why is plouffe talking about these things like he didn't already know it was gonna happen
This was actually recorded in March, he just added the video footage this week
@@traviscoates6878 Facts
Got to absolutely love as a Braves fan, after hearing his predictions in March, I sat back and laughed while all these other idiots squirmed. I mean I can’t blame them, things were tough throughout, but in all their squalor I just kept telling all my friends. Braves over the Stros in 6, because Coach Trev said so, calm down please.
Just a lucky guess
He's on Cali time.
The most impressive thing? Plouffe recorded this before game 6 started.
He recorded it in march 🤣
😂
Some people get mad at bat flips and when guys showboat a little after hitting a bomb.
But frankly if you fire off a nuke that far in the World Series and it goes out of the actual ballpark.... Yeah you do whatever you want at that point. It's all fair game. Pimp that shot
Also, I don't mind baseball fights
It’s the World Series in an elimination game so they’re not exactly trying to give free base runners but if your team is going to have a guy like Correa doing the My Time pimpjob then you have to accept it when the tables are turned and they did. No hit batters or benches clearing after this, especially in their home park…they just kept it moving. The right move by them if they’re okay with their guys doing it.
Also worth mentioning that he turned toward and talked to his own dugout, not the opponents.
Facts
Jorge did that for you Plouffe, he wanted to make sure you were right
Still can't believe the Braves threw game 5 to make Trev look good
Lol
Indeed
The House had Houston for Game 5. The House ALWAYS wins. :-0)
Lol. They even teased with the early
Grand Slam by Duvall and then the Trevor call to Dugout to remind the squad.
I'm a tennis player, so pitching battles are a lot like serving battles in tennis. I watched this at bat and when he hit the homer I was floored It was such an intense and coordinated battle between the two.
Stuff like this is why I love baseball.
Definitely one of the best at bats EVER as a Braves fan. Snit had commented earlier in the series about the quality of Soler’s at bats. Thank you for breaking it down.
Have watched this several times now and it’s just as good as the first. Soler is forever a hero in Braves country
Soler hit the greatest home run in Braves history
@Arct1c. Uhh Hank Aaron played for the braves
@@Branif I know?
As a baseball fan, the drama of this inning was fantastic. As an Astros fan, this inning played like a Hitchcock film where you could here the bomb timer ticking down, but you would regularly experience a moment of hope followed by immediate dread. It looked like Garcia was tiring and Raley was up in the 'pen if Garcia started losing it. However, Raley is a low-leverage reliever who gets worse the more the bases are occupied. So Raley isn't warming up in case Garcia is wild, he's up in case Garcia gives up a homer. With MMP's roof open, the park becomes a hitter's park and most fly balls become homers. Garcia just gave up a hit which means he is starting to lose his stuff. Garcia knows he needs to begin relying on his command, but Maldonado is concerned that a wild pitch opens up the field for the hitter by advancing runners to second and third. Both know that Soler is only interested in a repeat of his Game 1 homer, but walking him would only mean a better hitter comes to the plate with the bases loaded. They try to induce the weak contact, but Soler doesn't bite. They start dotting the edges, but the umpire gifts Soler two balls. They sneak in a slider for a strike, but that was an auto-take from Soler. All three know Soler has already won this battle because Soler's strike zone has been effectively constricted. Garcia tries to fight this reality and Soler swats off these attempts with ease. The three of them know that Garcia's only chance to end the inning is to put the ball where Soler wants and hope he whiffs. We all know what happens next...
A player will never auto-take in a 3-1 count, and soler didn’t do that here either. He may have told himself he’s only swinging on a fastball, but that means it isn’t an auto take
@@pohorex6834 you're right, I meant that he was sitting on the inside pitch because he's only swinging on a pitch that he can knock out of the park. I said auto-take because I don't think he expects to get the pitch he wants and he's not going to swing on anything else. I just couldn't find the right words for it until later.
@@steampunk_willy I gotchu, just wanted to make sure you didn’t think he was legit autotaking
Can you do a Sequence on Tyler Matzek coming in with the tying run at second and striking out the side in Game 6 of the NLCS?

Anatomy of baseball 101...love it!
Nice hat brings back bad memories as a braves fan!
Thank you Thank you. I was sitting in a parking lot waiting on my daughter to get out of gymnastics and listening to this on the radio. I love listening to sports on the radio but I wanted to see this entire at bat since it happened and this is the first place to have it. Awesome.
Congrats on the prediction and thanks for the breakdown. You all have brought me back into baseball and I'm better for it. You're the man Mr. Plouffe.
Trev I really do love sequence. I'm fine with once a week just please don't stop making these!
Jorge Soler swings SO FUCKING HARD! hahaha i love it
Also the last week soler was with the royals he figured it out and went crazy which is why we were able to trade him in the first place
Amazing moment! One for the Ages.
Coach! Great prediction!
Jorge is a strong man. Hit a ball that Far... That's the way Jorge hit with ATL very patient that's what surprised me the most about Jorge.
A whole new meaning to "leaving the yard."
Great breakdown! As a non-player, I love hearing former players talk "tunnels" and timing and such. Very enlightening. Thanks and Go Braves!
breaking down, you earning bragging rights for life to the rest of the Baseball community
Best part was the Umpire with the mouthguard acting like he's Steph Curry.
SOLER POWER!!! ☀️🔋 INTO THE SOLER SYSTEM!!! 💫🌙🪐☄
Great video / breakdown , I placed a bet before the series for soler to win mvp . Got so excited when he crushed that 3rd homer of the series !
Yo Trev, would you consider a sequence that compares the two Swanson homers in the series? In my memory they were very similar ABs, in more than just the result.
Can't wait until the Bi6 movie comes out starring Dennis Quaid
"Gets the barrel to it right there, Soler does"
Yoda or Trevor Plouffe?
I mean he does have foresight so maybe the force is with him.
Wait a damn minute. Plouffe, why the hell are you wearing a 96 WS hat when we let that series slip away to the damn Yanks?
The ball landed a few minutes ago in Mexico.
great video! it really seems like the team chante made a big difference. what's more important: teammates or competition e.g playoff race
Plouffe should have posted this video in July.
BI6!! Coach Trev, whatever your prediction is for next season, I'm putting a little bit of money on it.....
Please breakdown Rajai Davis' homer off Chapman in game 7 of 2016 WS.

Yall need to get me my Braves in 6 t-shirt faster lol
Jabroni.. cool word
Garcia coulda' used some Roman to get those pitches up and in.
Viva Cuba
Worst pitch in crucial moment, anything in the middle
Its a gift from God for a slugger like Soler
Holy SHINTO Batman! When did NASA join the Braves squad, cause that ball left the park for orbit! ⚾️🏆🪓🪓🪓🇺🇸

@@HufflepuffBaseball42313 Yep...more parity than ever. But the Braves are on the rise, not on the decline. they have a good shot.
If any up pitches were staying up from Garcia, I feel Maldonado would have called up and in. But they just weren't. They were all dropping into the zone.
Trev, how could one go about getting a card signed by you or Rose? I went out and got a nice card of both you guys. I just started back collecting and found Roses card in a Allen & Ginter box.
We need special edition BI6 Trev card.
Autographed, of course.
I’d say send it to the Jomboy Offices in NY!
The Braves had the best record over the second half of the season. The best team won.
I know the 3-1 pitch was accurately called strike 2, but DEAR GOD what the hell was that framing job?
I love you
one should've been strike and the other one he swung the bat.
why is no one wearing baseball clothing in the crowd, strange
A Cuban mile lol
No shot that was 446.
Okay bro comon the camera angle on the check swing angle at 4:48 is horrible and we all know it. I am fairly certain Joe Buck of all people even pointed out that angle is deceitful. Maybe it was Smoltz. Sounds like an actual insight so it was probably Smoltz. Can't say I remember for sure though.
Ball still hasn’t landed
Such bad intentions in that swing.
“The umps always screw over the braves” proceed to give the braves a 3-1 count off back to back strikes in a 1-1 count.

Why is “sequence” not a weekly feature? This is one of the top three greatest segments I’ve ever seen in sports media history. Why are you trying to keep Trev down?
Anyone get the exit velocity on that A-12 Archangel?
The stare down from Soler was almost like him saying "I got you figured out and time up, and we both know it." The swagger
That was a 💣 💣 💣 I still can't believe it was 446. That was a Tank of a HomeRun. Had to have went 480 to 500 feet. That ball was looking like a beach ball to him. Lets Gooo Braves, #BravesCountry
no way that was 446. Everyone has commented that it was a bomb. It had to be 500.
@@Gnofg fr
I find it funny that it looks like Soler hits the ball harder than he actually does. Look at his home run during his career and you’ll know what I mean
Still was a tank of a shot tho
It landed in a fenced-in area. I suspect someone's going to do some detective work in Houston and figure out the real distance.
“A Cuban mile” 👏👏
"DONE" music begins to play
For reaction persepctive check out the 4th row Astros fan on the lower left at 8:34 🤦♂️
11 minutes to break down an AB? Not interested!
Nice to see someone give an objective stance on a pivotal at bat. If the ump were consistent and called the high ball a strike like he did throughout the game with similar pitches scratching the zone, and the first base ump got the check swing call right, soler strikes out. Whole different ball game there.
Lol cope harder. Astros were fortunate to even be in a game 6. Should've been a sweep.
Bomba!💥
Imagine if the Braves outfield next season is Acuna Soler Rosario and Duvall
