This is the most frustrating mission imo, but the hardest mission really goes to that turret one where you fight the KG ship. The controls are always too finicky. I'll barely nudge my stick, and next thing you know, I'm looking at the other side of the screen. It takes way too long, and there's way too many enemies that just tank your health like no tomorrow.
That mission is so hit or miss. Either everything lines up perfectly and it's easy peasy, smooth sailing from start to finish, or it's literally impossible and I die 200 times. No in-between. Definitely a solid contender for hardest mission

I used to think that was hard too until I found out the turret you use has an overheat where if you hold shoot for too long it shoots slower doing less damage. Might be obvious but as a kid I overlooked this and it was hard. Played recently and you can burst firing everything killing the KG easier

i personally REALLY hate the drill mission it has zero checkpoints so if you die once you have to do the. entire. thing. over. again. and if the krimzon guards just REALLY do not cooperate with you then they can easily make the mission take like 5 times as long as it's supposed to unless you're a hoverboard GOD
I honestly don’t think Jak 2 was that hard of a game but what made it difficult is there’s barely any checkpoints. You could go through a mission just to die right near the end then have to do the entire thing again. I played the game recently and didn’t really struggle with many. Hardest mission was racing Erol in the city. The actual race is quite fun what makes it hard was all the citizens getting in the way knocking you around. Fun game to play again though! One of my favourites of all time

Not only the guards are brutal, but the passive NPCs' hover cars kept getting in your way and sometimes block you. (Memory of this mission is fuzzy since I hadn't played this game in 15 years)

This is suggested for me bc I’ve been watching clips and thought about replaying Jak 2, but ty for this clip. I forgot how frustrating this level is. I will play Jak 3 instead lmao
I did..skipped right over 2..but if u have dark jak going into this mission just do darkbomb onto water..it takes out the water bot & you can hover board under docks without too much damage..

One time i finished this mission, after hours of struggle just to realize, that my save borked itself after that mission. Game wouldn't give me next mission, so i had to play whole game again... And this mission again. Still love it.
This was genuinely one of the hardest missions on my first playthrough... until I learned how to parkour with the jetboard across the piers, almost on the same way you are.
Pro tip: Activate Dark Jak, do the dark slam attack onto the water, the sentry gun in the water is now destroyed and you’re free to jet board underneath all the enemies to the end of the mission. gg ez game ez life

Ngl this way to beat the mission saves a LOT of ammo fr. in my oppinion the hardest level ever in hero mode is the drill where you MUST kill all 50 KG with jetpack before beating the 2 ships, Even when you're down last to 1 you still die. And i haded to use Debug mode to pass that ugly a*s part.
If you move fast enough the Krimzon Guards won't have enough time to shoot you. The same applies to the gun on the vehicle they jump out of cause it only takes a few seconds to shoot.
This wasnt honestly even that hard for me, it took me around 4-6 tries to get it, For me the hardest one was the 2 minute bomb mission or the one where you need to cover those 3 idiots.
People who say these games are hard are probably little kids who can't handle old school games because the games they play nowadays hold your hand and are way more forgiving

I think that mission is ok, i replayed the jak series (almost) every years and i never struggle on this one

The true hardest mission is getting Jak to talk before he gets imprisoned.
Just get a pet rat and that would be easy to beat.
For me it's the mission at the Dig where you use the Turret to take down the 50 jetpack krimzon guards on hero mode

I loved when Naughty Dog make games like Crash and Jak, now they are making interactive movies.
I've found destroying the eco wells to be harder over the years. The time limit is so tight a single missed jump can be the end.
that's not true at all lol. i failed like 5 jumps because on pc it's so finicky 2 minutes is plenty of time for that

just go dark eco mode and do a dark bomb on the water, it’ll kill the robot so u can skate it all untouched :)

This was sorta manageable, shooting down the ship at the Drill Platform was the difficult one for me.

This mission is just hell. I only completed it after something about 2 hours. Even that goddamn racing missions weren't so hard.

@@treyxyz Hey, I'm no expert but the KG already have bad aim. They usually miss the 1st couple shots when you're already moving.
