    Why so little being done? One aerial ladder in action, no hand lines, no attempt to save all the cars, no real attempt to do anything!

      @DJIGeordie  Месяц назад +6

      When I arrived there was the aerial ladder and another hose at the other end which I thought was strange as there was loads of fire engines.

    Lots of fire trucks parked far away from the fire but no firefighting. Why would this be?

    This is embarrassing for the Scottish fire brigade. The lack of being able to establish a good water supply at an industrial estate is criminal

    This is in Houston Scotland, not Houston Texas. That could explain why the fire response was rather lame. That is why it was explained as "Houston industrial estate", and not Houston industrial park in its caption.

      Our fire and rescue service sent the height vehicle from Edinburgh as neither Bathgate or Livingston - the two whole time fire stations in West Lothian - have a height vehicle.

    I went online and found that they had water supply problems and someone that had a pod refused to allow them to take water from the pond.

    • @pj6641
      @pj6641 Месяц назад +3

      They can't refuse the fire service Yes, the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 allows fire and rescue authorities to use water from any suitable source, including ponds, to fight fires or protect life or property. However, they must pay reasonable compensation for the water, which is limited by the Water Industry Act 1991. This act prohibits water undertakers from charging for water used for emergencies, such as fighting fires, testing fire-fighting equipment, or training.

      Yup,the turntable ladder came from Tollcross Fire Station in Edinburgh as there's no height vehicles at any of the two whole time stations in West Lothian (Livingston and Bathgate). In September last year a lot of height vehicles were taken off the run - the ARPs - and Crewe Toll Fire Station in Edinburgh lost it's turntable ladder and 10 personnel due to cuts. Edinburgh - and Glasgow - both now only have two height vehicles each which also cover towns outside of both cities. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have really f*cked up...

    That's funny. Says "Fire today at Houston industrial estate bmw warehouse". Yet the fire trucks are all European style fire trucks. 100% different than anything used by the Houston Fire Department. The fire fighters are all wearing European style protective gear, much different than that worn by the Houston Fire Department. Houston is in Texas and I don't see a single Pickup Truck ANYWHERE! At 0:25 in the video there are mountains in the background, there are no mountains within almost 100 miles of Houston. The vehicles in the video all have European style license plates. Also, there ain't no streets marked anything like those in the video anywhere in Houston. I should know. I live just a few miles south of Houston. Guess it must not be in Houston after all.

    ruclips.net/user/shortsTmYR4MswG8M?si=LbmAnV9wQJ9V81DN This is a link to some orher footage, it looks like high winds were fanning the fire, that and a lack of water from the mains, unfortunately these industrial estate are not built with large water mains for firefighting purposes. The fire crews can only fo what they can with the water available. The main is only large enough for making tea znd flushing the toilets. There are also lots of flammables inside, lots of bangs, I would say that all the keys to the parked cars are also inside the building
