If you have extra metal frags, upgrading the upper part of the tower to metal helps it not getting destroyed if you are slow and the heli shoots too much rockets.

Do you have any ridiculously strong heli towers for modded helis or any tips for visibility while still providing defense? Me and a friend struggling rn on a 5x together with a ridiculously strong heli with 500k total hp, 100k rotor health and 50k tail rotor health and no matter what we design it always is too much visibility and we get destroyed or too little visibility and it slowly tunnels to the core while we don’t even get close on damage, I would be surprised if you had a base ready but at least some visibility tips for it since it averages around 5 Hqm walls per battle and that’s from 1 side going into the base and 60 damage per bullet to a full metal body and as such I have no idea how to design a base that can see the heli at all that can still tank a 2 hour battle with it
If I recall correctly, not being able to place lockers behind a window in a triangle this month was a bug and next update (October) you will again be able to place lockers on triangle foundations behind windows.
@@freakmongerGG It isn't a bug, but this result was unintentional. They changed the lockers size but didn't mean for it to stop fitting in triangles. And yes, they are changing it back next Forcewipe hopefully :)

Nice cheap heli tower. Put a furnace inside the TC triangle and one inside the gear locker triangle. Also halfway up the inside of the tower put a stone triangle and put a furnace and gear locker there instead of the two lockers at the top that are vulnerable to splash damage from heli. It’s a really nice compact/cheap design. I only play solo and love to see content creators do solo stuff!
Glad you enjoy the solo content :) I stopped using the stone triangle because laddering through the gaps in the side is quite an inhibition during a stressful situation like an online pummel raid and minimizing complex movement requirements under duress is an important design factor to me. It also means that if one portion of the neck gets 8-rocketed, you can still spawn at the top to access kits. As for the furnaces, that can definitely be done if you intend on running back and forth between your base and your tower to cook, although I would advise against it. I suppose it is an extra few storage slots regardless though so that could be beneficial!

This game certainly has a long learning curve, but I'm sure you're doing great for your hours. 300 is almost nothing. When I had 300 hours I was just as clueless. Just take your time and enjoy the game :)
Maybe take heli after update it’s OP now and destroys a tower like this in seconds with the rocket barrage it does now, maybe time to come up with an updated version?
Cool design, if it’s not a bp wipe. Wouldn’t be able to roof it off until you found a hatch, and that window would be a door campers paradise until you got reinforced.
Should you die on the shooting floor during a raid, your body won't be lootable simply by jumping up at it or boosting on someone's head. The heli angles are also better once you're a little higher. You are welcome to build The Spire one floor lower though, it'll still function fine for taking helis but it won't be as good for defending your base from a raid!
Is there any chance u could make a upgraded solobase version of this i make this every reset on top of rocks and live in the tower so far havent been raided i used armored doors but could need a little more space to store stuff :)
If you're talking about just the triangle roof tiles, it's because you didn't add all the wallframes and windows. You have to do everything in exactly the right order for the stability to be high enough. And you have to place the center triangles first. If you're talking about the actual roof ramps, they might not work on console ive seen that complaint once before.
@@Jb19738 Yes, that's correct. When both doorways are on the left, you want the outer door opening inwards to form the airlock. When both doors are on the right, you want the inner door opening outwards to form the airlock.
You will occasionally lose doors, yeah. Always try to keep a build plan, some stone, some metal, and some doors/codelocks in the tower. This is important not only for heli repairs, but in the event of an online raid for sealing as well!
You shoulda made an open 3by3 with 2 2by2s on the left and right. one on each side like 2by2 on north east and a 2by2 southeast and a 3by3 in the middle 3by3 has loot 2by2 are counter raid bases.
Shoulda woulda coulda made a 10x10x80 with 4 3x20x30’s on the sides of the tower Like 30x30 on the south west and a 30x60 north east side and a 10x30 to the left of the 30x30 completely impenetrable base design kcmo style triple honey stack double wall triple roof quadruple foundation stacking with a gaming chair and the 30x30 is a counter raid base no cap homie das rite ye homie ye homie ye homie

You should mod the bridge and add these to your external TCs or even better your gate houses (perhaps a combination)

You can't rotate them. You have to position yourself on the outside. It takes some precision.

I haven't really experimented with a tower as a mainbase but it's certainly possible! You could always do a 2x1 variant of this instead of 1x1.

That is a proper airlock. When both doors are open, you cannot move through.

Just use two ladders. The raid cost will be cheaper top-down though.
