I think the most powerful part of this masterpiece is the very beginning; from 0:00 to 1:05, started within hopeful lullaby and dreams of love and peace - embodied by the womanly voice, then suddenly plunged into a vortex of hatred and grieving justice - which is signified by the latin chants...
This piece fits so amazingly well for the prologue of Inferno. This might be a SPOILER for those who haven't read. However this fits so good as he runs away from his chasers and the piece here would reach it's crescendo as he makes that leap. Well at least for me I feel the intro portion of this till the crescendo fits so well for that scene.
Hans Zimmer is constantly having a divine intervention from the Gods of the Universe. His music is their thoughts placed into our material world. How. The. Hell. Does. He. Touch. My. Heart. Every. Time!!! Time and Time again!!
All of his music is very similar with themes and ideas... but it doesn't make it any less incredible. His music gives me chills and half the time I feel like closing my eyes and crying because of the beauty he creates in his masterpieces.
One of the main lessons in the bible is "love the sinner, hate the sin." Even though you might do, or believe in something i find evil, I will treat you and respect you the same as anyone other person. We are all sinners, so no one has the right to judge another person based on their beliefs or actions. I respect you, and your beliefs. You are in my prayer's my friend, may God bless you and your life.
This is a beautiful piece. For me it illustrates how both science and religion (by themselves) can be both beautiful and dangerous, and both can go too far.
TXRider To quote from V for Vendetta: Evey: "Is that the Koran? I didn't know you were religious." Deitrich: "I'm not. I don't have to be religious in order to find it's stories beautiful or it's poetry moving." To me, all religion can ever be is poetry, good and bad. I'd rather search for answers through science. But science is a tool and tools can't go too far. They are subjective to their users, but the users however can use the tools to go too far. It all depends on the person, not the tool in her hand.
+Sakuragi Rokurouta but in that sense, religion is also a tool. yes, some atrocities in the world were done in the name of religion, but many charities and other good things were done in the name of religion as well. if you want to acknowledge the bad thing, then you also have to accept the good thing. science is to a certain degree is also an ideology. science is not the truth, but science is the most probable explanation of our surrounding depending on facts we have collected based on our observations and explanations. remember, eugenics during late 19th century and early 20th century was supported by scientific research done during that period.
Sakuragi Rokurouta why did you have to stress on "capital S"? Are you implying that there are other form of science that's not in accordance with your belief? Are you trying to use a no true Scotsman? Remember that in eugenics, it was not government policies or personal biased that influenced science of eugenics, but the other way around.
Ten utwór budzi wszelakie emocje. Od emocji strachu, niepewności, aż po spokój. Może nawet przepowiada przyszłość naszej planety. Ale każdy ma inne wyobrażenia.
No lie - I had just watched this movie, a year or so back. I wanted to hear this music again so I clicked on RUclips. As it was playing the live news report of the Japan tsunami came on my TV as it was happening. I will never forget this music now, the two are linked in my mind.
I agree with this... I mean, his background wasn't even shown in the movie! He was an awesome character... and I would like him too.... if, you know, he didn't kill his own father and become crazily obsessed with "resurrecting hope from horror"....
Imagine comprehending this music with science... without feeling and without emotion... Music, like life is timeless and cannot be stopped and analysed, reversed or slowed, but must be listened through to the end... when finally when you have heard it all, now understand it all without words or text, but merely the essence.
EXTRAORDINARIO !!! EXCELENTE !!! MAGNIFICO !!! solo como Hanz Zimmer unicamente lo puede hacer. La Magia que le imprime a su musica es realmente admirable. FELICITACIONES HANS POR TANTA MAGIA !!!
This is one of zimmer's best scores in my opinion and i love it so much i have covered "503" and "160 BPM" with the orchestra and my guitar on my channel .. absolutely splendid job on this.
I remember reading "Angels & Demons when it first came out. My father, who is a 32nd Degree Mason, was curious about what I was so engrossed reading. I showed him the book and inquired about just what the Illuminati was/is. His eyebrows shot up in his hairline and he asked how I knew about them. I explained the plot of Angels & Demons to him and told him, "When I finish reading this, you should read it as well." He did and was amazed at the detail of Dan Brown's writing. To this day, Angels & Demons remains one of his and my favorite books and resides in his collection.
It's like the angels and demons are fighting, and this is their theme song. You got sneeking parts, attack parts, suspense parts, and evan a what's happening part!
The part starting at 3:00 and ending at 4:05 makes me think of the LHC at CERN. I can almost in my minds eye see the protons and anti-protons whizzing around the massive accelerator finally colliding in an awesome display of power resulting in a single Higgs-Boson whizzing off to be detected at the either CMS or ATLAS detectors. The awesome crescendo of particle physics resulting in a blast mimicking the conditions 1 * 10^-43 seconds after the big bang.
Joshua Bell is also known for being the violinist for Josh Groban before Lucia Micharelli was given that honor and he went out on the Illuminations tour as well. His albums are great and are produced by David Foster.
I remember being at the cinema: lights went out and suddenly this piece of music started...I closed my eyes and let it flow in, it was just the music and me...took me a while until I realized being at the cinema after all XD
At first I thought of him as one heck of a 'lift artist' . . . because there was quite a bit of stuff that sounded really familiar. That was several years ago back in "Gladiator" days. Now he continues to impress like Vangelis.
I remember a fan made trailer for The Dark Knight Rises using the first 1:05 of this piece. They had the dialogue from Batman Begins where Alfred reminds Bruce of what his Father told him when he fell in the well. "Why do we fall?" Sadly, it seems the person who made it has long since removed it from RUclips. :(
You don't ask how God does something. Simply because an answer is impossible, God transcends our very being. There are some things humans cannot possibly understand.
Marvelous... sound... science and religion, applied sound and soundtrack... good shrill echo by choir, good mixing... cardio oscilloscope ...beep....good engineering...
wow, the soundtrack for Might and Magic Heroes 6 sounds almost exactly like the first part of this song. Track 01 i think it is, go check it out people.
Gosh, why must this guy have these sounds in all his tracks that, when you're listening to them with headphones on, you always have this feeling somebody is knocking on your door? xD btw, amazing sounds, as always.
Vezměte si pointa toho filmu. Je jasné, že v knize to není, ale vizuální toho doplňuje velmi dobere politické intriky na půdě Vatikánu To je to pozadí toho filmu a zjistíte, že relativita filmu je stejná jako kniha. I když částice antihmoty v knize není. Misím si ze film je dobře zpracovány a hudba je k tomu filmu super.
00:00 - 1:06 The time was right. Days... nearly weeks... months? Years? Whatever the time had taken to plan out this magnificent strategy to conquer it will surely pay off. You take a few steps leading into the dimly lit room, taking in the warm stench of failure, feeling the reminiscence of it stab you in the back of your mind. With determined eyes you place the gloves on and prepare for utter domination. "PICKLE JAR!!" you cry aloud. "YOU. WILL. BE. OPEEENED!!!!"
i've watched the intro of this movie so many times just to hear this song lol
Yo también lo hacía

One of my favourite pieces from 'Angels and Demons'. Truly brilliant!
Une musique merveilleuse, rien a dire sur ce compositeur qu'est Hans Zimmer. Bravo a lui !!

Shut up Dawson

Why movie was so hit because of Zimmer and Tom Hanks the starting was totally damn awesome 👌
This is just hauntingly beautiful
Tres minutos de silencio para volver en sí...... respirar profundo.... y reproducir nuevamente.......
I love the Camerlengo. He's evil, smart, charming, persuasive, innocent. But in the movie, he's retracted as a fanatic asshole. Not fair
I agree with this... I mean, his background wasn't even shown in the movie! He was an awesome character... and I would like him too.... if, you know, he didn't kill his own father and become crazily obsessed with "resurrecting hope from horror"....
how can u mix evil with innocent ?
+johnny yogourtjian because he has all the evilness to think about the plan, but he truly believes it's for the human being own well.
i agree
Not evil. Just brainwashed and deluded like all religious zealots.
Imagine comprehending this music with science... without feeling and without emotion... This is pure magic, timeless and speaks to the soul
0:30 - 1:05 I felt my skin bristle :o lol

SUPERB, NEAT.
ENJOYABLE MOVIE!!
THANK'S FOR THE POSTING.
Marty O'Donell and Hans Zimmer = one of the best composers of our time.
NBC should totally use this for the Rio 2016 promotional campaign and the closing montage, in addition to the intro to the Opening Ceremony.
Breathtaking into the heart
It's wonderfully rich and haunting, thank you for sharing
So... beautiful

the first violin bit was actually a piece from Hans' "Chevaliers de Sangreal" from "Da Vinci's Code".
Joshua Bell is also known for being the violinist for Josh Groban before Lucia Micharelli was given that honor and he went out on the Illuminations tour as well. His albums are great and are produced by David Foster.
hans is the best in the world
The best in the WORLD is me,but i am not here for the money
that beginning! awesome
This film is fantastic.
first notes sound like Chevaliers de Sangreal
It's because Chevaliers de Sangreal is the Robert Langdon's theme ;)

Bom Filme, Ótima trilha sonora !
Oh my god, yes! Thank you SO much! :)
its called the god particle because the discovery of it will lead to insight on the origins of the universe.
You're free to believe in God, that's just fine and dandy. Just don't expect the rest of us to have the same mindset.
Ah, this makes me want to look into the bible again. I was expecting an angry retaliation, but this was a nice explanation :). Thank you :D!
plus Michele Brustia and Paul Bjoerlingand (Proofsound) aswell as Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikician (Monarch Audio)
that chello / violin is so haunting!!!
A voz da Ciência é a voz dos Deuses. Nos entregando a verdade...
I know the last two you mentioned and I agree, mostly because they made a soundtrack for Mass Effect 3
