What he was saying about wishing he could hug his mom on the field really resonated with me. My grandpa made me a braves fan and we used to watch the braves games together a lot. Sadly he passed away back in May so I couldn't celebrate with him
I’m right there with you buddy. My grandpa passed away on Christmas Eve of 2019 and it was pretty unexpected. He was a die hard Braves fan and of course my dad was a huge fan who passed that passion down to me. I miss him so much and when Freddie caught that last out it brought tears to my eyes because I know he was watching from above. God is great all the time and all the time God is great!
As a Phillies fan, we like to call Freddie Freeman, Triple F...Freakin' Freddie Freeman. He is an awesome player and he kills the Phillies almost everytime he plays against us so FFF is out of respect more than a dis on him. I wish we had him on our team! Hearing him speak at the All-Star game with his son beside him really showed me just the type of person, not ballplayer, he was. He explained his son being there, experiencing the game with him, was what it was all about. A sign of a good Dad and a good person. Congrats and please take it easy on us in Philadelphia in 2022.

This ATL team has a great winning culture that actually does mean something. I am a Mets fan and saw the opposite end of what happens when adversity hits your team, very admirable what the Braves accomplished and there really isn’t much of an excuse to make your team better at the deadline if you have a shot. ATL has a good chance to add another ring potentially as well because this wasn’t even their best roster of the past 4 years you could argue it was 3rd or 4th best roster in that time. But they must keep Freddie he is their metronome.
