Yes, I too did not find Venice to be as awe inspiring as I thought it would be. The canal wasn't all that clean, the water wasn't all that clean. I was there when it was warmer, but off tourist season. Glad to see you and Mom had a good time anyway. Hope the trip picks up soon. Take Care.
