Not sure whether the standup bass is actually being played in this, but Ive seen bands who use one - there was one where a guy used to lean it over and balance on it, which was kinda cool. They were a rockabilly band I think, 50s vibe.

When I did my undergrad degree in English I did my dissertation on William Wordsworth, who was also first generation. Blake was crazy, but brilliant.
