This year we upgraded our boat to the incredible new KingFisher 3025 GFX model. In this extended scene from Episode 2 of Season 6 Brendan heads to Parksville Boathouse to pick up his FULLY LOADED and decked out new boat.
This boat is the culmination of a lot of great sponsors and partnerships that have lasted since the very beginning of Reel West Coast. We spent all summer creating episodes, experiences and family memories on this aluminum boat and we could not be happier with how it performed.
In this video Brendan gets a walk through of the finished boat before heading out to do its initial water test including compass calibration, motor test and using the Auto Pilot.

Love these kinds of videos!
Beautiful boat but most people couldn't afford the gas to run it let alone buy it.I'd like to see more affordable options for west coast fishing.Last time we went out from Alberni to a few miles off Cape Beal it was a 300.00 bill and we got gas for 1.70 at China Creek! And that's with a single 150 horse. Love your videos, kudos to the camera guy.
@@brianwalker5843 Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching! Gas prices make everyone grit their teeth for sure. We try and think of it as fun per gallon but it's a burden on everyone. Thanks for the support and good luck this season!
@@brianwalker5843 are you buy the boats from my fishing manufacturer in china ?
Congrats on the fabulous rig. You are my hero for the day
Someone is a LUCKY DOG, WITH THAT beauty, love it, love it LOVE IT!!!

Great video. We are looking at new boats right now. Not sure about aluminum. We will use it here in Southern California and the San Juan Islands. Any updates on how this boat has worked for you would be awesome:-)
He'll ya more and more episodes is a must!!!! Fish on gang 🐟 love it
Thanks for watching!
Love the GFX bow.
Long past time.
And the helm!
Now for some integrated tuna spreaders!
There’s a chance it may already have tuna spreaders that will be featured in a future video….
Nice boat can’t wait to see u slaying on it 🍻 the more vids the better
Thanks for watching!
Excellent 👍🏻
👊
Sick boat
We definitely agree!
A+++ vid
beautiful rig!
We agree! Thanks for watching
that is a fish killin MACHINE!
It’s a fishy boat for sure!
Absolutely stunning boat! That thing is gonna slay fish! Should have gone with a lifetimer tho😜
It’s very fishy! We went out with Canucks Fin on its maiden voyage and hammered fish. Full Episode soon!!
That is an amazing set up! Well, one year later and what else have you improved upon? Any new items for improved efficiency?
One sweet ride for sure. More episodes for sure, enjoy watching your show. One question, why did you go with GFX model over the standard 30' ?
We wanted a heavier boat with a deeper hull. We heard great things about the GFX. The layout also has a couple minor differences with a big one being the sliding door in and out of the cuddy
Nice. What is the performance with the 200's (GPH at cruising).
I thought I read on Simrad's website that their Autopilot has a feature like Garmin's (shadow drive) where you can turn the boat without disengaging the autopilot to avoid obstacles. Maybe Garmin's patent expired ?
I had the opportunity to circumnavigate and fish the Haida Gwaii Islands 3 years ago like you did. How did you like going thru the Skidgate Channel. We almost hit a deer when we went thru.
All of the lingcod we caught were over 40#. The salmon fishing was excellent at the west end of Skidgate.
You should make the run from Port Hardy over to Haida Gwaii. The Sandspit marina is very good place to keep your boat and the lodge above the marina will process your catch for a modest fee.
Looking forward to more videos.
We average a burn rate of approximately 7.5/8 mpg when cruising at 3800 RPM. Cruising speed at roughly 25-28mph.
Yes, you can manually turn the wheel if necessary to avoid obstacles while under auto pilot. Circumventing Haida Gwaii must have been spectacular!!
check your number please... I think you have the wrong units @@ReelWestCoast
@@ReelWestCoast 7.5 mpg at 25 mph? Are you sure? That would be crazy
Maybe one day.......
How much one will cost?
what are you guys going to be doing with the older boat? selling?
It sold almost immediately in the fall of 2021
are you adding the seakeeper
That would be awesome. We would for sure.
No video of the cabin?.
Здравствуйте. Это алюминиевые лодки??
Is this a salt water boat?
Twin 200s?? It could take 300s.
I guess if I’m asking what the payment would be on something like that I’m already looking at the wrong boat😂
