That chat at around 20 minutes in really hit home growing up around cars in West Cork with all this stuff that was taken for granted at the time and I was way too young to own anything myself and now that I'm finally of age to be into this stuff I'm priced out it. Repaired a crack in my alfa 156 plastic tank with plastic padding super steel, not a drip weep leak nothing, sold the car after 5 years and still holding strong. I'd fo it again in a heartbeat

I had a fujitsubo manifold that came on a eunos roadster, it had been wrapped for years, looked really nice and shiny when I unwrapped it but it had cracked everywhere and fell to pieces.

Nah it was all attached with the proper rubbers + original flex, but maybe in its previous life in Japan they didn't care as much

I had the same headlight issue where one side would move slightly more, turns out is a bad motor relay. the relay that mounts just behind the passenger headlight. that relay controls the delay for power to rotate the headlight motors. when the relay is bad it sends too much power causing the light to go a bit too far
I went through four motors before discovering the issue, swapped that relay and now my light on my Trueno work like new
Thankfully we got it sorted, fresh motor relay and sorted the correct splines
