I was there. What an unexpected treat this was to have Dave share the stage. It was one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever had the privilege of attending.
I bought a flight from NYC to Denver at 3am the night before this concert to. meet some friends already in Denver, and it was by far, hands down, the best decision I've ever made. The encore was magical, but the entire set was special. Can't even compare Set 1 & 2, but one thing I know for sure is their Standing on the Moon brought literal tears down my face. I've now watched this nearly 50 times and it still gives me chills. Something I'll never forget for the rest of my life. NFA.
I’m curious. Where was the show? DMB opened for the Grateful Dead in Vegas, May of 1995, just a couple months before Jerry died. They did a great job and Deadheads fell in love with them. Cool to see Dave play with Bobby and Micky for Dead & Co’s final tour. ✌🏼💀🌹🎶
@@Tony-im3bk but Jerry is lookin' so good man - he's even hitting the gym and pumping those bells. At least Dave is still packing away the steak and w/o him i'm not sure we'd ever see this version/tempo hit our earholes
Never personally was one to make sure I made it to a Dave show but been to plenty somehow or another. Dave's version of Watchtower absolutely takes the cake. Even over this one.
man what a f'n treat this kick ass performance was!! For those of us following the 'tempo wars' since 2017ish, this is a great example of what catapulted those "arguments" e.g. Make Jack Straw fast again. We've seen glimpses of how they can cook over the years but imho not to the extent of this year after the first three or four shows they've been on one...and it's be awesome! Maybe it took Billy packing it up (most likely due to the Slow and Co) to rattle some cages and kick them in the ass. But whatever the case is/was we are GRATEFUL and cannot WAIT to see the rebranding next year. Thank you Steam Powered Aero we LOVE the crowd pans and all around excellent recording my friend Cheers!
Wow! Thanks for the upload, my mind was blown! Talk about dreams coming true. I saw Rashad walk back in from the lightning warning, and I was wondering if Dave was there too. And last night it happened, I got to see my 2 favorites together Bob and Dave next to each other singing together... my heart! ❤️
