That's pretty gnarly. Ran seas like that out to Montague island in AK two years ago, had to turn back as they were building. Seeing greenwater every third wave is unnerving.
I’m looking at upgrading to the 3025 Destination next year. My only concern is the gunnels seem a bit low. What are your thoughts on the sides? I know the deck is self bailing, but I’m worried about accidentally falling over if out back fishing in semi-rough seas.
If you’re buying a new one, you can get higher gunnels in a package, and it raises the rear fish box. I have owned two kingfishers, both have been used and we took the boat to a fabricator and raised the gunnels and rear fish box. I thought the gunnels where too low. The rear fish box needs to be higher, if it stays low you’re back will be screaming.
To be clear I can’t plane on a single 200, but still love the engines. I pack the boat up every year with 5 big guys, ice, food, and gear and have no problems.
i'd be careful in this situation ? the way boats are massed produced i wouldn't trust those windows ? should have storm windows ? one of those coulda went right through
She nose dives pretty good. Beautiful boat but I will stick with my duck 30xl. I think you are underpowered. The bow digs in and doesn't want to raise from the lack of HP. Throw a couple 350's on there and call it the day. It really is a beautiful boat and thanks for the video
Those aren't 5-8 foot seas. Maybe 3-5 foot. And yes I live in the PNW, I'm used to our weather here. Very stupid to mount that GoLight on your bow rail and then point it back to the cabin. Your going to blind yourself when you turn it on.
You need to go out of the Oregon Inlet in NC on a bad day. It gets so bad that if your were an Atheist, you would automatically start praying and believing in God to answer your prayers to get you home safely. Not trying to take away from the PNW that is Narly also.

great video guys!
Curious to know whether once one is in seas like this, does the music automatically switche on?
She handled the wave smoothly. Not like the kingfisher 3025 we usually saw that would just smashed into the wave

not bad
Can this 3025 run with twin 250s? Twin 300s?
I believe they can have twin 250’s, and have heard they can plane on a single 250. I have twin 200’s and love them.
@@dabuoys8703 ok, 200s are the way to go then😎

No way...... this boat is built for this. if a boat can't take green water we have a problem. Even my C-Dory takes on green water.
Where is the bad weather

@@ReelPolack Wow... clueless comment
That weather would be not a thing for my kingfisher K26.

Wrong Mr. Mike.... those are much bigger than 3-5. The camera always does that. S
I don't know why, but camera flattens waves big time. Waves need to be well over 3-5 to stuff the bow on that boat, I'd think.
