I still cry when I think about Chester's suicide..him and Chris were two huge losses in the industry. Chester was one of a kind..my heart goes out to his family. I am 64 years old and I listen to Linkin Park EVERYDAY..and I will till I leave this world for the next adventure. RIP Chester❤💙❤💙
I really gravitated to your post. I'm just about to turn 60. I'm a 2 time combat veteran who served proudly. Linkin park was with me the entire time I was on deployment and fighting for my life. I will forever be a ranger and hold that dear to my heart. Chester you will never know how much I leaned on your calming voice though as powerful as it got you helped me come home! Fuck I just wished I could have taken your place in July 2017. You impacted so many and obviously still do. God bless

I am too, I made a drawing and it was Chester's fist with his flames tattoo with everyone around him with their lighters and phone lights and with the Linkin Park symbol around it all every time I look at it, it makes me want to cry. I plan on redrawing it for his 3year passing

I will be 70 years old, this June and am and have been an unashamed fan of Linkin Park and especially Chester Bennington, since my son introduced me to Hybrid Theory in late 2000. So sad to have lost this wonderful but tortured soul.

There are so many of us that Chester pulled thru some really dark days, weeks, months, years... If only he would have known what an inspiration he was for us. I can't bring myself to let him go. I still cry thinking about it. If he could have spent a day with some of us and heard our stories, maybe he'd have found the strength to stay. I'm hurting and I know I'm not alone in this. Oh. My. GOD. I am never speechless usually but just NO words for this absolutely BEAUTIFUL montage. Like Mike says, sometimes you say goodbye " over and over again, and over again...". Thankyou so much for the time and effort u have put into honouring this beautiful soul who shone so brightly among us he couldn't bear it.... THIS passing, has affected me so much more than Chester could ever know but I understand why he had to go...I have been there myself. I can't remember who wrote the song VINCENT...but the line in it that strikes me when so many others of Chester's calibre leave us...." This world was never meant for one as beautiful as YOU". May he find peace now in a better place, and may LP find their way through this tragedy and become the stronger for it. The scrutiny they have been placed under is just heartbreaking.

I agree I miss him every single day. Nine months today I just want this all to be a dream and them make a video or something and he be standing front and center with a huge smile on his face something I miss most about him. Wish we could go back in time and stop him and Chris Cornell from doing what they did. I know that Cornell's was a huge impact on him and what actually made him do it and also all the stuff he was going through. Mostly Cornell though because he died the exact same way Cornell died and on what would have been Cornell's fifty-third birthday.

I understand the what and how of it all, I just can't believe God would have things happen the way they did during his childhood to begin with not to mention everything else on top I it later in his life. I can't believe God wouldn't want such a beautiful, hard working, loving, compassionate, giving, spirit of gold, who literally was changing the world to stay on this earth even longer. It always seems to be the people with beautiful spirits that truly make the world a better place are always taken far too soon. And yes I say taken bc that's what depression and addiction does it takes that person's soul before that person even had a chance to realize what is really happening inside them. That wasn't Chester that day, Chester himself would never do anything like that. Mental illness and the disease of addiction had taken over he lost himself inside and his disease didn't allow him a chance to come back from it. I love you so much Chester God how I miss you. Unfortunately the only reason I was able to say what I said is bc I have been there myself. Addiction is no joke and it's far far from a choice, the same goes for mental illness. We have no control over either disease we can only manage them. But what happens when literally none of that helps a person then what do they do? This scares me bc that's the point I'm at. Therapy and meds don't do shot for me anymore, treatment doesn't either and I am open-minded and willing to go to any length. I'm not willing to feel like i am part of a cult thats been brain washed to say the same shit over and over again. There is jp reaso. I should be able to speak along with ppl I don't even know word for word as they are saying it so I stopped doing that too. That leaves me no options that I'm aware of. Idk I'm getting through though. Ty for sharing that with me it means a lot to me and touches my soul that I was able to help you.
