In the following seasons, Hawks' star players left and were traded; as the franchise entered a rebuilding phase.
In 2018, the Hawks drafted their franchise star: Trae Young, who led them to unexpected accomplishments as a young rising squad.

Yup keep doing these timelines. I’d like to see more throwback eras too. Keep doing the recent ones for now during the offseason, and then during the season you could do like the 90s jazz, 90s rockets, 80s Celtics/lakers, pistons 80s, etc. even Spurs from 1990s to now

@@jaywarvz Hey if this could be done what do you think of the Hawks trying to get a shooting guard like Malcolm Brogdon to go with Trea Young I've seen what he could do when healthy I think that would be a interesting backcourt.
The Hawks surprised me in this year's playoff. They took a huge advantage to demolish Knicks and even they dismantle the favorite Sixers.
Trae Young becomes a big star in Atlanta and I guess he will do more to prove himself as "Ice Trae"

Dude I’m born and raise here in Atlanta since 93’ and I haven’t never felt this much excitement in the city about the Hawks. This team is DEEEP especially with the 2021 draft picks Rife Cooper and Jaylan Johnson gonna be a big problem.

Apparently the hawks organization was encouraging him to take more Threes, and that “we have big guys to grab rebounds if you miss” - then when he wouldn’t hit the shots, Woodson would have press conferences complaining about Smith’s shot selection.
