I also thought of Denzel Washington when I saw Maximus actor. He even uses a few quirks that are very characteristic of Denzel, like his slight hesitation/stutter
Lucy's intro was like a character creation in Fallot 3 down to the tagged skills. Max seems to be a Fallot 4 luck and endurance build with the idiot savant perk. So he can fail up in life.
Vaults 31, 32, and 33 are unique in that they are connected to each other with internal vault doors as well as external doors to the outside. No other vaults had direct connections with each other.
I think they call this "Atom Punk". This is the future they dreamed of, in the 1950s. Or if you prefer, Post Apocalyptic Retro Futurism, is a more technical term.
Hadn't played the games before watching this and it is a WILD ride so far! Knew this would be right up your street - especially the humour! Great job, as always! 🤣👏
My brother recommended me this show. I do not know anything about the games nor the series, except for the mascot, Vault Boy. So, instead of watching it on my own, I decided to watch it with you 😅 just like your vault boy bubble head. I liked the 3 main players but I will pin down Lucy as my favourite as of now, this may change as the series progresses. The boot scene was hard to watch, please be safe when checking your shoes, I'm traumatised by all those documentaries of Australia's poisonous critters. 😬
When you are able to can you please react to the Saban’s Power Rangers 2017 Movie!!! It is a very goooood movie and sadly underrated. You may look at the name and think it is childish and cheesy. But it is hilarious and shows the growth of friendship and trustworthy. I swear it is a must watch.❤🎉
try the first 2 fallout games too, they have a learning curve especially since I was born 2 years after they released, but they are soo good once you work out the system
I recommend to not play 76 as your 1st couple fallout games. It doest build on the world of fallout as well as 3 and new vegas would. It's up to you though.
@@DeanBarryStuff I tried Fallout 3 a few days ago. The game came out a long time ago so the graphics may not impress relative to modern eye-candy games.
Fallout 76 isn't a real game. It's a phone game, that you can play on other platforms. Its nothing more than money extraction software, similar to Candy Crush. There is no there there.
To make The last of us game into a show was impressive, but let’s face it. The game developers did most of the heavy lifting and the show just copied it. THIS is a different story. To make entirely original content to fit the canon of the games and the foreshadowing and continuity to have all of it funnel to the last episode and pay off is exquisite writing
The main different being, The Last of Us had a very strong linear narrative to draw from. The show definitely did a lot of new stuff which was brilliant without straying from the core story. Whereas, Fallout has multiple games and is a much more open world story with many different tales. Comparing the two is like chalk and cheese. They’re very different beasts both done wonderfully.
I’d reframe what you say about Fallout drawing on the 50s aesthetic/feel, rather than representing “better more innocent times” the setting uses them to show a superficial/nostalgic veneer of “good times” papering over the much darker realities. The privileged few living that supposedly “better” life only by pretending the rest of the world doesn’t exist.
In MY opinion, the pinnacle Fallout game was Fallout: New Vegas. I lost interest in Fallout 4 because I wanted to play Fallout, not a Building Simulator. Fallout 76 never appealed to me enough to even try it. This series is based on Fallout: New Vegas more than Fallout 3/4/76 based on the location and the factions involved. There are callbacks to the first two Fallout games too.
The series an original story in the Fallout universe, not an adaptation of one of the games. It is canon, though.
The most recent canon, in fact.

And Coop is the NV Luck build with the strategy to max out all skills.

I have never seen Aaron Moten in anything previously, but I came away a fan. He was SO good, as was the rest of the cast.

Despite the violence of the series, raider dude using that curtain, is the most savage thing in the show.
Dude, no kidding. People talk about Cook Cook from Fallout NV, but this dude Monty is a straight up freak.
Especially when you consider that the curtain is probably a form of fibreglass, and he came away with splinters
@@leeneufeld4140 well fk me, it didn't even occur to me....i'm gonna need a lot of therapy now, so thanks for that!😂😂😂
an absolute barbarian
Cousin stuff doesn't seem so bad now, does it Lucy? At least your cousin doesn't wipe himself on the curtains. Chet is a gentleman.

I forgot about this channel. Curse you, algorithm! **shakes fist**
I really hope we will see honcho again, i liked him a lot.

Cool. Hope you have fun.
(And yes, Aussie insects are in a league of their own)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES I didn't think you would react to a series based on my favorite game series, but here we are!🥳💯💥❤🔥
Editing episode 2 soon.
@@DeanBarryStuff 👍
Fallout 4 and 76 are trending across all platforms due to the show, not just Playstation.
I know this. I just refer to the console platform that I use.
@DeanBarryStuff Oh okay! I understand.

The Ghoul was buried in the ground for 30 years not 200
He’s been alive for 200 though.
@@DeanBarryStuff More like 260 as he looked like he was in his 50s in the start as at some point he was captured and buried by Dom Pedro
Remember the 50s it was start of the cold war Nuka world and the robot expansion far Harbour quest play excellent fallout 4 expansions
Ya gotta play new vegas, the best fallout game besides the original two. New vegas is prob the best game ive ever played
try the first 2 fallout games too, they have a learning curve especially since I was born 2 years after they released, but they are soo good once you work out the system
We have given you a name - Food.
The Ghoul was in the ground for maybe 30 years, max. Probably less.
Wrist computer is called a Pip-Boy... though you probably started a new game already... :)
Yeah. I remembered.
the thumb is bad math :) but fits wht he says it imho
its cannon in Fallout they only used low yield bombs but the were dirty bombs.
Even with very low yield bombs the thumb thing is bad math
2:02 there is anything but sweet and innocent about the 1950s…
be quiet. at least they didnt have pedophiles making policy.
