Instead of doing this workaround, create a multiline text metafield, now you can add as many styles as you want. I've tested it last week and works perfectly.
THANK YOU! This is exactly the information I needed. Thank you for making this so easy to follow!
thank you!!! Very well explained, easy to do and solved my filter issue.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was struggling since so long about how to add filters which are not variants. For real, this was so helpful. Thanks again @BitBranding
It is really helpful. Thanks...!
Most welcome, thank you for watching!
'i m👋👋👋👋 glad you found the video helpful! What you're saying is that you'd like me to explain it in more detail. We will try to explain in more detail in the future. You are saying that you would be more grateful if you made a series about Metafield. As I understand it, are you saying that it would be a good idea to make a series about Metafield? If so, I would appreciate it if you could let me know what information would be needed to create a series about Metafield. Thank you for subscribing!
Great Video! I have a question: How can I sort the filters order, for instance I have the Size Filter on but its not in the order I want, it supposedly orders them in order but it's not doing it for me. thanks!
Great video
Im trying to make custom filters for my different prouct lines i have four product lines under one brand name.
Do you know which type meta field i would use to make product lines filter so customers can filter by product line?
Thank you so much for the explanation. Had a question. I see that there are 2 categories (main and sub - style and for him) is it possible to expand for example for general store (Health & beauty -> Hair -> Accessories) sort of breaking it down even more?
or to better suit what i need
is it possible to edit the filter navigation for different pages:
for example if im on women's page the navigation filter would have women's metafiels vs on the men's page you would only see men's metafiels and not women's. I already know how to edit pages to not effect the default pages.
Great video! Thank you for this information. I'm wondering if you can answer a question for me: I am using the dawn theme and testing the filters on my desktop. I can't seem to select on the drop-down the category of the product type or availability. Would you happen to know what I need to do? Thank you in advance.
Sir please tell when you click any one of filter submenu checbox a recent collection show under the filter menu how I show that recent collection
Great stuff! Thanks for your efforts! Can you confirm whether there is a limitation if a collection contains more than 1000 products? The effect i. e. is that the area is left blank instead of showing the vertical filters. Using the Dawn theme 5.0. Thanks for your answer!
Can you assign custom selected tags on products to show on certain collection filters even if that product has multiple tags that you dont want to display on the filters on certain collections?
so do I interesting in this topic
Great video - no problem following along and adding my variant metafield and displaying the filter on my collection page. However, it is only putting one product in each category. For example, I created a color variant metafiled. Even though 10 of my product variants are blue - only one will show up. What am I doing wrong?
What if I want to add multiple options?
I run a greetings cards website and I want filters such as “suitable for kids, adults, men, women”…..some of the cards fall into more than one of those categories but it only lets me type one into the meta field
super!!
HOLA! gracias por el video! Me gustaría preguntar si se puede cambiar el lugar dónde se encuentra el filtro o solo depende de tu template. Algunos solo permite ponerlos en la parte lateral pero no en el top de la colección. Gracias de antemano!!
I have a spotlight theme. I have 3 collections. One of the collections comes up on the home page with text that says there are too many filters and to remove them. I did that, but it is back the next time I go to the home page. I did not add any filters, so I am confused to how to remove the filters permanently. Can you help?
How will these filter effect seo ? Does Google crawl all the filters? Will filters create duplicate content ?
I have Dawn 2.0 theme, 7.0.1 version and it says it does not support filters. Is this because it's a free theme?
Is there a way to do something like this, but with tags?
also does your company work on Shopify sites were also a clothing brand
We do, you can schedule a strategy session here: website.bitbranding.co/
Sir, how to hide quantity of products??
Hey I have a question - how do you change the actual format of the filter from individual options you can select (ex. blue, green, red) to a range (ex. "from" value and a "to" value)? Thanks!
Can those metafields written by api?
I've done it and I still don't see my products on my website shopify
can i filter the product for example
if 4 products of my store is best seller this week so it will be displayed
now for each week i want to add this type of filter can i do it with shopify
reply
Hi! I have an issue that I'm not sure how to solve. Some products in my store have varients in size and color and some do not. I created metafields for the products that do not have varients so that they would show up when filtering. However, I now have size and color show up twice in my filters. One that pulls from the product options and one that pulls from metafields. How can I resolve this? Thank you for any help in advance!
I am trying to do what you did with the variants for multiple collections but by tags. Why Did they get rid of tag filtering?
Yeah, i need the tag filtering but they remove for some reason
