    I didn't think lower was better in terms of going faster with the atlas jack plate , I figured the higher the motor the faster.
    I got to drive a phoenix 920 a few days ago, but Bass Cat will always be my dream boat! Someday a flashed show and a cat will be in my garage!

      You are correct. I might have not been clear. It runs best about 2” up from bottom

    Beautiful boat Mr Crews!!!!!! It performs rather nicely. Good hole shots, and it is quick to plane . Now here's what I was told after I broke my last one in......" You can't catch fish running at 50+ mph!". I laughed hard the first time I heard it. But there is a ton of truth to that fact. The color is the scheme I like the most. I received my Mini D Chunks last week and I've been enjoying trying them on the various jigs I use. I like em!!!! It's going to be a few months before I figure out the best one to use with it. Thanks for sharing, congratulations on the new boat!!!!

      Haha! You’re right. Truth is I LOVE driving a fast boat. Glad you working them chunks. Thanks man

      Gotta hand full of new finesse jigs in my pocket right now and headed to see how they perform in a creek I've had my eye on. Gonna try loading a threaded Chunk with a rattle vs a new finesse jig that comes with a rattle installed. First observation is a glass rattle vs a polymer rattle. Glass and plastic are completely different but so is the structure I'm fishing. There's debris from the storm there now. More bass but they seem spookish.

    That’s the biggest question I keep getting asked is what it will run on top end. I tell them what I know and that it should run 75 loaded.

  • @lendoldodd2719

    What prop

  • @stevemolina8801
    @stevemolina8801 2 года назад +1

    When I win the Lotto!! Interesting that no matter the Cat most seem to run the 24 Fury on these new Merc motors. I run one on my 21 PII, just me and a light load have hit 75 and think I can get a little more. Actually My dream Cat is a Cougar Hybrid.

    • @JohnCrews
      @JohnCrews  2 года назад

      It’s weird how so many cats run best with that same prop.
