i put 100,000 miles on mine in the 70's. in the winter, i would remove the hard top, roll up the windows, crank the heat, and be warm. italian secret - small compartment under each pop-up headlight, vented to incoming air - could each fit a bottle of wine. put two warm ones in - drive to where you're going, again in winter, get there with two chilled bottles.
Thank you for showing your excellent X1/9. I also have one: a 1978 Serie Speciale that used to belong to my father and, before that, my former boss. I think they are one of the great Italian cars, even if they are underpowered.
Great film. I have a 1978 X/19 in green just like this which I have owned since 1991. Mine is a limited series speciale. I used to drive it to school here in Australia. But yes, they are getting quite rare. I will never sell it. Currently, I have just started a full restoration.
This was my first car I bought 1982, model year 1973 and with the same green color. The best color for this car, very good decision to paint your X1/9 in this color. I'm still in love with this design and it was a lot of fun to drive it. Unfortunately I had an accident with my X1/9 and have sold it then to Germany. Greets from Switzerland.
love the whole movie... what a beautiful color . it looks really nice.. i have been to thailand a lot but never saw any x 1/9. i had a 1300 x 1/9 and now i drive a 1500 X 1/9.. keep it in good shape !!! :-)
Owned mine for nearly 18 years. Hugely underrated. Something I can't quite get my head around. The design is really something to behold. Really is!!!!!!!.
Excellent vid. Love the colour. Brings back memories for me having owned eleven different X1/9s over the years in the late 80s to early 90s. Oldest being a 1974 4speed carb 1300cc, newest a 1981 5speed Fuel injected 1500cc (last year available where I live) which was the best one I'd owned. Didn't have much money back then so most of them were neglected cheap ones I had to fix up myself. But loved the X1/9 so much I preferred to have this over something more practical or reliable in -20 degree winters. I worked on them so much I know every inch of that car. Hope you keep yours forever!
I had one of the first 1500cc X1/9's in the UK. Fantastic car. Sadly they suffered from rust due to Fiats trade deal with Russia for their steel.. it gave me 4 great years before I sold it though.
Although this little beauty has the hallmarks as a 1974 (bumperettes) it does not have the 5 oblong slotted holes on the rear valance. I believe those car is a later model that has been converted and modified to look like a '74.
Lovely video. Gratifying to see that the car has such significance to you. I used to have a '79 (1.5 liter, 5-speed, carburated) in that same metallic green.
Purtroppo non ho capito una parola di quello che è stato detto, ma la qualità delle immagini ha parlato da sola. Complimenti, lavoro ben riuscito. Unfortunately I understood no words, but quality of the video is very good. Congratulations, good work.
Hello My Friend who Loves His X-1/9 A Beautiful Video, I Also own a Green X-1/9 (1975) Looked the same as Yours. Had it 10 years... sold it, I wish I had Kept it! Miss it Bad ! Lucky You.
geil. :-))))))
This is by far the best Fiat X1/9 Video on RUclips.

About Toyota MR2 (sw20) is popular here not so hard to find, MR2 (aw11) is rarer. MG Mid-Engine i'm not sure about this maybe have some few.

With propaganda from rivals of course ,not will be forgotten.
