I'm finding it difficult to put thrifting on pause because I've been finding so many good items lately like Ralph Lauren lamb leather skinny jeans for $2.99, J Crew cashmere turtleneck sweater $3.99, J Crew leather loafers $10, trench coat, faux leather pants and other items that I can style for years to come. Like you, I absolutely love everything in my closet...so there's nothing to get rid of. So, I feel ya...I really need to stop but the good deals keep coming and it doesn't help that I live 5 minutes away from our local thrift store. So...enjoy your time off and looking forward to your next video!

Love the plaid dress. I would add some green accessories. I am loving red and green for everyday lately because they look great together so why not. I hear you on buying more stuff. I have not been thrifting in quite some time and have so much I really do not need more. I trying to style what I have on new ways.
those boots in the first outfit are amazing!!! whenever I see them in stores I feel like I have no idea how to style them outside of work wear but this outfit is so casual and cute
Thank you!! I actually haven’t worn them much since I got them, for the same reason. I think the key was pairing it with the jeans that have a slightly wider hem, and the fold makes even that more casual I just got these jeans and I think they made all the difference in pulling out the boots, I would suggest seeing if you have any wider leg denim you can pair with them!
Hi Ebonee! Great styling as always - I can’t pick a favourite! I love the ‘Hilary Banks’ blazer and that plaid dress is such a 1950s dream! I’m taking notes on the more casual looks, too, because as you know, one of my goals is to make my casual outfits more interesting. I was a bit confused as to the sudden increase in consumerism, unless you were referring to the usual pre-Holidays goings on, in which case I concur. When I hear Christmas carols played at my local mall, I don’t think “oh, lovely, Christmas is coming”. I think “you really want to remind me it’s time to start spending money”. On a serious note, though, I understand your frustration with the current state of things and your need to take time off. Even though, personally, I prefer the styling content of your videos, I can see it’s the hauls that get the most views - and there is a limit to how big a closet can grow before it becomes unmanageable. Also, as you said, you don’t necessarily want to contribute to the cycle of consumerism. It makes sense that you want to take the time to think about where you want to go and do a re-set. Just as some food for thought, I’d like to say that channels like yours are rare: channels that don’t make me feel I need to buy things because I’m not enough; channels that don’t use click bait and triggers to get views and comments; channels that provide fresh, original content, instead of just copying everything everyone else does. Another piece of food for thought is that, at a thousand-odd subscribers, your channel is still a small fish in a very big ocean - an ocean whose currents are the algorithms. So figure out exactly what you want and let the right people find you because this fish deserves to grow! I might follow your cue and bow out of social media (consuming it) until the new year. For me it’s because things are crazy busy at the moment (mostly good crazy busy 😊) and so it makes sense to take a step back. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And of course Happy Birthday for December! 🎉
Yes I can see how it’s confusing! To put it better- it’s something I’ve been thinking about for months now, watching the videos of people I’m subscribed to and feeling like no one does anything unless it’s an ad or always finding myself saying “I need” “I’m gonna get” “I should try to find” etc. These thoughts were a lot less when I’d go a few days without watching people, I think the natural increase during the holidays is what actually pushed me over the edge lol I so appreciate what you’ve said here as all of the things you mentioned have been my goals from the start so it feels good to know that it comes across to others! I’m so excited to come back with a fresh wind!

I feel content is easier to absorb and more appreciated when it’s not too much too often. I don’t know how all these people put out “new content” 1,2, or even 3 times a week.
