I think the thing with Voldemort flying isn't so much as a travel option (like you said its so inefficient), it's more of a demonstration of power. Like, you never hear someone go, "wow, they can apparate," but you always hear, "did you know Voldemort could fly?" especially because it is the first time in wizarding history someone flew unaided. In that case I guess the answer would technically be whatever blood type Wormtail and Harry have, which would have to be compatible with each other or else Voldemort would have some medical issues.
The flying I felt was more a demonstration of power and a fear tactic. And also, apparation wouldn't be that effective in chasing someone. Also also, perhaps Voldy didn't like the sensation of being squeezed through a tube that came with apparation
So I think the reason for that is because Derek takes the test first to get the correct answers, and screenshots the screens as he takes it, and then he reopens the quiz to read them the questions, and the answers get jumbled each time.
22:25 if im not wrong i have a dark memory of when i read the 4th book that Harry actually met a Vampire at the Yule Ball, it could also have been Slughorns Christmas party. But I'm 70% sure that Harry met a Vampire at some point Edit: I've looked it up, the Vampire Sanguini was a campanion of Eldred Worple at Slughorns Christmas Party, a former student of Slughorn who currently writes a book of Vampires. Sanguini wasnt allowed to drink the blood of the other guests so he was very bored of that party
When I saw “his final words” in the thumbnail I was like... that’s so easy, but then when the quiz dropped the “final words BEFORE avada kedavra” I was stumped
Got this one wrong. I couldn't remember if it was the one about Draco or the one about Duelling on Skills alone, I picked the latter, the answer is the former.
3:55 no, Harry becomes Albert Runcorn. Rookwood is mentioned a lot in Harry weird Voldy-visions. I think he Voldemort some wrong information at some point in order of phoenix
Rookwood passed information to Voldemort from inside the ministry. You are right, Harry became Albert Runcorn, a good deal taller and muscular than the actor who portrayed him. (A good portrayal nonetheless)
Also Rookwood is the one Percy chases (during the battle of Hogwarts) after Fred was killed, so I always felt like he's somehowa responsible for Freds death... [just after they hid Freds body] "Rounding the corner, Percy let our a bull-like roar, 'ROOKWOOD!' and sprinted off in the direction of a tall man, who was pursuing a couple of students."
-There was Rookwood. He was a spy. -Augustus Rookwood ? Of the Department of Mysteries ? -Ya ya, the same. He passed infomation to You-Know-Who from inside the ministry itself -Very well. Council will deliberate (part from Karkaroff's trial in Goblet of fire film)

i am thinking of a Fanfiction of Harry Potter and Mickey Mouse fight the death eaters and the Disney bad guys in Fantasmic and get help from both Minnie Mouse ,Hermione G and save the day.
Narcissa isn't a death eater because she never received that dark mark, the reason for this is due to the meaning of the Dark-mark. To wear it means you pledge your life to being a death-eater and will let nothing come before your duties to Lord Voldemort. Narcissa cared to much for her family and Lucius to put anything else before them so she didn't become a deatheater because of this. But as Lucius was Voldemorts right hand man she still was about to join meeting and more based on her position and probably her pure-blood background.
Getting someone, alive or dead, to do your dirty work is an act of recruitment. You can ask them, they will come, and also have the option of not asking them, then they won't come. It's very tricky.
Monica Elizabeth Pelled Voldemort was 71 and hagris was a 3rd year when tom Riddle was a 5th year and got him expelled so he’s 2 years younger than Voldemort, 62 in stone and 69 at Voldemort’s death
During the question with his new flying skill when Ben said he could imagine Voldemort riding a Thestral for some reason I misunderstood it for riding a vegetable. Needless to say interesting pictures came to my mind.
The thing about Voldemorts age is that even though he is technically 71, he didn't really have a body for like almost 14 years. So while he was technically born 71 years before he died, his body was not that old.
Narcissa couldn't lie to Voldemort if she took the mark and was a Death Eater, I think that's the implication. The Dark Mark contains legillimency, that's how the Death Eaters are summoned.
@@ginnyjollykidd Snape was talented and probably strong enough to counteract the mark, he also was able to manipulate with his talents into making Voldemort think that when he was thinking genuinely good things that he was playing a part, Narcissa didnt need to be as talented, she didn't have the mark and it was Voldemorts mistake to not probe the brain of someone who didn't have it.
Beatrice Chadwick I think it was a hectic moment. He just want it to be over do much that he doesn’t care who’ll do the checking anymore. Plus he would never think a small Pawn would betray him since her sister is his most loyal supporter and her husband+son life is in his hand.
@Beatrice Chadwick No one else wanted to do it, so Narcissa saw her chance to find out about Draco's whereabouts by asking Harry. In any case, J.K. Rowling herself has said that Narcissa wasn't a death eater, but merely supported the thought of blood purity superiority. She also hated having Voldemort in her manor.
Anyone can lie to Voldemort. All they say is something he doesn't want to hear and he calls them a liar. Narcissa told him exactly what he wanted to hear. the dark mark is a binding tattoo, it serves to call people to Voldemort, nothing more, nothing less.
I think the flight thing is he is flexing his magical prowess on them. He's the only, or one of the other ones to show independent flight, whereas other wizards need tools for it.
24:53 I literally had to grab my harry potter book for this and apparently, he actually calls Voldemort "this lord thing" so technically the answer is none of the above.
The question about Voldemort's boggart makes me wonder about whether he would have been unable to repel it. He seems like the kind of person who would not have been able to think of anything humorous for the boggart to transform into.
You said that you could see Voldemort riding a thestral but that would not work for me because Voldemort feared death. He also, in my opinion, would not be able to see them because, although he witnessed death many times, he was never able to comprehend death, which actually lead to his downfall
I dont know if you have to understand death, and who says voldermart doesn't, just because he is very afraid of it doesn't mean he cant comprehend death. If there id anyone who can't comprehend death its probably the only immortal dude Nick flamel. Btw why didnt voldemort try harder to get to him after book 1
Good point about the fact that it never says you have to comprehend death, but I think the fact harry couldn’t see thestrals despite having his parents murdered in front of him, this means that he witnessed death and didn’t see thestrals. He couldn’t possibly have comprehended death as a baby so that is why I believe you have to comprehend it
RB07RUBEN a better word would be to grieve. I think you're right, in order to see them you need to grieve the death you witnessed and Harry never knew of his parents until long after their death hence why he couldn't see them. Voldemort couldn't possibly ever grieve the death of anything because he cared for nobody but himself. That's why he has no problem killing, but is terrified of dying. Really cool theory! I think thestrals being the embodiment of death would be intimidating enough for him to not mess with him, but he's fine using them for his power like the elder wand because he doesn't care about death unless it applies to him.
i like that the wizards that are supposed to be the most powerful feel the need to yell their spells. like all the death eaters just say avada kedavra and voldemort is like AAAAVADA KEDAVRAAAAAA
Kyle Pask it’s no doubt a useful skill. Super useful, but not how he ACTUALLY used it. For example, rapidly moving through an area one doesn’t have prior knowledge of, or otherwise unable to visualize clearly.
actually, the wand they measure is accurate to the films, but not to the book. The prop team didn't research the length and just made something that would be aesthetically pleasing on camera
For the Narcissa Malfoy thing - it's never explicitly said, but she doesn't show up in the graveyard when Voldemort gets his new body, and she's not at the ministry when they're trying to get the prophecy from Harry - both are Death Eaters only affairs.
In question 9 about the Taboo on Voldermort's name I think it was unfair to give Jon the point because on of the multiple choice answers was "Breaks protective spells" which is incorrect. So if we had the answers he should have chosen between the two and maybe he would have chosen the wrong one. I would give him half a point.
I miss this Narrator ...has he gotten a book deal to read the entire series yet? This guy has a voice for novels~ Could listen to his narration all day long!
There’s a theory that vampires in the Harry Potter World are wizards who’ve tried to gain immortality. I mean, Voldemort’s physical appearance is just... spot on.
With the Orphanage stolen items thing, in regard to the Silver Thimble I figured maybe it was one of the only items an orphan had left from their parents. Which makes it even worse then just stealing items in general:(
Random Harry Potter thought of the day: Does the accio spell account for barriers in the way of you receiving the object summoned? If I summoned the lunch box I left at school today would it crash through walls and glass to take the most direct path to me? Would doors magically open for it? What if I'm in a room with no windows or doors? Would the object still make it in or be stopped by the wall?
from stuff in the books, I would say the accio spell at least can take barriers into consideration (I find it hard to believe Filch wouldn't throw a tantrum over Harry's broom destroying a bunch of stuff on it's way to the dragonpen in Goblet of Fire), but it is also shown to have Fred and George's brooms smash through Umbridge's door in Order of the Phoenix. so one of two things is the possible explanation: 1: the spell automatically takes barriers into account if at all possible, but will break through them if no other option is available, though I think there would be a limit to how much it can punch through. 2: The wizard/witch chooses how the spell reacts. option 2 could of course depend on how good the wizard/witch is at the spell as Kupferhans suggest in his/her post.
Harry summoned his firebolt in GoF. So yes. And Fred/George's brooms went through the door, not the wall. So yes, the spell accounts for walls and stuff.
@ question 4 Harry never becomes Augustus Rookwood. Rookwood was a deatheater working in the department of mysteries who was ratted out by Karkarov. Later when the Azkaban deatheaters get broken out, he is able to tell Voldemort that only the people who a profecy is about can get it out of the department. Harry becomes Albert Runcorn when they break into the Ministry in book 7
I imagine that there would be a HUGE thrill from flying without anything carrying you. Riddle seems to like such thrills. But when he is flying around discovering that the horcruxes were gone, I would think that apparating would have been his first choice just because it would be faster.
How well did you do on the quiz? Did you beat us??

The flying I felt was more a demonstration of power and a fear tactic. And also, apparation wouldn't be that effective in chasing someone. Also also, perhaps Voldy didn't like the sensation of being squeezed through a tube that came with apparation
Hi
Did it bother anyone else how he read them out of order??
Audrey Whitaker
Me, like who does he think he is? lol
So I think the reason for that is because Derek takes the test first to get the correct answers, and screenshots the screens as he takes it, and then he reopens the quiz to read them the questions, and the answers get jumbled each time.
Yes. Cause when they answered I was like wait that's not what is showed, oh wait he read them out of order.
Cory omg thank you for that explanation cause it always drove me crazy now it makes sence. :)
Pretty sure answers get jumbled each time you open up the quiz
22:25 if im not wrong i have a dark memory of when i read the 4th book that Harry actually met a Vampire at the Yule Ball, it could also have been Slughorns Christmas party. But I'm 70% sure that Harry met a Vampire at some point
Edit: I've looked it up, the Vampire Sanguini was a campanion of Eldred Worple at Slughorns Christmas Party, a former student of Slughorn who currently writes a book of Vampires. Sanguini wasnt allowed to drink the blood of the other guests so he was very bored of that party
rowling was really bad at naming things, huh? the werewold name wolfwolf, the vampire named bloody.
When I saw “his final words” in the thumbnail I was like... that’s so easy, but then when the quiz dropped the “final words BEFORE avada kedavra” I was stumped
I did the same thing, I wasn't sure if it was different in the book.

"You dare?", to Harry.
I think......hopefully.....
He's mentioned in the trial with Igor Karkaroff when Harry is using the Pensieve in GoF
Augustus Rookwood was an Unspeakable and was broken out of Azkaban in book 5
Also Rookwood is the one Percy chases (during the battle of Hogwarts) after Fred was killed, so I always felt like he's somehowa responsible for Freds death...
[just after they hid Freds body] "Rounding the corner, Percy let our a bull-like roar, 'ROOKWOOD!' and sprinted off in the direction of a tall man, who was pursuing a couple of students."
-There was Rookwood. He was a spy.
-Augustus Rookwood ? Of the Department of Mysteries ?
-Ya ya, the same. He passed infomation to You-Know-Who from inside the ministry itself
-Very well. Council will deliberate
(part from Karkaroff's trial in Goblet of fire film)
BTW I have a pet tortoise named Voldetort.
Love that
... for a second i thought i read that as a Mis spelling... XD but that's such a CLEVER name!
Austin Duncan best thing I’ve read all day 🤣🤣
THAT IS AWESOME
That is the best tortoise name and you are the cleverest person to come up with that
Harry says to Voldemort: Why don’t you have a nose?
Dumbledore: Gosh Harry you cant just go asking people why they don’t have a nose!
you got the age right, its bc he dies in May and his bday is in December, so he was technically 71 yet
Which is fun since Harry is 17.
Mickey Mouse was born in 1928, maybe you confused the birth of pure happiness with pure evil ;) haha...
+Bekah Clare I made a Mickey joke as well, but after you. I didn't steal it.

+DEADMANZ Ain't no passing craze. It means no worries for the rest of your days. It's our problem-free philosophy. Hakuna Matata.
i am thinking of a Fanfiction of Harry Potter and Mickey Mouse fight the death eaters and the Disney bad guys in Fantasmic and get help from both Minnie Mouse ,Hermione G and save the day.
Voldemort was actually 71 when he died because his birthday didn't come yet ( December 31 ). He just turned 71 at the time.
Hey said 71
Haha ...Thats really my birthday
His last word was his signature spell "NYAHHH"
Narcissa isn't a death eater because she never received that dark mark, the reason for this is due to the meaning of the Dark-mark. To wear it means you pledge your life to being a death-eater and will let nothing come before your duties to Lord Voldemort. Narcissa cared to much for her family and Lucius to put anything else before them so she didn't become a deatheater because of this. But as Lucius was Voldemorts right hand man she still was about to join meeting and more based on her position and probably her pure-blood background.
Plus she would have been at the graveyard for his rebirth
I love the J vs Ben quizzes! Always waiting for the next one!!
Voldemort (deathly hallows part 1): I believe I could fly
Voldemort (deathly hallows part 2): I believe could die
Voldemort in a nutshell.
Harry doesn’t transform into Augustus Rookwood when him, Hermione, and Ron infiltrate the Ministry, he transforms into Albert Runcorn
Does killing a bunch of ppl and reanimating their corpses really count as recruiting? I wouldn’t say so, and that cost me a point
I agree, wouldn't count. enchanted corpses are not recruits.
Cost me a point as well.
SAME!!!
maybe its. consensually killing and recruiting?
Getting someone, alive or dead, to do your dirty work is an act of recruitment. You can ask them, they will come, and also have the option of not asking them, then they won't come. It's very tricky.
It’s weird how Hadgrid must be in his 60’s since him and Voldemort were at school were together
I counted how old he was on his birthday last year, and it was at least a hundred I think
Monica Elizabeth Pelled Voldemort was 71 and hagris was a 3rd year when tom Riddle was a 5th year and got him expelled so he’s 2 years younger than Voldemort, 62 in stone and 69 at Voldemort’s death
Hagrid in his 60s seems believable to me
And Dumbledore is in his 100s
I think it's mentioned that he has a linger lifespan because of his giant blood
During the question with his new flying skill when Ben said he could imagine Voldemort riding a Thestral for some reason I misunderstood it for riding a vegetable. Needless to say interesting pictures came to my mind.
HAHAHAHAHA
The thing about Voldemorts age is that even though he is technically 71, he didn't really have a body for like almost 14 years. So while he was technically born 71 years before he died, his body was not that old.
Narcissa couldn't lie to Voldemort if she took the mark and was a Death Eater, I think that's the implication. The Dark Mark contains legillimency, that's how the Death Eaters are summoned.
Then how do you explain Snape being an effective occlumens against Voldemort?
But Narcissa was never as strong as Snape.
When Voldemort summons all the Death Eaters to the graveyard, only Lucius Malfoy arrives, suggesting that Narcissa isn't a DE
And in fact, the LeStranges both had places in the circle. And another dead couple. And Narcissa would not dare in ignore a summons from Voldemort.
fun fact : every time you say Voldemort the captions think it’s Baltimore.
First comment that actually made me laugh
I think the flight thing is he is flexing his magical prowess on them. He's the only, or one of the other ones to show independent flight, whereas other wizards need tools for it.

Yes! I love J vs Ben’s!
Why, is there anyone who doesn't?
24:53 I literally had to grab my harry potter book for this and apparently, he actually calls Voldemort "this lord thing" so technically the answer is none of the above.
The question about Voldemort's boggart makes me wonder about whether he would have been unable to repel it. He seems like the kind of person who would not have been able to think of anything humorous for the boggart to transform into.
It would probably be a dead muggle or something
You said that you could see Voldemort riding a thestral but that would not work for me because Voldemort feared death. He also, in my opinion, would not be able to see them because, although he witnessed death many times, he was never able to comprehend death, which actually lead to his downfall
I see where you’re coming from there, I still don’t think he is able to understand death though
Wow that's a cool theory!
I think thestrals being the embodiment of death would be intimidating enough for him to not mess with him, but he's fine using them for his power like the elder wand because he doesn't care about death unless it applies to him.

i like that the wizards that are supposed to be the most powerful feel the need to yell their spells. like all the death eaters just say avada kedavra and voldemort is like AAAAVADA KEDAVRAAAAAA
i imagine he developed a way to fly in order to travel fast within an area like Hogwarts that has an anti-disapparition jinx cast upon it.
Kyle Pask it’s no doubt a useful skill. Super useful, but not how he ACTUALLY used it. For example, rapidly moving through an area one doesn’t have prior knowledge of, or otherwise unable to visualize clearly.
I only knew Wool’s orphanage because of a Very Potter Senior Year. Denise just played that nun so funny.
the wand is actually accurate! only part of the handle is wand (if that makes sense)
actually, the wand they measure is accurate to the films, but not to the book.
Hope Ben wins every time lowkey 😂

In question 9 about the Taboo on Voldermort's name I think it was unfair to give Jon the point because on of the multiple choice answers was "Breaks protective spells" which is incorrect. So if we had the answers he should have chosen between the two and maybe he would have chosen the wrong one. I would give him half a point.
Tell me why when he said what were the characteristics of Voldemort’s old wand my first thought was “ couldn’t attack Harry”
I miss this Narrator ...has he gotten a book deal to read the entire series yet? This guy has a voice for novels~ Could listen to his narration all day long!
There’s a theory that vampires in the Harry Potter World are wizards who’ve tried to gain immortality. I mean, Voldemort’s physical appearance is just... spot on.
UltimateKyuubiFox i dont know, when i think of vampires i think hair and nose, voldy is lacking both in the movies lmao
With the Orphanage stolen items thing, in regard to the Silver Thimble I figured maybe it was one of the only items an orphan had left from their parents. Which makes it even worse then just stealing items in general:(
What we really need now is a quiz on Moldevort
I have on captions and when they say Voldemort, it says Baltimore lol
sprintfast 95 I love that.
Best siblings on RUclips and they like Harry Potter. What could be better?
I remember Dumbledore speaking Voldy's name first because mcgonnagall said "Don't speak his name!!"

It obviously depends on how powerful you are as a magician! :D
from stuff in the books, I would say the accio spell at least can take barriers into consideration (I find it hard to believe Filch wouldn't throw a tantrum over Harry's broom destroying a bunch of stuff on it's way to the dragonpen in Goblet of Fire), but it is also shown to have Fred and George's brooms smash through Umbridge's door in Order of the Phoenix. so one of two things is the possible explanation:
1: the spell automatically takes barriers into account if at all possible, but will break through them if no other option is available, though I think there would be a limit to how much it can punch through.
2: The wizard/witch chooses how the spell reacts.
option 2 could of course depend on how good the wizard/witch is at the spell as Kupferhans suggest in his/her post.
you should be writing these quizzes lol
Harry summoned his firebolt in GoF. So yes. And Fred/George's brooms went through the door, not the wall. So yes, the spell accounts for walls and stuff.
OK, now I want a scene where Fred and George test the limits of what kind of stuff the spell can break through
SuperCarlinBrothers: “hey brother”
James Charles: “hi sisters”
No, don't compare these guys with him. It is an insult to their incredible, actually intelligent channel.

You NEED to make a video explainig the Department of Mysteries, how many rooms it has and what research goes on in there by the unspeakables.

No the @‘s are useless on yt
@ question 4
Harry never becomes Augustus Rookwood.
