TJM Towbar Failure and how I fixed it.

TJM Towbar failed. This is how I fixed the excessive play between the tow hitch and the tower. The excessive movement put enormous stress on the poorly welded locking bolt nut which broke away.

I had exactly the same thing happen, had to re-weld the captive nut also.. that slag is pretty ordinary :(
