(6/22/23): I came to notice that there is a DeviantArt Account that has a few of the DLC Prison Maps in a full render that don't seem to be anywhere else on the internet. I asked for permission to use them but never got a response, and my PC died before I could get the chance to change my mind and use some of them anyways. (6/26/23): In Escape Team, I believe the guards only notice you aren't in your cell due to Low Prisoner Opinion Inmates calling guards into the cell after it hits Midnight since that brings them far enough into the room to be within range of your bed. So while Pause Buffering is useful for some prisons, I don't believe that Escape Team is one of them.

I am so relieved that I was able to get the help of someone to necromancy this in time for the 1-Year Anniversary of my Escapists 2 Without Crafting Run. Sadly, I don't really have the ability to further tweak the video, so some things I wish I could change (volume of music for some DLC Prisons comes to mind) I just could not.
Thank you all so much for making this possible. I think I am going to be forced into making shortform content for a bit due to just not having a functioning PC for editing, but I will keep trying to make good stuff for you all.
I hope you all enjoyed this. I worked hard on this, and I think I deserve a rest :D

Imagine being literally outside of the wall and getting a magic letter materializing into your hand saying you're going to solitary, so you walk BACK into the prison to go there...
I think that the warden of wardens just teleports you but only when a guard notices that your missing, and his power only works in a certain area.

Imagine if you could only create red keys instead for example, whole run would be ruined cause tutorial would become unbeatable
I think it's funny how you can just cheese most of the dlc prisons by breaking through a single unbreakable block
Ok I gotta thank you Generic because now I know why the prison keeps getting on lockdown at center perks when I knock down 2 guards, because there is ONLY 5 guards
Yup! And I'm not sure about this one, but I think it also holds true if you knock out one guard and then a random prisoner knocks out a second. Once the downed guards percentage is below 40% though, lockdown should end if the guards see you... I think. Not sure, but I *think* that's how it works.

@@GenericMystic Lockdown doesn't end if the guards see you(aslong as its not nighttime after lights out,and if it is if u're wearing a guards uniform it still won't end the lockdown)they have to knock you out first

When I was watching this, I kept forgetting about the "without crafting" part, and kept thinking to myself "Why is he not using a bed dummy" or other useful items. The amount of times I caught myself saying this was unbelievable. Great video, well done! :D
This video popped up randomly on my recommended page, and I just gotta say:
This was a treat. It had it all. It had easy wins, hard-fought wins, glitches, witty banter, and it was all centered around a game I've played so much, yet I never even considered something like this. I mean... you beat *_THE TUTORIAL,_* the thing that FORCES you to craft, without crafting.
And to top it off, that ending that honestly gripped me. Idk, maybe I'm just a sucker for a good story, but it really did get to me. You trying to find a way through San Pancho felt like when the unlikely hero goes against the superboss at the end of a movie. You struggled and fought, but found no way through at first. Then you took a step back, thought a little more closely, and saw an (admittedly very narrow) path to success.
Keep up the videos like this, and I'll keep coming back. You've earned a sub from me, and you also earned the right to take a dang nap.
I like telling a story with these challenge runs rather than it being just "In this situation do X and you'll win" which works for a guide, but in my opinion takes away from the average viewing experience. I want to make it fun for those who have no idea what's going on, and seeing comments like this reassure me that I'm doing at least something right. Thank you!
This game was always super hard for me to beat regularly, cool to see just how much it can be broken!
You can take a shovel, dig a hole on top of the one you went down into, make the shovel endless with a bug, break iron blocks and the underground world of the tutorial is in your hands. That's really breaking the tutorial

Thank you! I wanted to add a bit more visual flare to this that The Escapists 2 Without Crafting lacked. I think I did a good job overall, but of course, I feel like there's still more I could do even if I don't know what.
This video is genuinely very impressive, 55 minutes worth of gameplay with very good editing, i'm amazed you're so not known
Well I do only have a few videos that cover a lot of generally niche games so I can understand why.
@@GenericMystictoo bad that these games are not as known and loved as they were before. I personally love when people take a look at the old(?) games and try to break them by removing a vital feature. I wish I could also do a video like that, but I lack editing and writing (scenario for the video) skills. But you, along with really nice editing, also have a nice voice which really suits for videos like these - not so monotonous (?), and you don't sound too bored playing the game haha. Great job, and I hope you get more recognized!!
That intro was clean how you explained while finishing the prison.
All the glitches being shown really show how unknowingly broken the game is, I never knew any of these glitches.

I feel like the most important thing to learn from me doing this game without Crafting is how well made The Escapists 2 is. It isn't nearly as broken as this game is and makes you appreciate it a lot more.

I was honestly expecting the tutorial to be the last one, and the crafting section to lock you in so hard it broke the run. Glad to see I was wrong!
People are commenting for me to do The Escapists: Walking Dead just so they believe they'll appear in that video that I might not even make while under the assumption I'd do the same bit twice.
If I were to do TE:WD it wouldn't be for at least another year and no, people commenting asking for it won't appear in that video if I were to make it. Stop asking please.

Oh wow what a masterpiece. Its criminal that this video has only 10k views it deserves a million. Fantastic challenge filled with tricks i somehow never knew. The underground wall chipping, the duct tapes wall colision glitch and much more.
Its extremely well edited, fun to watch and 55minutes just passed by quickly. Well done man, looking forward to more challenge videos.
This will be interesting to see, looking forward to Jungle Compound and HMP Irongate. Pretty sure those are impossible.

You can dig under the gate that would normally require you make a pass in Jungle Compound, it's not impossible.

... Seriously, though, I know nothing about this game or the sequel but this was pretty intriguing. Surprising amounts of strategy involved. The visuals were also surprisingly well put together - I need to brush up on that. I guess I'll be sticking around - hope your PC troubles are solved sooner rather than later.
Thank you for the compliments on the visuals! And yeah, computer stuff is sad to have happen. I can do a shorter form of content like shorts or 15-ish Minute Videos probably, but nothing lengthy like what I really enjoy making (mainly due to storage space on my laptop). I'm working on getting it all sorted though!

Well, devs just totally failed with making Alcatraz any difficult. Such a reputation irl, yes, but in the game, it's easier than Stalag Flucht, and that's with an intentional escape route. And with that being totally intentional you can say that they saw that as ironic and expectation breaking. In the end Alcatraz is probably most boring prison in the game :/

I think this has invigorated something in me to get back into the game again and play. I used to play this game all the time, and I was able to riot out of every single main prison in the game (the first 6 prisons, all recorded too 😎) and this video has given me some ideas on how to get higher scores, and possibly faster times! I also didn’t know that a good friend of mine, RareRiotMasterYT actually did find a lot of these glitches in this game. Very cool to see someone play this game still, and makes me excited to try and hop back on and play myself! This video was amazing, and I guess I should now see what you did for the 2nd game! I'm so glad this game is getting some attention among smaller youtubers now. It's a game I played the most as a 10 years old kid and I still love it to this day.

I ADORE your editing, pacing, and storytelling. You had me in the first couple minutes, but the Center Perks reveal made me fall in love! I've never even cared about this game before, I'm subscribing for quality ALONE!
Usually I would get all the keys with things I found out myself, maybe not first but without the internet. If you make guard hp to 0 take his key and go sleep mobile you save key without solitary.
Always different methods of doing this sort of stuff! I just look stuff up online because in a manner of speaking, reinventing the wheel can be fun but is ultimately pointless most of the time.
