    (2) Aleister Crowley was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. He founded the religion of Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the Æon of Horus in the early 20th century. A prolific writer, he published widely over the course of his life.
After his death, his work grew into a following that would be central to the beliefs of the Counter Culture movement of the 1960's, and would include followers the likes of Jimmy Page of the rock group Led Zeppelin, John Lennon of the Beatles, and alternative rocker David Bowie, who was best known for his shifting personae and musical genre hopping.

    THIS CHANNEL:
    _________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.

Been meaning to message for quite some time, now. I just wanted to say how much I love your channel. This is such informative, creative content, with a very commendable purpose. I've been pretty much quarantined in isolation for a year and a half because of medical conditions, trying to avoid contracting the virus, so this allows me to live vicariously (somewhat) and continue to travel, through your videos, which are a window on the world for so many people right now. Such beautiful, peaceful cemeteries with incredible funerary architecture. I'm on the west coast where most are "memorial parks" with flat markers, but the ones you visit back East are almost like an art gallery. Would love to visit the area someday to see many of those you feature in person. Thanks for sharing your adventures, and for bringing those passed on to life again through their fascinating stories, like this one.

    Ron,
The side (air flow) vents were designed to allow air to flow through the crypt, allowing the body to, naturally, dehydrate, if you will. Even today, when we place the casket in a mausoleum crypt, we place a rubber/wood wedge on the edge (head end) allowing the lid of the casket to remain, partially open. Again, allowing air to flow freely through the casket and the crypt.
Some of these relic family mausoleum units, obviously, had lower vents...not a place that you'd want to pass by over the next several months from a burial...all can imagine my suggestion...the odor wasn't pleasant.
Modern mausoleums have much higher vents. This allowing a passersby, not to smell an unkind aroma.
    Information from your funeral professional.
I'm quite impressed with your Cemetery knowledge and monument material understanding. I've designed monument/markers for years, so always pleasing to see that someone in the public, not in our profession, has a solid background.
*Interesting side note...that chain/lock on the door, more than likely, has never been removed since it was placed there. The date of that lock is, certainly of Foreman's era.
Keep up the GREAT videos, Sir! You should have been a history teacher or professor.👍

Well I finished watching it a second time and I spotted something weird. That face by the chains on the door looked so much like Gacy in his clown face. It gave me the creeps. The name Crowley also gave me the creeps because in the Supernatural series Crawley was the name of the king of hell. This was really a real interesting story. Your voice is perfect for these videos. Ron, I do love your detective work on some of these videos and it seems like you have hooked up with so many good people who help finish the story sometimes ..
Reminds me of my reading of Encyclopedia Brown as a child or Nancy Drew ...I couldnt wait for the end of the book. .but felt like if I studied hard enough I could solve it myself . Just like you did with the dates of these prominent men ..and now your helpers have completed the story , which is fascinating by itself.
P.S. there is no way to ever pick a favorite video or grave you show us but like the statue at the beginning of this one reminded me of the one I often think about the young boy that died and was set free of his wheelchair and earned his ANGEL wings. !!!
That memorial really hit me ...simply amazing. And since I am not a rich woman in dollars , I doubt I would have ever seen it without your video..
I am however RICH in my joy of having 7 grandchildren now .
I am blessed beyond measure and richer in love than I ever could imagine. My twin granddaughters born during the pandemic are now 1 yr old busy crazy and wild little princesses in this Nanas eye and these grands are the reason I am not Rich in dollars of course ..♡♡♡ but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I actually had 3 grandchildren during this covid time ..my 2 daughters gave me the twin girls and another grandson to add to my pack of grandsons. Lol...
Now I have to save my extra dollars from grocery money because I really want a hoodie from FOF ...I love the angel logo and the fact that $$ donated during your lives , goes toward helping someone who was forgotten be remembered again . Isnt that what we all hope for someday . To not be forgotten. ?
You truly are my absolute favorite creator and the 1st I check each time I log on ..loving the fb page as well
Thank you for allowing me to not feel so alone with my fascination of cemeteries and those buried within its gates ...I love history and ancestry as well and sometimes soend hours rewatching your videos , my husband thinks I am morbid but obviously doesn't understand just the amount of stories that can be told of these folks from so long ago. Sorry for the long post. It truly is hard to explain my love of it all in just a few words..now I dont feel so awkward talking about it

I remember him telling me, Alister when married, spent his honeymoon in the pyramids and shortly after entering for the evening with new bride in arm, he and wife emerged frightened and never return.

TY for the video Ron. I was s follower of Thelema for a few years, ascribed to one of their lodges. I must stress the rituals involved were not black magic. A C. set the foundation for modern day witchcraft. A lot of which is used in the now Law of attraction and positive thinking. A lot of stuff said is properganda and wrote by adversaries like what happened with the16thC witch hunts, where innocents were condemned to death on the word of their neighbours or opposition. People are scared of people who prefer a different lifestyle Also, many of us did not take drugs. 🙏❤️

There’s a good chance that the Salem witch trials wasn’t actually about witches but about the taking of valuable land from the owners through false accusations.
Many of the women who were hung were land owning widows.
Once they were accused, the land was confiscated.
John Proctor was a profitable land owner who also owned a tavern. Once he and his wife were accused and jailed his land and tavern were taken and they slaughtered his animals, emptied his pub, and his children were left with no means of support.
Why steal the land? The governor recently changed the law that only those who owned land could vote.
Corruption went much deeper than superstition.

Crowley was a charlatan "Wizard", a sensationalist. At that period in time, he was not alone. It could well be that one of Foreman's children fed this fool money.

Love your videos! I’m a fairly new subscriber! Its nice to know I’m not the only one who loves walking around cemeteries. There is a cemetery in Macon, GA also called Rosehill! If you haven’t checked it out you really should the next time you come this way. It’s huge, stunning and has some amazing memorial stones. There are a few reasons to visit this location. The most popular would be the graves of the Allman Brothers but I think you’d be more interested in the Woolfolk family graves. If I’m not mistaken it is still the largest mass murder in the state of GA. You wouldn’t be disappointed if you visited! I’ve walked it many times and always seem to discover something new.

That said, I try to do stories that are a little more off the beaten path, there’s very many many videos on RUclips at their Grave. I am an Allman’s fan. So the Woolfolk sounds interesting and I’ll definitely put it on my list.

At 12:49 you see a little circle mirror, or something reflective, at the bottom left hand corner of the mausoleum. What is that? You can see it at the end too at 16:02. I know it is a vent of some sort, but there is definitely something reflective in there.

    • @FacesoftheForgotten

It’s actually just a mirror, a sticker somebody put on there. I’ll take a closer look as I am going back and there will be an episode two and it will all be a trilogy actually. Look for episode two when I go out there I’ll take a closer look. But I’m pretty sure when I looked at it it appeared to just be something stuck on there and it was definitely a mirror
