Great information, thanks
Thank you
Great video. We are redoing all the trim in our home. I saw another video of this tool and thought I have got to get this. I’m tired of fudging and with what wood cost now this is going to be a game changer. Thanks for the great explanation
There is another miter protractor I have become pretty confident in using and has become my choice. Accuracy is spot on. Go to this website to check it out. www.sawset.ca/
Thanks for watching.
Good video
but i am willing to learn if you can teach me, thanks for the video i just received this tool tday and need to learn how to use it. help me to learn.
It would be nice if when you are discussing a particular angle that you zoom into the dial so we could confirm what you are saying. I can see the numbers on your gauge when you push it into a corner.
Thanks for your input.
So I bought some flooring and the matching quarter round but it’s not regular quarter round it has one flat side in back in middle of that makes sense? How do I cut them correctly I have tried basic 45 and 45 and they do not come close to matching up at all
I am not quite understanding what your quarter round is, however I think it is wider than it is tall. Mark the bottom side with a line using a pencil for reference when cutting. Make sure that line is facing down in your saw. I think that will take care of your issues.
Semper Fi
So what why do you adjust the saw?
Great video and informative but don’t look at the camera screen look at the lens
i am still not completly understanding how to read the which numbers i need to use ??
One side of the gauge shows the miter angle or half of the full angle. The other side shows the full angle. For 2 cuts like a corner on base board moulding you would set your saw to the miter angle shown. For a single cut you would use the full angle. I will gladly make a video on how to use it. However it would be a few weeks before it would get posted.
@@detroitdiy I’d like to see your video. Please post!!
They don’t sell these at the big box stores.
No they don't need to order online. Thanks for watching.
The Starrett is now about $35.
Inflation is crazy!
Is it just me or does he remind anyone of Sylvester Stallone?
Never heard that before. Thanks for watching.
Because 50 degrees plus 35 degrees make 85 degrees not 90
I bought the Saker Miter Saw Protractor which is made of aluminum and far better than this plastic Starrett Miter Saw Protractor.
Starrett also makes an aluminum version as well!!
Youre not telling how long the scale lasts on this tool
