What I did is went into the code and conditionally rendered it. So as you loop through the block section, if the block image is not custom, then don't render that section. That way you can add it to multiple products but only when the merchant adds a custom image then the section will show. All these youtube videos show the same thing over and over lol. I'm trying to figure out how to make this dynamic but with a slideshow. I made a metaobject, chose files, chose multiple images for the image field, but I'm just not sure how to append them to each individual slide for the specific product. I think that will also require some coding to loop through the choices and access the index of each...the only current alternative I see right now is to create a bunch of individual files fields within one metaobject to account for the maximum number of slides you'd expect on your store, and then plug and play for each slide. Pretty annoying if that's the case.
Hi! I am really interested in finding a way of showing a different video in my collections, no products, no frontpage, in my diferent collections. I think I can do it with a Metafield in my collection section, but it is not working... It would be great if you make a video of how to use Metafields and Metaobjects only in the collection section!! Thanks a lot
Hello thanks for the video. Would that also work if you for example have global data? Use case: We have 3 USPs that we want to display on the product page. They should be the same on every page but we have multiple product templates so it would be handy if we could store them globally as a metaobject. Would that work?
are you teaching or making a music video without the music. I don't understand the constant cuts and videography intrusions. I know this type of video production is all the rage but please for the love of those who want to learn this kind of thing makes nearly unwatchable.
Dude no offense thank you for the videos they are a big help.. but you jump around from screen to your self way too much.. i loose place.. just show the screen more when explaining. I cant follow you when it keeps going back to your face and hand movements! Good luck!
I would like to know who is the genius who has decided to call this, Metaobjects. and why the rest of people who work at Shopify did not complaint about it. To me this is a terrible name. The word Object is confusing.. They should call it "Formulaire", "Questionaire" "Multifield", "Multiple Metafields ", "group of metafields"..."Fields group", "Fields block" "Info block", "Layout group", "Mini theme", Micro template"....or anything else that makes sense.. There are dozens of possibilities....But not " MetaOBJECT",, These are not objects.. An object is another thing. An object is something like a table, a spoon, a coffe-maker, etc.. Something so easy to understand has become so difficult just because the name they use has nothing to do with what it really is..
Saw in your list you had "Cart Upsell" or "upsell" would you be able to utilize meta objects/fields to make your own upsell section within the cart?
Thanks for the great video! Could you please explain how to apply the settings you demonstrated to a CSV upload file?
Hello, why I cannot connect the metafiled to the theme? I already added the metafiled
I have a question? if it is another product, no additional information. How will you hide the "Image with text" section?
I'm facing the same issues here 🥲

Great video thank you. Just one query how we can use this metaobject on product page using liquid code?
Do you need a Liquid developer who can do that for you?
@@randomtimessomehow thanks for the reply I had figured it out and was able to show the particular object on product page

Testing different editing styles, we have adjusted. Check out some newer content. Thank you for the feedback! - Aaron
I didn't like the voice effect 🙂
Noted, thank you!
