    For all the people that seem to dislike this video, let me shed some light on my thought process.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but the average person is not in an immediate position to start their own dealership and open a car lot...Bond, GL insurance, Dealer insurance, monthly rent, markering, not to mention the actual inventory of cars...For those that are in a position to fund all of that, i give a general overview of the process so that you can then take that information and conduct your own research to see exactly what's required based on where you live. I apologize if you thought you were going to watch this video and a dealer's license was going to show up on your doorstep lol.
    The average person wants to know the easiest way to legally attend dealer auctions, and buy and sell cars without restrictions from the state. So i provide a viable and very common solution to that scenario. Not to mention, its a solution that will allow people to get their feet wet and learn the ropes before jumping all the way into a huge investment.
    God bless and continue watching the video whether you like it or not 😀

    Hi Ceonthemaking,
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I hope that you and your family are doing good during these times. I hope that you can help me clear my confusion up on this process (please). Is there a contract between the person that's licensed to go into the auction and bid and the person that intends to buy from them? How much is their fee to usually do this?

    • @CEONTHEMAKING
      @CEONTHEMAKING  3 года назад +1

      There's not always a contract. It could be a simple verbal agreement. I suggest a contract just so it's clear what both parties are expectin beforehand.
      The fee is completely up to the dealer. I've heard of one-time up front fees of $2,000+, and no other fees after that. I've heard of $100 fee per car purchased etc. I would try to setup a per car purchase fee so that you're only paying if you actually buy something.

    •  3 года назад

      @@CEONTHEMAKING Thank you for your reply. Someone told me that they could get me a car at the auction for $500 along with the fees of the car and it's fees- I'm so lost! How do I make sure that I don't get taken advantage of?

    Hey I love you videos bruh you’re one of the guys if not the only one I look to for good flipping advice.. I’m a full time worker and part time flipper myself and i don’t have any interest in opening my own car lot at all. I do admit the more I flip cars the more nervous I get with the DMV flagging me (Arizona allows up to 6 before needing a license)...I’m almost at the point where I have to start putting the titles in my wife or a family members name.
    If I’m fortunate enough to find a dealer who will let me use their license and I make some kind of a deal to pay them a percentage off every flip what is a good percentage in your opinion?

    • @CEONTHEMAKING
      @CEONTHEMAKING  5 лет назад +1

      I really appreciate the feedback bro! Glad you enjoy the videos. To answer your question, I would try to workout a monthly fee instead of a percentage of each car sale. I think doing a percentage of each car sale would make things tricky, especially if you happen to lose money on a car etc. I would shoot for $250 a month and see what type of response you get.

    • @Juicewestcoast
      @Juicewestcoast 5 лет назад

      CEONTHEMAKING for real bruh all these other so called flippers be on some bullshit I know they full of it majority of the time. You could get a wholesale dealers license without needing a lot or office and then you can legally buy cars and still funnel them through your retail dealer contact legally and not have to stress about putting them under your wifes or family members name. A wholesale license is very inexpensive to get and you can "operate" out your garage.

    Hey ceo and any other people who are knowledgeable in car dealerships, I have a question about becoming a salesperson for a dealership. I know someone who owns and operates a dealership buying and selling cars. (located in California) I contacted him and spoke to him about taking me on as a partner so I can start to buy and sell cars on my own but through his dealership due to the fact I'm looking for a side hustle and I'm not ready to start up my own dealership. My question is, what would it cost YOU (a dealership) to take on another partner/salesperson? He is saying that he needs to add me to all of his insurance policies and that it'll be $1,000 on my end just to join the dealership. I would like to know your 2 cents on the matter. Thanks.

    • @CEONTHEMAKING
      @CEONTHEMAKING  5 лет назад +2

      That's pretty cool that you know someone willing to entertain the idea. I'll answer this question to the best of my knowledge.
      He's correct that he'll have to add you to the insurance etc, but it shouldn't cost him $1,000. Depending on your age, driving record, etc. there's a chance adding you to the policy would affect his premium..but that's a different story. There may be some paperwork/filing fees to get you going under his dealership, but they shouldn't cost him $1,000.
      My guess is that he decided a $1,000 is what he is willing to accept in order for it be worth his time and effort. He probably just tells people thats what it costs to set everything up.
      The real question would be if he plans to charge you anything per car you buy/sell..or any monthly type of fees for remaining under his dealership etc. IF NOT, $1,000 honestly isn't bad if you can afford it. I've heard of dealers charging more than twice that to setup people under their dealership.
      Im not sure how things work in CA, but I would also confirm with him that adding you as a salesperson will allow you access to dealer auctions for you to purchase your own cars.
      Hope this helps.

      @@CEONTHEMAKING Thanks for the response! He defiantly wants to get me signed in with the auctions and get me to the point where I am doing it all on my own. I will talk to him about the per car fee and see if he is going to charge me the $1,000 upfront as well as X amount per car. What would you consider to be a fair amount per car I purchased? I mentioned the idea to him and we talked about paying $200 per car. Does that seem like a fair price since I'm going to be doing everything on my own and investing my own capital? I understand he already is established and has been in the game for a while and I'm grateful he is willing to work with me, but I wouldn't mind a second opinion on my situation. Thanks again.

    • @CEONTHEMAKING
      @CEONTHEMAKING  5 лет назад

      @@ModysLobbys $200 per car seems a little steep Mainly because you have to pay auction fees on every car you buy which are usually $300 - $500 depending on the purchase price of the car. Maybe shoot for $125/$150 per car.
      So say you won a car at auction for $1500. The auction fee might be $275 and then you'd have to pay him $200. So you'd be in the car $1975. Those fees can add up when you start buying multiple cars.
      I'd just talk to him and see if he's willing to work with you any on the per car fee since you're new and trying to learn the game.

      @adolfo You could get a wholesale dealers license without needing a lot or office and then you can legally buy cars and still funnel them through a retail dealer contact legally and workout a consignment deal with the retail dealer to have them sell your cars to the public you can either workout a commission based deal or flat fee deal. A wholesale license is very inexpensive to get and you can "operate" out your garage.

    • @CEONTHEMAKING

      whats up man..dealers don't have to actually register the car when they buy. You just fill out one of the buyer slots on the back of the title like any other sale, and that transfers ownership. You dont have to go to the DMV and file for a new title.

      I would try to get whatever agreement yall workout in writing, just to keep things on the up and up. His price isn't far off from what many other dealers would charge, I've just never heard of many dealers offering to give it back once you're done buying cars. He could be telling the truth! who knows, but your best bet is to see if he'll put it in writing for you with name of dealership and his signature included. Also whatever he expects from you as a member of his dealership so both of you are clear on expectations.

      A deposit is security to secure the deal to protect dealer from any cancellation fees. I could understand if deposit is needed to bid on vehicles at auction. But I see it’s only necessary for a deposit to be under someone dealership as a rep if you’re able to bid on vehicles under the dealership. Because most auctions charge between $400 to $1,000 relisting fee if you win a vehicle but choose not to pay for it.
