Have you heard of " Adventures in Grocery land" . Another Canadian ut in Atlantic East coast. She started with a 21.00 budget pr week. You should see what she has accomplished 😊
Indeed! She was a long time viewer of my original $21 A Week Grocery Challenge! If you're into that sort of thing here's a link to my first one in 2021 (you'll have to tolerate or skip past my first few episodes of sketchy filming if you want lol) ;) ruclips.net/p/PL0mlSDF8Ck4J-eNmms6NfTZpIDhQdwOQ8 Melanie does a great job too! :D
Nice job on the budget! Two weeks in a row our Aldi has had butter on sale for 2.69 a pound with a limit of six. Do I have 12 pounds of butter in the freezer? I sure do!
I'm pretty sure the hot dogs were so expensive because they were all beef. We just finished a lovely Palm Sunday Lupper (combo lunch/supper in the middle of the afternoon) and I grilled us each a large beef hamburger we bought last summer on sale. I looked at the receipt (handily copied by my phone and placed in my notes) and discovered we got 2 pounds of hamburger patties, super quality, on a super special for USD$4!!! I don't know when that will ever happen again. You will enjoy all your foods, and I think you're doing great on your budget.
You're probably right on! Mr. Wanders would have grabbed the 'all beef' ones without question I'm sure :P I have to stock up on ground beef right away. I actually didn't realize how low I was but I'm happy with the prices I saw at Costco for the lean ground beef so I'll probably grab some from there! Nothing like your prices though...I'm always so envious! ;)
You ARE doing great! And I think it’s very wise to shop every week so that you can take advantage of all of the sales! So nice of your hubby to get your coke!
We were going to grill brats and hotdogs. The brats were 3.99 for 20oz and the hotdogs we like were 5.99 for 12oz (which is $8/lb!) I didn’t get any hotdogs. Will not pay more per pound for hotdogs than for ground beef (I can almost always get ground beef (80/20) for $5/lb and sometimes I can get steak for 6-10 a pound)
Right? Hot dogs for more than $5/lb is pricey! I could have made hamburgers instead lol healthier-ish and probably better tasting haha sometimes I just feel like a nice dog though 😂 🌭
Missed the live! Greetings from California on the homeward hustle. Will have to cook a lot of fresh veg this week because you can’t bring them across the border!
haha I allow Pepsi in the house only because I at least won't drink ALL of it really fast! In restaurants I'd rather order something else if they don't have Coke though!

Would love any and all garden videos, starting seeds, anything 🥰
Awesome! I'll be showing what I'm doing this year pretty quickly!
"It's fine. It's fine. It's fine." LOL You are doing great!
:P Thank you Adrienne!

That's a great deal! I'd have 12 pounds too!! Awesome!
I bought 2 hams today because they were .79 a pound USD lol. I couldn't resist. They will feed us for quite awhile.
That’s great! Hams are so versatile 👍🏼 and so affordable during holidays. Happy Easter 🐣 🌸

I like to check the deals every week and it's a bummer when I wait and miss the good deals! He's such a sweetie!
Blackwell Dairy ❤ my grandparents used to live on Blackwell Rd. Last house my Opa ever built. I love that area… childhood memories.
Awesome! I love that area too!
Super curious what the next series is going to be!
I have a few short ideas in the works at the moment... ;D

If you are going to shop at Co-op get a membership. At year end you will get a dividend on your spending. Thanks
Ohh that's a good idea to keep in mind. I'll see how much I'm going there! Thanks for the suggestion!
Sometimes we just need stuff, and itson sale...lol. Im with u.
Right? It's hard to pass up a sale item that I actually need! ;)

It was so short that I just uploaded without a premiere! Sorry Bev! ;) Safe travels home!
Team Diet Coke here…Pepsi is not an acceptable substitute (is Pepsi ok? No, no it’s not!)

Omg!! Why are the dogs so much?! How much ounces is that? Sounds like ground beef is cheaper ouch!
Right?? One of the problems with sending your wonderful husband to do the shopping haha ;)
