Yes. I 3D printed a Lucius Pattern Warhound Titan, and painted it in 3 days!
I am so happy with how this whole project turned out, still have a few more details to add, but this was goop a few days ago and now it's a TITAN!!
I was offered the new @HeyGears Ultracraft Reflex RS for review and decided to push it to its limits with a freakin' Titan! Every piece came out perfectly thanks to this printer and I cannot recommend it enough if you're in the market for a 3D printer with a complete ecosystem to make life as easy as possible. As always all my reviews are my own opinions and I'm not paid to say anything positive. I don't share certain links to 3D files in case they get taken down but you can find them online!
Here's all the details you need to purchase the Ultracraft Reflex RS yourself, including my affiliate link which will give you an extra discount!

Thanks for checking out the video!
I get the same feeling when ever i print something. Its so magic
Wow. I am in shock. $90 for the material cost of a titan, AND the parts go together so smoothly??? This is insane....
It’s a game changer for sure.
Stunning work! Loved seeing the progress on the live streams. It’s awesome to see these large scale projects. Well done
Yeah it was cool having people involved along the way with the live streams! Thanks man!
Seen the cleaning livestream and damn these close ups are nice! and the results are super super smooth looks amazing! :-) to get results like that people normally have to do a ton of testing with settings and how much anti-aliasing, layer levels etc...
Absolutely amazing as always!! ❤🎉❤
Would you find their specific resin that must be used gatekeeps this printer a little and increases the overall price? Seems like a more premium printer for designers and not the general hobbiest. You also said the wash and cure station made this overall a bit too pricey, is this not needed with this model or was the previous model a bundle that had to be purchased to get the printer? Not sure this particular printer would be accessible to myself. The titan is unreal, and I loved your painting video!
@@The0Bored0Network there custom resin just plugs in the back but I just pour normal resin straight into the vat like any other printer and it works perfectly fine. Wash and cure stations are a luxury. You can put the model on your window cill and let the sun cure it and a tub with some IPA to wash the parts in works. It’s where most people start. But I do recommend wash and cure stations if you can. They make your life easier. The previous one i said was a stretch for most people. I think this one is just amazing and is an unreal machine for the price.
Thanks Andy, nice to know other resins can be used, I would be less inclined to use something where I needed to buy exclusive resin/containers. Maybe a followup of this video were you take this through its paces, 3rd party resin etc?
That's one helluva titan, how well would be if you printed out some super heavy armour for your krieg army
Don’t tempt me frodo
We live in the digital age and it’s incredible
Yeah it's crazy
Cool project. And shame on forgeworld for their quality.
When GW killed the Lucius class titan I lost interest in ever trying to save up for one. Printing one is a good option.
Nice one love it !
I'm going to need to know where I can get those Lucius pattern Titans, and if there is an emperor class STL set to go with the warhound
Just search online!
@@MediocreHobbies I'm assuming cults?
@@garfieldwithissuez yep
@@MediocreHobbies do you remember approximately how much it was off the top of your head if for no other reason then I can make sure I've got the right file as it stands I have a paper craft one that I made probably 15 years ago that looks okay but since it's papercraft it's not very durable and I've never actually wanted to use it
@@garfieldwithissuez it was a free file.
I remember when forgeworld first released the warhound, it took five of us most of a morning just to clean, straighten and remove all the flash off it. Put me off forgeworld for life
Yeah some of the releases were just hard work
Raging heroes
Can you get the software without the printer?
No it’s only built for there printers. It won’t slice for anything else.
@@MediocreHobbies time to raid the piggy bank :)
@@MediocreHobbies So just found out, the new Beta version enables you to export models which means you can get them prepped to print and then export as .stl no slicing, but this alone is worth its weight in gold!
Can i have your printing files , i tried with a downloaded one but ever it gets curved or Broker many parts
Based on what you said that could be your settings settings or setup. Both of those issues suggests and issue with the supports, the islands or the weight of the print pulling off the fep.
Yeah @stepanengel4025, sounds like printer issues, not file issues!
Out of curiosity, how much was the warhound titan file?
it was free!
Who's a good boy, a VERY good boy!! You are doggo Titan, you are the bestest boy! (also I'm TOTALLY NOT jealous).....
Hahahaha that’s not what you have been saying on stream
Check out Mortian for some awesome tanks, walkers, even larger STLs and models. I’ve got several of his cyberrat kits, but he has some great stand-ins for imperial tanks and support vehicles.
Where do I find him?
Does he have the link to the STL I could see making a 4 warhound scout titan 30k army to introduce my friends to the game? Play it against a Primarch and have utterly unbalanced fun.
I literally typed warhound titan stl into google and checked images. So wasn’t find there.
This Warhound Titan looks absolutely amazing Andy! I don't play W40K, but I want one. I started following you when you painted your Bretonnia army and I'm an The Old World player so that's what I'm most interested in, but I slavishly watch all your videos you release and slowly but surely go through your old videos and the only times i miss your live streams are when i'm at war with my wardollies, or have to get up earlier because we have a lot to do at work.
Looks gorgeous, would consider a printer except I already don’t have the time or energy to paint what I already have lol. I’d drown in all my printed unpainted minis
3d printing is a hobby in itself. There's a lot involved with a fairly large learning curve to know what printer, resin, wash cure, settings etc to get to grips with. BUT it's such a versatile hobby not just for GW stuff (and you will save a fortune on buying gw models)
Finding and printing a thunderhawk transporter would be awesome. There are some 3D prints around. And magnetising a landraider to stick to it would be an epic series. No one has done one!
Great job - that mini also looks a lot lighter than the Forge World titans, which is a bonus. Not only are they hard to transport/use but particularly on the Warhound, the sheer weight of the hull bends the legs eventually.
You mad lad Andy... 3 days for a damn fine looking Titian. If I had the cash I may well think about one of those printers but can't justify with the silly season coming along too fast.
Dope looking Titian thou you should be proud of that in the time u had.
Is there anything large for the old world you can print and paint?
Oh yes. I’ve wanted to do a chaos war mammoth for my warriors army for years.
@@MediocreHobbies next project?
Loud happy warhorn noises
hahaha yes
Excellent video. Old Chicken Feet looks fantastic
I think it's a Turbo Laser, been a while since my Space Marine days and playing games with all the Titans but I think that's what it is. If I have got it right it's because it was one of my favourite options for Warhound Titans in Space Marine. I liked those printers from the first video you did, the fact that they've come up with a less expensive version is awesome. The simplicity brings 3D printing to a whole new audience.
Yep. They just do it better than anybody else.
Can you share the link to that model of the Titan ?
Did you use the Pulse Module on these prints ?
that looks fantastic. I would love to see you do a battle fleet gothic battle ship. they look insane.
With proper hollowing you can save a lot of resin and fep wear.
True but I like the weight and sturdiness not the solid pieces.
Blood hell. So beautiful.
I printed that titan on my Ender 3 a couple of years ago, it's a really nice model and it took a full roll of PLA. was thinking of printing one in resin.
I'd recommend it!
Awesome stuff.
I'd love to see some more 3d printing videos. It would be great to see a full or partial tabletop and mini from print to table process
Good to hear, thanks for that!
Loved this vid and the livestreams! Keep up the good work!
Cheers John!
Looks great. Always enjoy content. Titans are next level. I know you don’t magnetize, but not with a Titan!!! Killing me. :). Thanks for sharing your tips.
Hahahah all one piece. I love it.
That model is amazing! Holy smokes!
I would love to see you print and paint titans in the adeptus titanicus scale and see how they measure up against those ❤
Hmm not a bad idea!
Wow! What a...titanic project! Awesome!
Haha thanks so much!
Awesomeness personified
Amazing Andy, and yeah more gigantic minis please. And yes congratulations on completing such a mental project in just three days fantastic job.
You did it….well done…..great video
You of little faith.
Wow... It's expensive... But you could print one of the bigger titans, and it would be cheaper than one of the warped bubbly gate-filled originals from FW!
Wow! That prepare and support automation, staggered me
It’s insane. It’s so easy
