I live 5 minutes from a trader Joe's and that shampoo is $4. I have traditional locks and I use that shampoo every third wash.. I wash my locks every 8 to 10 days so I use it at least once a month.. It will pull every ounce of oil from your hair so you have to go easy on it.. I don't know sisterlocks and what you guys routine is but they're great for traditional locs. I'm two and a half years in my locks but I've been using that shampoo for about 5 years if not longer.

I went loose natural in 2019 with a big chop after wearing wear for over ten years. I have not straightened my hair or defined my curls since I have been natural and I did not realize that I benefited from "social pretty prilage" until people started to treat me diffrently. I don't miss the hair styles but I so sometimes miss being seen as pretty by rhe world, but not enought to go back lol. I am free from it all and I value my freedom. I am planning on getting sister locks at the end of the year ❤ This is a very important topic. My natural hair has brought a lot of stuff to the surface that has been hidden in me about the way I look and I have had to confront it

I'm getting ready to get locs and I always said I would wait until I'm older to get them. The mindset is not negative though. I was still wanting to wear my loose hair for longer and because locs are pretty permanent I chose to wait. I actually always said 50 myself but I'm not close to that age but I'm ready now. I never looked at it as a give up style, just a more permanent thing that I wanted to try later. I've played in my hair long enough, trying all kinds of textures and styles and lengths. I'm now ready for locs but definitely not as a 'give up' option!

I just had to tell myself, it’s no power in wearing someone else’s hair. I’m natural and have been for about 14 years and I’ve worn box braids for years and I’ve wanted locs for years but let fear and doubt and other people’s opinions stop me…..At this point in my life, I don’t care what they think lol…..I definitely agree that I will miss my braids though but I don’t miss what it represented for me….and that was covering up and wearing a mask of who I truly was……Love your hair and your content. 💜

This is sad😢. I feel empowered with my God given natural hair “Microlocs” I feel more beautiful than ever in 44 years. You may need counseling because societal standards of beauty have brainwashed you. You’re gorgeous with those natural tresses. I don’t follow trends & hate looking like everyone on social media
