The BGMs and all the music related to this game is exceptional. That alone sells me this game but man!!! character design, voice acting, all the animations (movement, face, fighting), art style, just what are you cooking?
An evolution of the Turn-based RPG that i've wanted to see for so so long. I've grown tired of the "Stand still while i get hit" type of roll based Attacks. I want this. A combination of Quick actions with turn based gameplay that make it feel fluid and fun not static and still.
Then you are not playing lots of rpg, because that evolution you asked have been done decades ago with super mario rpg. There are lots of rpgs do the same.
This game looks AMAZING. One of my highest anticipated games currently. One thing I'd like to leave feedback on is around the 1:48 mark, the dodges but more so the parries; I think there should be more fluidity to the animations. Currently they are very snappy and I understand that it's the style you're going for but yeah. When she parries and the enemy is behind her, it would be perfect for a short recovery animation while she also looks over the shoulder so she still has focus on the enemy.
The animation could use improvement. It looks a little stiff, and something feels off. The models and effects themselves are great, but the way they move and react to hits needs tweaking. I hope improvements are made, and it comes out good!
Can't get over how ridiculously perfect the animations are, especially facial animations, like half of the views are mine alone. For example notice how Lune throws a glance towards Maelle as she's saying "she'll be fine", or when Maelle blocks the Dueliste attack that pushes her back, her body tenses, these split-second minor details are what makes the animations that much more believable.
I hope and wish that there are also humanoid enemies. I've always found it satisfying to fight strong enemies that look human and/or actual human size. By the way, the purchase will be instant.
I was super excited for this game when you showed up at the Xbox E3 thing. That had me more interested than anything else that showed that weekend. This makes me even more hype. Everything is looking pretty damn great, can't wait to get my hands on it. This team of devs are doing amazing work.
Lol what? No? This is just a more adult story using the paper Mario command prompt combat. It's a logical step for 3d turn based games after stuff like lost odyssey and shadow hearts
No online services No trends No modern audience bullshit Just pure creativity. This is what made gaming industry so popular and this is what people expect from games. Mad respect!
The "zoom in, zoom out, zoom in, zoom out, zoom in, zoom out..." combat cam needs either an off switch or it needs to be toned waaaaaay down. Otherwise, the game looks great.
Ironic that the FF devs walked away from this turned-based format. For a decade they ruled this genre with their top-notch presentation starting 20+ years ago. I am glad to see this new startup is picking up where they left off. Looking forward to the release. I hope this does well.

A combination of Quick actions with turn based gameplay that make it feel fluid and fun
not static and still.
Battles look fun!
I would suggest trying the Paper Mario or Mario&Luigi RPG games then! Sea of Stars is also worth checking in that regard.
Then you are not playing lots of rpg, because that evolution you asked have been done decades ago with super mario rpg. There are lots of rpgs do the same.
Evolution? Shadow heart had it 20 years ago.
I was today years old when I learned about this game. Holy smokes this looks AMAZING. Mechanics look 🔥 too! Absolutely wish listed this!!!
Looks promising, nice visual, amazing gameplay, fresh concept, great music, words just can't describe this.
The animation could use improvement. It looks a little stiff, and something feels off. The models and effects themselves are great, but the way they move and react to hits needs tweaking. I hope improvements are made, and it comes out good!
Once in a while devs actually create something unique. So excited to play this.
2:42 shadowheart!?
yes it is
Can't get over how ridiculously perfect the animations are, especially facial animations, like half of the views are mine alone.
This game could define a whole new genre and im hoping it goes viral
Lol what? No? This is just a more adult story using the paper Mario command prompt combat. It's a logical step for 3d turn based games after stuff like lost odyssey and shadow hearts
This looks like the most beautiful game I've ever seen! The characters are so perfect!
No online services
No trends
No modern audience bullshit
Just pure creativity. This is what made gaming industry so popular and this is what people expect from games. Mad respect!
I have genuinely never felt this excited for a game release before, looks incredible
Square Enix needs to watch this and learn how to make turn-based RPGs. Game changer.
Love, love, love this! It's in my wish list. Keep up the amazing work and please take your time!
This game looks insane!! As a huge fan of turn based RPGs i'm so excited
I smell GOTY.
btw "Let's spill some ink" is such a great line.
Damn I'm excited.
Game of the Year 2025
Flop of the year. 2025 is packed.
It looks absolutey amazing! Let's hope for a 60fps option
If persona team actually innovated not stayed with the same ps3 DOOKIE GRAPHICS
L take
The art style of what I just saw is breathtaking... Wishlist-ed, I can't wait to get my hands on this game.
Finally someone is showing Square Enix how it should be with JRPGs these days. Expedition 33 looks incredible!
Yeah I said the same thing with my post. I think squenix is eventually going to realize they messed up walking away from this gameplay format.
I keep coming back to this. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!!!
This looks absolutely incredible. 100% my most anticipated game of next year. I already like the characters and the interface/combat animations look and sound so damn satisfying. Also, good choice to get Shadowheart's VA involved.
This was my personal highlight this year of all game announcements so far! Can't wait to play it!
Though I've essentially sworn off pre-orders, I might have to make an exception for this one. Of all games in development right now, this is the one at the top of my list I'm most interested in.
After so many years, I can't believe a game made me want to play RPGs again. I had my eye on Ys X, but this one got me excited. Immersive Persona-style interface. And what's that soundtrack? It all looks magnificent. Great job, you've gained a fan.
What I love about turned based games the most is it allows me to sit back, chill and eat a steak.
This game looks amazing! The Persona like Menu in combat, the animations, the graphics, the combat mechanics while being a turn based rpg... Sheesh!! Whislisting this on steam right now!! Super excited to see how it turns out!!
Hands down this is one of the most BEAUTIFUL looking games I've ever seen! I am so stoked to play this! The combat looks like a great mix of turn based and real time and the premise itself has got me really excited!
Amazing atmosphere! UI alone deserves to be studied. That radial attack menu is bomb
What an absolute treat this was! I've been anxious and waiting for some more footage and this delivered. I now only want more tho 😢😂
The art direction, the music, the concept, the slight feeling of nostalgia from the Ps2 era of RPG's, it's all god tier and I'm all here for it! ❤
I dig the visuals, art directions, and mostly the sound effects and music : ) I am curious about the plot and game now!
