@@brianroberge4226 Started with a 75, then drove a 74 for a several years. Ended up with a 79 that I owned for 12 years. Rust was always a problem, but both the 1300 and 1500 cc engines are practically bullet proof.
I owned two in the late 1970s and early 1980s. My brand new 1979 with 3 piece compomotive rims and P6s was my favorite. It seems like forever ago and those memories will last a lifetime
I so loved mine in the 80's, but I live on the coast, and the Irish sea came in and buried it, it never really recovered and had to go, a sad day indeed, had to trade it for a Wrangler 4ltr.
I am on my 3rd one. I had a 1974, 1976 and now a 1982. contact Midwest/Bayless in Ohio they can hook you up with a nice X1/9. Bring back the memories!
Fond memories for sure. Miss my ‘77 red one I bought new! Thanks for the vid!
It's been 22 years since I had an X... fond memories. :-)
I've technically owned two, but only one was drivable. Got one really fun summer out of that in 2007. Someday maybe I'll get another one.
