
Why are they saying this is uncomfortable, this is who he is, this is his character and people just let him move like he wants to move.
Dallas will never do anything of any significance as long as Jerry Jones is alive and running that organization.
Another reason why I am no longer a Cowboys fan!
If the cowboys got a SB for every hard question Jerry Jones would answer. Theyd still have 0 since the 90s
His ego is beyond bruised, it's broken
It wasn't even really criticism, they just asked genuine questions.
