This song always reminds me of my older sister. She's always been one of those mysterious types who never really tell you what they're thinking, but are unstoppable when they have a plan or an idea. Specifically the part about circumventing mountains feels so applicable.

i remember i listened to this song all the time. it was one of many songs i daydreamed to and loved to blast in my headphones to escape the trauma in my living environment, im doing much better now, but this just reminds me
listening to this the last day of 2019- this could easily have been the Alice Isn't Dead theme song and i'm still a little sad it wasn't. this song has meant a lot to me since i discovered it in night vale's weather, and i hope more people hear of you guys. happy 2020 :)
this song continues to be incredibly meaningful to me in 2021. there's a new, specific moment of my memory associated with it now- the last time i went out on the town for fun. mid-January 2020, crisp fresh air, unseasonably warm for the time of year, windows down, listening for the third time as my best friend learns the lyrics and we sing, together, on our way home. i had just quit my miserable old job and been hired for the job that saved me in 2020. now, that memory of elation, catharsis, hope, and connection is crystallized, preserved so clearly it's almost tangible. i think about it every time i hear this song. i am gonna make it through. i'll sing with my friends on a sunset highway again.
