He wasn't holding anything back. Remember - he was 39 yrs old and had been fighting at the highest level for 14 yrs when he fought Pac. It's a sign of Mosley's quality that at 39 he was able to go the distance against the best P for P fighter in the world.
I doubt that Pac or MW will be able to do this when they're 39.
This fight reminds us just how good Mosley was in his prime - even now his only career defeats have been to other world champs and he went the distance each time.

+Dan Hunter its a harder to slip punches, catch and counter, and use defense than just come forward. You keep yourself fresh using defensive tactics. the things that judges score is off defense, effective aggression, and controlling a fight. Its not running if you are countering someone and using your left to give out punishment and take non. That takes more skill than just coming forward and getting pummeled. Plus, margarito is so damn slow, that floyd would actually go to him, like he did canelo.

Y eso de que gano o no todas sus otras peleas con ayuda del yeso, nunca lo vamos a saber, porque se descubrió en una de sus ultimas peleas.

@shoulderollHD please, John Duddy had the best chin of this era. He was hit by HUGE punches and never once stopped. Margarito was hit by huge punches and was stopped twice. Only reason he wasn't stopped by pacquiao is because when pacquiao hurt him he actually showed mercy by not going in for the kill, look it up. Pacquiao had margarito out on his feet on several occasions, and he's a 5'6 welterweight, margarito is a 5'11 light middleweight. That's a pathetic chin.

Everyone was a Shane Mosley fan this night. Even Mexicans that used to cheer for Margacheato. I don't know if Margacheato cheated against Cotto or others because both Cotto and Margacheato's face were both busted up in that fight. However, this night we seen some shady things go down where he had plaster wraps in his gloves before the fight so Margacheato was definitely concern that he might not be able to hurt Shane Mosley. There was foul play in this fight. Now I know Cotto feels like Margacheato did this to him too and I believe Kermit also believes Margarito cheated against him. That is all speculation and if he did that means the teams for Cotto and Kermit failed to inspect the handwraps properly. Thank God Shane Mosley's people did their job.
Not true nobody was rooting for Mosley, all the Mexicans love Margarita. Even the blacks thought Margarito would win. Nobody knew Margarito cheated until after it was confirmed. I remember the build up, thats why the fight was on regular HBO instead of PPV people assumed Margarito would easily win. Shane pretty much had no fan support was considered a washed fighter

What was the point of mentioning the sucker punch to victor ortiz without providing the full context? That's deceiving, Ortiz was fighting dirty from the start and was never going to win by points. The last straw was when he loaded up his final head butt and got off both feet. Floyd required stiches after that headbutt and all bets were off after that.
Second the mentioning of Pacquiao starting so small just points to the high possibility he was on PEDs, which isn't saying much because most of them are including Floyd.
i'm a pacquiao fan but i really really wish it was this mosley he fought, not the one waiting for pay cheque the other night... would have been a good fight.
