1. You cant escape normally on xbox because A. You cant make a grappling hook and B. the building you are meant to go to only has boxes and no ladder like the wiki says. 2. You can blind the camera but you need duct tape, there is no shaving cream for some reason . 3. On xbox the guard outfit is practically useless as if you are in a 5x5 tile radius of the guards they send you to solitary. 4. Even the alternate strategy the wiki provides doesnt work as you still need to go through the building with the ladder. 5. Your awesome for helping me because I didnt even know you could beat HMP. Irongate on xbox. Thank you so much!

it seems harder now,but i did it your way and it took a few times,kept getting knocked out and it seems like there are more guards now. Playing on Playstation but i got the plat tonight on my b-day :)

Or roofs. Roofs seem to always have escapes. Except sadly that seems to mainly only be with PC on custom prisons. Iron gate seems to be the only main roof involved escape. I mean shankton state pen actually has. Normal OOF escape but nobody ever seems to do it. I really like it though. You can go over the wall with a grappling hook on shankton if you explore the roofs enough. Once you are over you just escape. Don't know if it's like this on console but still. You also gotta cut a fence on said roof. Anyway bleh

Well i have the escapists only on my phone, and they completely removed the raft from the mobile version, so trying to escape from hmp irongate on mobile is completely useless. Or at least i cant find any balsa wood.

im late but super glitch idk if it works on xb1 or pc i only have the game on 360 but the glitch is so when its the end of the day make sure you have a guard with a key in your room and mke sure he stays knocked out and so take the key and sleep and if you get the thing saying the solitary just re-load the game and you should have the key and have infinite whatever key u choose but i am not sure on other stuff like ps's and xb1 or pc or whatever else

Great news, well done for escaping! Nothing official but i reckon Alcatraz will be ported from the PC version soon. They're busy pushing PS4 version at the mo so expect new maps in a couple of months
just a very strange thing i noticed in the escapists files was in item eng there were some strange items like dead rat, fire extinguisher, bag of cement, concrete etc. why were these items not used in game.

One more tip, after you beat the guard, you can tie him up with duc tape (for 3h in game, i guess), and the escape is more easy.

I didn't use the lockdown to escape I actually escaped normally, but it went into lockdown because I forgot a bed dummy so I escaped anyway

xbox is like easy mode for alcatraz or hmp irongate :P you dont have to pay for the boat on alcatraz and the guards havnt got tazers on irongate

I know how to deactivate the cameras! you have to use duct tape, it will deactivate for 60 seconds
