- Hello, everyone! My dear subscribers and viewers requested this etude, so I decided to re-learn it. It is in process, but hopefully there are some ideas for you to take away. Have fun with it!

This is, bar none, one of the most intense and insane teaching videos I've seen. There is so much valuable information that multiple repeated viewings is a mandatory requirement. I like how you touch on so many aspects of playing, even the importance of one's core muscles! I need to watch this at least a couple more times to just input all the amazing teaching points, much less start digesting them. Thank you for this incredible video. It gives me a glimpse into the mind of a true top notch pianist/artist.

Thank you so much for giving tips on how to play precise as well as musical. I haven't had a teacher for almost 4 years now and I've taken a really long break from piano for other extracurriculars. As I'm getting back into it, these videos makes me feel like I have a teacher again! I just want to thank you for giving us such good information free of charge! 🙏
Dear John, It’s hard to be consistent with anything but if your heart is in it, you will always come back to it. Videos can’t replace a real teacher but with keen ears and passion your work will pay off!
@@JeewonLeepiano What a wonderful and true answer!
I have yet to watch the whole video attentively, but I can already recognize the great wealth of information you are providing here. Thank you so much for this!
So glad there is a video for this. Just began teaching myself two days ago. Having some real trouble.
I am amazed at the pianist’s agile fingers with control over the keys!
This piece seems perfect for an accomplished pianist.
At a time when I find it challenging to distinguish one day from the next,
this rigorous and dazzling piece gives me a great pleasure. Thanks
hiddenmoon, you're too funny!!🤣
Wow. Absolutely brilliant.
Thank you. Wonderful!
I've kind of run out of superlatives with these videos. :) I was never taught how to practice so these videos are so valuable to me. I've played most of this for years but certain sections always seemed to get in my way. I can't wait to try your suggestions! They should make all the difference. This all makes so much sense. Thank You Jeewon!
You know , I am teaching myself as I make these videos. Being able to play is of course fun and satisfying but it is equally fun if not more, to analyze it and break things down for others to try it too. I am pretty sure I learn the most from my own videos 😄
Thank you so much for willing to try some of these ideas!!
OMG thank you so much! You saw my comment from your previous videos requesting this etude, I appreciate this video so much!
Yes! I remember you, Theo!
Thank you so much!
Thx for the help
Merci Jeewon Lee ! Je n'ai pas votre niveau, mais je peux sentir que vos conseils sont basés sur la réflexion , le bon sens et l'expérience. Ca me plaît beaucoup. Je pratique un peu cette étude, juste pour m'entraîner à déchiffrer plus vite une partition, et du coup, suite à cette vidéo, je vais intégrer vos conseils.
Wowwww i love your channel!! I’m studying the same Etude and I followed your tips for Op 10 4 and it improved my Etude a LOT!!!!
So happy to hear that!
Yes the 10 4 was wonderful!
thank you for this incredible video.
i'm drooling as it's my favorite etude and I crave to play it, but even if I have the "level", I don't know how to practice correctly (I ruin my work by bad practicing), reason why this kind of video is so valuable to me. thanks a lot
Thank you! Success always depends on the quality of practice!

Hi! Thanks for the tutorial! I have small hands and I struggle at part 6:33. Do you have any tips for me to practice and play crystal clear like you did?
Practice it in double dotted rhythms. But also do not try to over- articulate every single note. Pay more attention to the pinky and fourth finger making a line (A-G, A-G, A-G). I think that should help!
@@JeewonLeepiano Thank you so much!!! :)
Thank you!🙏🏻💖
Very informative great video
My daughter is working on this one, so difficult
You are amazing!! The control, temperance and concentration you have is 💯 % ! I’ve never seen this in any pianist. Hopefully I can work my way up here to a piece like this. I would love to see your take on Rachmaninov Concerto No.2 Mov 1 &2💕I’m currently starting from the back of Mov 1 and would love to see your dissection.
Amazing information
Your tutorials on the chopin etudes are so good. I hope you can put them in a playlist and when you have time create more! My son loves them
Thank you. I am working on one right now!
@@JeewonLeepiano thanks!
我想,要彈這首歌需要十分熟悉scales 的琶音, 及注意指法, 不清楚我有否理解錯誤了🫣. (現練習這首歌中)
謝謝你的解說.
I actually think that, apart from arpeggios, being able to read/hear every single note in the sextuplets is the key to the success playing this piece. Otherwise playing will have to rely rather heavily on the muscle memory for such a long etude. Nevertheless reading/hearing may become difficult when playing it on a piano or in a venue with loud resonance (murky).
🥰 THANK YOU..... 🤗
I don't understand how the piano pedal works
Thank you so much 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
6:33 the most difficult part of the etude for me)) because the right hand positioning is so weird, with your thumb on B.
true same for me
Hello, should I practice this with pedal? Or be able to play the whole piece first and then learn pedal? What about speed? Thank you so much!
Hello!
I suggest you practice it without pedal until you can play through it in one tempo without stopping too many times. That way, you can listen to your bare sounds better (so you are not unintentionally hiding behind the pedal). But it’s so tempting, I know. It’s totally OK to play with the pedal once in a while and practice the details without it.
@@JeewonLeepiano Thank you so much!!
Hi! I had a question do proceed by polishing 4 bars or should I play the whole things at once?
Between 13:36 and 13:40, are you supposed to half pedal those chords in the left hand?
how many chopin etudes have you played in the past just out of curiosity
I played about half of them. :)

Slightly wrong notes in the right hand . Go check out the sheet . That part is really annoying
