Very Nice! I find Silver Dollar City's little railroad to be quite a fascinating one! I've been wanting to go for awhile, and I really hope I get the chance someday, because those little engines really are showstoppers!
You should go back because engine 76 isn’t the only engine there they have about five engine including 76 but one of the engine is out of Service because of a overhaul that is engine 13
I very much intend to return and see the rest of the fleet, but it is a more than 10 hour drive from my home and there aren't any convenient flights, so it will be some time.
I honeslty wouldnt doubt if its actually two-and-a-half heartbeats, that looks super exhilarating. Im not a fan of roller coasters, they scare me. I'll admit, im a wimp lol
I find it ironic that you were 12 years prior with that same locomotive running. Amazing how much things have changed. Excellent video and I like the shots showing other things going on besides just the train. By the way, the Reading 6 chime on 76 is mine.
Thanks Dominique, its good to hear from you again. That's a nice whistle you've got. I was hoping for the 504 or the 14 (it seems I just barely missed both haha) but seeing 76 again was great too. I can't believe it took me 12 years to get back to SDC but I've managed to miss the cave tour both times so between that, the FSDL, and Time Traveler I guess I have a few excuses to visit again soon.
@@SmokyMtnSteam glad you enjoyed it. I was an engineer there between 2015 and 2018 before I found the job I am at now. Great times with great people down there. You should do a comparison video of your footage of 76 in 2009 and now if you still have the footage. :)
@@Highballing_Berk_Productions Sadly I lost all the footage from my first trip (and pretty much everything else from my first channel) when my hard drive crashed in 2011. Its really cool that you got to work there for a few years, I bet that was a fun job.
I wouldn't mind the train ride if it weren't for all the goofy actors helping to leave even more folks with the impression that hill folk are backwards. That gets on my nerves real quick.
Like the whistle! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
It’s an MD Whistles Reading 6 Chime owned by former engineer Dom Hogue.
I like the music at the beginning!

Definitely worth a visit, I'm already looking forward to visiting again next year, hopefully to see 504.
@@SmokyMtnSteam I bet it is! Looking forward to a visit sometime (Hopefully) in the future!
Great job Smoky Mountain Steam! Your videos never disappoint me and are filled with great steam action. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!
Frisco sliver dollar #76 is a beautiful engine!
Great video! What an interesting little railroad!
Thanks, it sure is!
76 is quite the workhorse.

@@SmokyMtnSteam Oh well it was nice seeing you go after seeing your video it was nice seeing you go Dollywood’s sister park
Toot, toot, chugga-chugga, snuffy steam train,
We'll go to the Rockies and back again.
Thought you might like a sing-song.
That roller coaster at the beginning would leave all of my internal organs behind
Powder Keg is an intense launch for sure, as the conductor says "zero to breathless in two-and-a-half heartbeats flat!"
10/10 great coaster

Awesome video as always. And Love The Music In The Beginning.
Thanks! Music is Arkansas Traveller by Nat Keefe and Hot Buttered Rum

@@ozarkmountainrails544 I believe it was handed down from someone. MD Whistles replica
Reading 6 chime?
Yes. MD whistles replica
Does MD Whistles still exist?
@@BenBensonStudios Not exactly. MD Whistles became Rizzoli Locomotive Works.
Nice video!
Thanks!
I saw that engine in one of the RUclips videos.
What do the engines run on? I don't see any coal or wood in any of them, so my best guess would be oil or propane
They burn diesel
@@SmokyMtnSteam Steam powered by diesel? Well that's unusual
@@shanewalters2565 Not too uncommon on park lines, Disney's engines also burn diesel.
@@shanewalters2565 still a steam engine. The diesel is atomized and turned into a fiery mist that the engine burns off of.
What kind of video camera did you use for this?
This was filmed on a Sony ZV-1
The requirement to wear masks must have resulted in a surge of train robberies.

Eh its all in good fun, they've have been doing pretty much the same show for over 50 years now so obviously there haven't been too many complaints.
