I’m not gonna lie I HATE washdays lol. Right before it’s time to wash my hair I feel like my hair settles into a look that I love them I have to erase it with a wash day.
Either way! In this video I’m sharing a detailed view of how I braid and band, shampoo, and style my sisterlocks.

I got my locs installed 10/10/21 and I dilute the starter shampoo, may help with buildup and you get more for your coin. Love your content it helps to watch someone who started around the same time as you
I asked my loctitian if I should dilute but she said no. I maybe she already dilutes it because it’s pretty watery..not creamy like the shampoos I was used to using before 🤔

Also, I watched your video on the emotional roller coaster of wearing wigs, weaves, & extensions. All I can say is, thank you for being brave. bold and transparent. You spoke truth on a tabu topic that so many of our Sisterlocks sisters are afraid to express. Last but not least, your eye lashes look so natural! Please share what type of glue you use.
Aw thank you! I really appreciate the kind words and encouragement. When I posted that video I was nervous that I was the only one that felt that way but was relieved (and sad) that as black women we can relate to each other in the topic.
The lash glue I use is called calailis individual lash glue and I got it from Amazon..it’s EVERYTHING. I might do a video showing how I use it

I’ve been locked for 3 weeks doing my first wash this week. I’ll definitely try your method. Thanks this video is right on time only my consultant suggested that I don’t get in the shower but wash at the kitchen sink to avoid over saturating my baby locs.
Yes slippage is real I just love steam from the shower in general lol

**how long does 1 bottle of the SL shampoo usually last for you? Or shall I say, how many washes are you able to get out of your bottle?
Thanks! Apollo skillz page had all the afrobeats I love and the bottle ..it’s been over a month I got it Dec 10th…I do at least two or three rounds and I still have one fourth of the bottle left. But I’m also heavy handed because my hair is so thick and just eats up the shampoo.
I think I have at least 3 wash days left 4 at most

Question. Were u supposed to fold over the braid at the tip before you banded? Just asking! I don't mind the braiding but the rubber bands GET ON MY NERVES lol.

Thank youuu!!! And yes you’re supposed to tuck your ends when you braid and band but I never to and they are okay so far. And yeah the rubber bands are the worst smh

I think you should add your curl pattern , porosity ,date of install , how many inches of hair you started with and whether you cut your hair down or not for the install to the description box or whatever it’s called. I myself would like to know these things and I think it would help cut down on questions.
Also , I am assuming you just air dry your hair every time? How long does that take for you ?
My install date is in April and I am thinking I’d like to air dry but my low porosity hair doesn’t like it so I may sit under a hooded dryer or use a blow dryer. My hair can take days to dry🤦🏾♀️

And yes I let mine air dry. My hair dries pretty quick. After I wrap my hair in the tshirt when I take it off it’s 80% dry then within an hour it’s fully dry. ♥️♥️♥️
