It's beautiful. Finally an aftermarket sterio that will please the 80's/90's BMW crowd.
But its fucking 400£
@@bangbangg1106 For real, I almost shit myself when I saw the price. That's the price of like half an body kit....
Got one in my 89 benz
@@bangbangg1106 bummer :/
@@iansmith5052 how ya liking it thinking of getting it since mine doesn’t work all that well but I hate the leds on these lol
Just ordered me one for my mint condition Euro e21 here in the states. It was the only thing missing. Brilliant.
👀👀 That looks so cool, I love the stock look.
Great video and presentation! Thanks for taking the time to upload
Legend is back
I have this in my DHADDY CSL ... looks awesome ... purchased from this business , great service and great staff 👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for your feedback!
I only write facts !!!! Great service and great staff at CAS!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful I’m getting this in the future
I just got one for my 1982 Opel Rekord Caravan, nice to have period correct equipment
Excellent video. I now want one.
Bruh the last slideshow was some goat shitl! I was wondering if it would look as good on my W123 as it does on your M3 but those interior images answered the question right away. Blaupunkt just sold another stereo
it looks amazing. i wish it had CD though...
Awesome! Gonna put this in our Celica Supra Mk2!
Put this in my e36m3 and it looks fantastic. Very nice
Kaytranada for the BT demo = instant like
had the info i needed thanks
How do you get it to stay on the source you last left it on? It seems to reset back to FM
I was hoping that was a tapedeck. I love that it suggests it, but it has modern features hidden below instead. I'm getting this for my 97 Miata.
If you have a 1997 car then better go for Blaupunk Frankfurt RCM 82 DAB. Basically same stuff but will match your car more and has some additional features this one has not.
@@MZisLife a 1997 car that first debuted in 1989, the bremen looks great in NA Miatas
Does it stick out like that or wasn't it inserted fully into the dash? And are the backlights always on instead of aligned with the headlight switch?
Great stereo... 👏👏👏👏
1:45 😍Finally, I`ll definately get his for my E30 Convertible! Thanks
Perfect for my e30 318is!
Will look good in my XKR.
Hi, I have a problem with my Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 DAB. Sometimes the volume suddenly mutes by itself; turning up the volume again it immediately goes to zero. Turning the radio off and on again does not solve the problem. It is solved only by disconnecting and reconnecting the ISO connector. How can I fix? Thank you very much!
One of these would look right at home in a 10AE Miata.
Perfect in my mk2 golf 👍
Since I had my own car, I only used Blaupunkt from Hamburg (with KeyCard) and Los Angeles. This time I'm pickier and my choices are only to keep the factory radio on or replace it with Blaupunkt Becker SQR 46 DAB.
I understand that the front plastic part (black) practically remains as a cover while holding the stereo in place. Please tell us 'true dimensions' (that part of the stereo that slips into the stereo slot). I'd really hope to know if I could shave a little bit around the slot in my dash panel, if a tad too tight, or if the height and width are just right. What are the dimensions behind the front fascia, please? Thanks in advance.
can you change the lcd colour and the buttons colour independently of eachother?
I have a 1990 car, Does it fit straight with old wiring and pins or I have to weld - convert mine ?
Thanks for responses
I have 1993 w140with Becker stereo and ( I think so ) Alpine amp.
Will this Blaupunkt work without ripping the whole harness off the car ?
Outrageous Price! I'd spend up to 150$ but Not 500$ that's just insane!
agree, for what it does the price is too high
Alpine all the way
Well, there is no competition regarding a vintage looking radio with modern functionality...
@@guntherschmitt2229 Continental?
just because you are an unrealistic tightarse does not mean this price is wrong.
i would definitively consider this if it wasnt for the price tag, instead i decided to go all out and pick up a second hand pretty top of the line clarion component casette deck along with some period correct speakers, sure its not as practical but it sure as hell is fun
I love it! Can it just slot right into the same housing for my Becker factory radio in my 1994 MB C280? How about the connections?
Is this still made? I didn't see it on the Blaupunkt site. Would look sweet in my 1998 M-Roadster.
Can u connect the Blaupunk BEA 80 EQ to this unit? I have a 1990 944 S2 Porsche and would love to connect it if is compatible. if it is not compatible, what amp would you recommend?
Maybe you can help I have this installed in my E34 the max volume is 50 and it doesn't seem that loud anyway to change that?
Great video. Any suggestions for a radio with AM FM MP3 for old style American muscle cars of the 1960's. Not more than 3 inches deep (75mm)...
oh god I want this...
I am considering this unit for my 1991 E30. In your video, once the unit is installed, it does not fit flush ( it sticks out a little). Is this due to the depth of the unit? I am wondering is there some modification I can make to my E30 to allow the unit to fit flush. Any ideas? Thanks
Already bought the continental
How thick ist the front of the Radio. I want to fit as flat as the rest of the Dashboard. Anyone knows?
Great video. I also have E30m3.. I bought this radio. Have you come across one where the color does not change when in the color change RGB menu function? Mine is staying green no matter which I tune in any direction.
Getting one for my 94 explorer sport
I see an M3 in the background....how can I not like??!
Will it drive the cd changer that came in my 94 530i?
Hi,does it support RDS on the radio stations?
Does it fit an e46 and is it an improovement to the audio quality???
This is the way.
And what about the soundquality compared to the old one?
Would love one of these for my 1989 Z1, but with no face off, not sure I could leave this parked anywhere safely!!
I don't have a car but i like this vid xD
How do you pair it to your phone?
Great video but having that awesome E30 in the background, I have to admit wasn't listening to you because I was admiring that fine automobile!
Stupid question but does the USB charge or is it connection only? Such a stunning look and fits in with the old skool motor perfectly.
Hi, USB socket also charges devices.
That's a very good question not stupid at all. The worst kind is the ones that only do USB 2.0 4.5 watt power. It still charges low power devices, just very slowly.
@@Neojhun I had this same issue with a Sony head unit I stuck in to my old 996. Safe to say I wouldn’t do that today I would be look PCCM which looks great
Modern function? CarPlay and gps?
Great video, am i right in saying that you can use this head unit with your Spotify account?
Yes, absolutely, via bluetoth streaming
Nice! Finally without sh**y childish design perversions :D
Need this for my E24 635csi
Great vid should have mentioned the price wowzer
Please song name in 4:08
Do it have rca?
im sold
Was looking for something that would look “period correct” on my Mercedes W126, sure, there’s the cheaper Continental radio, but I feel it looks somewhat cheap. These are expensive for what they are though, but it really looks the part…
Nice review, thanks CAS TV
Can this be a direct replacement for my BMW Business RDS in my 1995 HD61 E34 with hifi amplifier? ✌️
I would be really interested in an answer, too.
Is it possible to connect the volume buttons on the steering wheel to this?
yes you can connect the steering controls using the appropriate stalk harness
How much power? Does it allow for any other EQ adjustments besides basic Bass / Treble?
4x50watt max about 4x15rms, separate sub output.
@@krusher74 Thank you.
A cassette deck would have been sweet in this head unit
Is there a variation of this without bluetooth? Or is there a way to permanently disable bluetooth functionality?
sorry this does not come in a non Bluetooth version
Giggity!
Why no mini disk player
Man do I needa Euro vehicle for this lol. I got my JZA70 mk3 Supra from Japan that size looks right (err maybe too large got to double-look) and would seamlessly blend right in and totally modernize don't wanna spin no data discs no more (WOW when you zoom out see the whole center stack it does look small enough)
you can get a double to single conversion plate
@krusher74 Fast forward to some weeks ago I got this exact one! It was justa single DIN all around I believe, I don't know what is that mic is that jus the bluetooth signal? Especially in SD+USB/MP3 mode man how do I shuffle how do I random play lol!! Guess haven't played in menu enough only to make light blue (durn I thought was pulse colors but minor whine)@@krusher74
will his work in a Honda?
How is the radio reception? I've heard it may not be strong.
would also depend what antenna you have.
Why do these cost as much as they do?
but what is it like for navigating files on a USB stick?
i think you have forward and back!
I've bought this for my Volvo 240 and I think it will look really good. I haven't installed it yet, so I don't know what it sounds like but I'm so far really disappointed with the feel and the quality of the stereo unit. It has got a very plastic feel to it and the buttons doesn't feel nice to push. They also feel plastic and low quality. Though the worst is the volume button. It is very wobbly and has not got that solid feeling which I would like. I'm sure this stereo sounds great, but regarding the really expensive price this is a huge disappointment. At first I thought that there was something wrong with my unit, considering the wobbly volume button, but I got the unit replaced and the new one is exactly the same.
I’ve just bought one for my 240.
@@Landie_Man how are u finding the quality does it play cassettes
@@paulhunter123 no CDs or cassettes sadly. But it’s fantastic all round
@@Landie_Man omg all that money and it dont even play a casette tape
@@paulhunter123 yes but it does lots of other things
Price ?
Does it come with a trim / facia trim?
the trim is already moulded to the stereo front
Will this radio support XM satellite radio as well?
no, just dab1 and 2
If it had a real tape player and cost a lot less I might have considered buying it. However, as long as it is so expensive and lacks a real tape player, I have to stick to old stereos, which is not ideal because they are prone to break down. I can't understand why nobody has though of producing a real old-school stereo with a real tape player.
There's a larger consumer base for digital audio.
I would love a CD player, too. Obviously not possible.
I'll take thos over most aftermarket headunits.
Continental makes a really nice retro headunit as well. Looks great in 996 Porsches
Porsche even reproduced a stock looking NAV unit for the 996 Porsche. Expensive, but a very neat idea.
when you build one and sales are tiny you will find out why.
will this work on a 1990s Japanese car
this is a standard single din fitting with an ISO connection on the back, you may need additional accessories for this to fit your vehicle
cool stuff but that price tag is crazyyyy
will this fit into 190e?
yes it would as it is a standard single din stereo fitment as all normal stereos
Will this fit in a mk2 golf ?
Yes, this will fit a MK2 Golf. ISO Plug is included which will connect to the MK2 wiring (if still original)
@@CarAudioSecurityUK Awesome, ty so much
Hi. Will this work fit in a W116? Thanks :)
this should fit however please remove original stereo first as you may need to modify to allow the new stereo to fit. please also check depth
@@CarAudioSecurityUK oh ok. Thanks!!
Она же Opel SC 305
No cd?
Shallow design unit without a CD Mechanism
Do it have rca ports?
it has 3 RCA outputs (front , rear and mono Sub out)
No cd player.... Guess I better just give up on my disk becoming obsolete
Iam from India 🇮🇳 how to buy this
follow the link to our online shop www.caraudiosecurity.com
I wanted this, but it cost a an arm and a leg, so that’s why I went to the continental
Cool but that price is insane
How do you make this and NOT show how to pair!!
are you able to remove the Logo? looks like you can.
the blaupunkt logo? why would you want to remove it?
@@krusher74 to keep an interior looking as stock as possible.
Would it fit into a Bentley brooklands? Anyone knows?
Perhaps you could Ask Jeeves.
no one knows, no one cares
I herd these dont fit 80s JDM cars. Is this true?
it will fit any single din slot
Why does it cost a fortune though?
400£? Are you crazy? Thats almost half the price of an body kit
Would this fit in a Fiat Doblo I (2000-2010)?
this a a 1986 style model, you could put many cheaper options in a 2000/2010 car.
i think the 80s was too long ago for this young man to mention, does this unit play cassette tapes?
This one does not play cassette tapes. Only USB, SD-Cards, AUX. It is the retro style; there are some older models on ebay of it that play cassettes.
I think you are too old/stupid to watch the video and him show you what is under the tape slot.
Reminds me old Proton cars.
