Yes, I use a UltraSound DI Plus preamp when I use the HX Stomp, but other than that it's straight to the Audio Interface, Which is an old Digi002. For your question about the FX loop, do you mean the HX Stomps FX loop or your amps FX loop? Both can be done. If you run this setup to your amp just make sure you go in directly to the amps FX loop, not the main input, and make sure to turn off the speaker simulation. If you mean using the HX Stomps FX loop to add a real Rat or Big Muff that can be done too. I made a video doing that with a Rat pedal but I haven't been able to do the same with a Big Muff yet.
