you should make a video about new vs classic customer accounts and what would you suggest. i think its really important and you are the only on we trust
Great video! Thanks for the clear way of explaining. Couldn’t really understand the metaobjects at the Shopify help section but now I do! Subscribed to your newsletter. Keep going 💯
Hey 👋 Sorry to ask, how long have you been into dropshipping and e-commerce I’m trying to build relationships with like minded people to help grow my store too
Hi mate. Great video. I have a question. What if you want to show products on the retailer page? I mean when you enter to the retailer page you see products thanks you can find on that retailer. How would you do that? Thank you
What are the SEO implications for using metaobjects that organize products into what otherwise would be sub-collections? Metaobjects seem like a much more scalable and efficient way of organizing products, especially given the yes/no limitations of collection filters (fix this, shopify!) but then you don't have a crawler-friendly structure.
Hi thank you for your video. How to connect a metafield to a product variant ? And how to change the category of a metafield ? I've created a metaobject and metafield but still can't use it to select my product's variants as it's restricted based on the product category while I've selected the proper category. Thank you in advance.
Hi Ed, could you make a tutorial to show collection name in dropdown and based on collection name show products in that particular collection in shopify custom form
Hello Eduard! I've been learning how to do coding thanks to you, your videos are more than amazing. Could you do a video about how to code sticky add to cart? Or something really next level coding. Have a great weekend!
Hi, Ed! I have a question for you. I ask you because you are the best and I know that you make it easy. Do you know how to bulk enable the availability of products in stores? Im doing it 1 by 1 but i have 12K products and 3 stores. Thanks!! You have the best videos.
Hi Ed, I do have a question, but first a complement, absolutely love following your videos, you explain everything very well. Now my question: I am trying to think how meta objects will help my dilemma I have. In my store I use shopable images, which our theme Empire allows via sections. We have created pages to display multiple shopable images and each of these images might have 4 or more products all displayed in one image. I am trying to come up with a way to replace these pages with an easier way to pull in all this information. Could you think of a way, how meta objects could help with this?
Thanks for a great video! One thing I haven't been able to figure out though, is how to output a metaobject to the home page. I'm a Shopify newbie and am trying to create a home page banner (preferably a slideshow) that references active items stored in a metaobject. This way the store owner can simply activate and deactivate the metaobject items rather than having to mess with the template. (I hope this makes sense.) Any suggestions for how to reference the metaobject from the home page? I seem to only be able to access "brand" items. Thank you! =)
I have a product that has 3 main variants and each variant has different variants. So if you choose Variant A it will direct you to the variants associated to A. If you chose variant B it directs you to the variants associated to B. Is it possible to set this type of situation using metafields and metaobjects?
Is there any way to have variant-specific information in PDP? Let's say I have a variant called Size and it has 3 options, Large, Medium, and Small. Now what I want to show is a piece of text snippet depending on which options I'm currently selecting. Each text snippet is different and which one will be visible will depend on which option is currently selected. Is there any way I can set the variant's options metafield like this? Thanks in advance.
So , Is the the new page templates? Because I can't seem to get the same visual resutls you had in a previous video. It seams like these are a lot coading, for essentially a simular outcome?
i have creators for my website , what's the best way to create specific page for the creators including their associated works. i see from your video that the metaobject template can't display products
Hmm, you can't really filter by discounted. But I think you can create an automation using Hextom Bulk Product Edit (or similar automation app) that will change a metafield or tag every time you edit the price to put a product on sale. The filter would then work as a normal metafield filter.
I have a question? if it is another product, no additional information coming from metaobjects. How do you hide the "Image with text" section on that product? This is a really necessary thing for me to actually use metaobjects, please help me sir.
I appreciate very much your intelligent guide offer. However, the fact that you are spending time creating an online store but your main teaching task is taught through NOT selling the product online, pointing to a brick and mortar, is a huge brain fry. It creates a disconnect with what your are trying to teach. Just saying. Thanks though.
Good point. Sometimes its hard to think of a good example. At the time I was working with a store that had a brick and mortar, so that influenced me a bit. Thanks for the feedback!
Also, I just out someone cloned my entire Shopify store and it hosting it out of China, all fake of course as they have no relationship with my print on demand companies nor do they have my original print files. Any shows on how to build better security at Shopify? @@EdCodes

How do you define the images as squares? My images become highly modified, and only reveal a slender, centralized component of its original form.
Every time i go to add a tab it multiplies by 3. Giving me a headache and I am not sure what to do from here.

You can't. It's best to use a different template for products that will not have any information for that section.
