I love how Kohrey is laid back in this episode. He seems like he’s just talking without a camera being present. Great work to you both! I’ve been following BrandMan Sean for some years now and enjoy the constant growth I see from him and this channel. Happy New Year 🥂
This has gotta be my favorite episode yet! I thought the "one pony trick" line was clever, but Sean dropped some bars! The spices and the cos play! PREACH! Thank you guys for the knowledge, tips and opinions you share!
Watching this nine months later on like the 10th time is kind of wild because I can definitely say… I only run ads on RUclips in 21 cities four of those cities are in foreign countries. London, Paris, and two more. My ads definitely performed better in Paris above any other place And I’m getting like 100 views for about $.50 but I do have keywords on etc.
Okay so, I am in a state of uncertainty at the moment. For the last couple years, I have been using movie clips and inserting some of my tracks in them as like fan-made content for RUclips to hopefully bring exposure and discovery to the music. Some of my videos have gained traction and are still getting hits to this day, I have been getting subscribers way more often than ever before on some of these movie clips with my inserted music in them, only I am not sure anymore whether to feel I am accomplishing anything or not bringing attention to my music. Is this content strategy I have been implementing on RUclips for the last couple years working for me or against me? There are obvious reasons as to why some of my videos with classic movie scenes are getting clicks, but I am not sure if I am getting the right attention from them with my songs. Like I wonder now why are people even subscribing? Haha! Is it for my music or just the movie clips? Or the packaging of it all for entertainment purposes? I know movie clips have been one of the top of the top niches on RUclips for a long time, so that is why I have come up with such a strategy. Just my thoughts y’all!
Well if you’re doing it correctly, the music should match the emotion of the scene or at least set a certain type of tone, people hear the music in the background, it makes them feel something, they say what was that song? And go looking for it bcz they like the way the clip made them feel, and you should have it plugged in in the comments or something what the song is and where to find you like a funnel.
@@shadowclonejutsu8500 Got it! Yeah, this confirms that I have been on the right track then. Just need to keep making better songs! 🤷🏾♂️ Thank you man! 😊
Nothing much. Spotify and Apple Music got the grip on music streaming in Web2. New music streaming services will succeed if they focus on Web3 this decade. Other than that, TikTok is gonna be waiting behind Amazon, Tidal, and SoundCloud.
What advertising platform do u guys suggest using to connect with the non american music fans that speak and listen to english rap? RUclips Ads or IG/FB Ads
In regards to the segment where you guys discussed complex art packaged into simplicity, that Billie Eilish song "What Was I Made For" is a very recent prime example. That song will live forever, because she took such a relatable complex existential topic, and packaged it into a song full of simple one liners that sparks serious thought & emotion. When artists reach this level (no matter what field), they begin to cross over into iconic territory that allows them to truly stand the test of time.
If you don't give yourself chills, than nobody else will get chills. Facts 100 %. Your music should minister to you first.
The level of GEMS in this podcast
