I remember this deck. This was the deck that shook the game back in school. I was living in Ecuador at the time and around the time this deck came out, most people in my school had not made many additions to their starter decks (Yugi and Kaiba). I can't exactly recall why, but I think the game had not been that popular just yet. Most people I knew played the game only had their starter decks. When the Pegasus and Joey decks came out, it changed things a bit. I don't think we used terms like "busted" or "OP" or "broken" to describe the Pegasus deck but we sure damn thought it was.
Of course, this was back in the old, simpler days when all you ever wanted to do was summon Blue-eyes or Dark Magician. You just needed your signature beatstick monster and that was all that mattered. So you can imagine how surprising it was to have a starter deck release with all these monsters with [at the time] crazy effects. Playing against someone with this deck almost felt unfair. In a sense, it emulated that feeling you got seeing Kaiba duel Pegasus and how easily he was defeated.

As the game picked up popularity in the country, booster packs became more available at certain locales. They were rather pricey but it gave us kids more opportunity to get our hands on stronger cards. Eventually, a deck such as Pegasus' could be reasonably countered.

one time i remember, i was so pissed of cause my mother not wanted to buy a deck (dont remember the decks name), so i decided to go in the shop and just take it with me 🤦🏽♂️

I think you should add some cards from Dragons of Legend 2
SimplyUnlucky for mariks deck you could also add binding hands and binding legs to make it even more interesting along with sphere mode and Phoenix mode if you felt like it. But for pegasus, it would be cool if you added some more of pegasus toon monsters and spells from the show with thousand eyes idol and thousand eyes restrict to give him more of a buff, also add toon kingdom and maybe toon table of contents.

Toon Kingdom is a absolute must for Pegasus Deck. I would also add Toon Ancient Gear Golem, Comic Hand, Terraforming, Copycat, Toon Masked Sorcerer and Toon Dark Magician Girl. That would make the deck totally fit Pegasus's style.
The best cards which makes this deck powerful are toon kingdom and mimicat

Giant Soldier of Stone is Yugi's card. I would replace some of the weaker monsters with Toon Gemini Elves since you don't always need Toon World on the field to summon it.

Toon world is garbage toon kingdom is much better, terra forming, toon dark magician is very good, red stone of legend to summon toon red eyes, toon briefcase, shadow toon, toon gemini elf, toon masked sorcerer, magic reflector, max. 1 toon gear golem you can special summon the gear golem from the deck with toon dark magician

If youre going to add ra you might as well add sphere mode and immortal Phoenix. For Pegasus you should add toon kingdom, shine palace and maybe trade a couple of the generic monsters for other toons and you NEED to add thousand eyes restrict and idol
Polymerization, thousand eye idal, thousand eyed restrict for just Pegasus, and mystical space typhoon, dark hole, return from the different dimension, heavy storm,mirror force, monster reborn, and metamorph can work for for both decks
Well I am actually italian and to be honest the fact they sent you this version of the structure deck was really particular to me, since it reminded me of my childhood way more than all the other english versions haha but still, with those I do remember the good old times. Starter Deck Pegasus was my first and favourite starter deck from when i got into Yu-Gi-Oh back when it came to England
I bought a 1st edition Pegasus structure deck 7 years ago for $50 and I don't even remember seeing some of these cards except for relinquished, the toons, and some others. I feel so old
Actually, Pegasus Deck was my first deck and they were my first cards of Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was 6 :'3. I 've still got some of them that survived the years.
Lava Golem ironically works very well in Relinquished decks. But I'd put in the Djinn of Rituals series in this deck to help summon Relinquished without the cost of your toons.

This was my second starter deck after Kaiba's. If I remember right Pegasus and Joey's came out at the same time. I still have all of the cards, I used it for building my dark fiend/spellcaster deck.

It’s pretty cool though, I still have most of the cards from the Pegasus and Joey starter decks from way back then with a foil relinquished, toon world, and the foil original art red eyes black dragon. Sadly I had lost the yugi and kaiba decks :/
Relinquished was actually the first Secret Rare card I ever pulled from a regular pack. I didn't get the ritual spell to summon it until almost ten years later though, so I could never play it in my first terrible main deck
As a kid I made sure to keep one each of the start decks, sealed in 1st edition. Yeah, I was a bit of a spergelord lol.

lol i actually liked lava golem in my reliquish decks. can steel a 3000 attack monster, and then reliquished is un affected by gravity bind since its lv 1.

for the battle definatily add thousand eyes, plus it would be cool to use the toon monsters with there toon effects from the anime in session 1
What about The Gorgon's Eye Trap card and Trap Displacement ? I remember Pegasus used those cards on Yugi at Duelist Kingdom.
I still have the english Relinquished from the Starter Deck. I didn't have the deck itself but traded it.
As for additions: Thousand Eyes Restrict would be a classic choice. Maybe some other toons, but they can be a bit annoying to play if you don't draw Toon World. Hmm, this deck is kinda heavy on tribute summons. You may want to take some of them out.
I suggest to use Toon Kingdom, Toon Dark Magician, Toon Red Eye Dragon, Toon Buster Blader to replace Toon World and the Toon Monster because each monster cost you 500 life point to attack and also use cost down to lower the level of your monster in your hand easier to bring out your most powerful monster early
Add toons or pre-preparation of rites and preparation of rites

All the toons cards not in there like red eyes, comic hand, ancient gear golem, dark Magician girl, Gemini elf, toon kingdom all work as well, for Marik technically he owned Slifer the Sky Dragon and used it through a puppet so you could put it into his deck

I have a query. a few years back you did a video where you opened a anniversary edition of the yugi and kaiba packs, they came with a bunch of limited edition alternative art cards. i am dying to get my hands on them said cards, but having serious issues getting them here. any advice or help would be appreciated

If you want Relinquished to be the focus, definitely add in a playset of Manju
You should add pot of greed x 3 but it can only be used once per turn or you should add prep of rites
I'd say Pre-Preperations of Rites. Along with Preparations of Rites. So you can get to Relinquished easier.
I'd add the other toon cards and supports for them. Throw bukribox, thousand eyes idol, and thousand eyes restrict in there for fun

Relinquished cannot absorb Obelisk, Ra and Slifer however, are fair game. Only Obelisk has targeting protection.
Add stuff from the Japanese Pegasus structure deck...like TCG copies of them.
Toon Alligator - the first "Toon" monster that doesn't have to be summoned with Toon World on the field and the only monster without a non - "Toon" counterpart. Add 1,000 Eyes Restrict and 1,000 Eyes Idol.

Question: is Graceful Charity really that broken? You have to play the card itself, then discard 2, so it's 3 for 3. You're not actually gaining a bigger amount of cards. Sure, there's a lot of strategies that involve sending cards to the graveyard, but come on.
The issue is that you choose what to discard, allowing you to setup your Graveyard as you see fit.
Inkweaver is right. Graveyard setup nowadays is so darn good for certain decks, that in some cases that's all a card does.
The spell card "Dragon Shrine" lets you send a dragon from your deck to graveyard, and if it was a normal monster (without effect), you can send one more dragon the same way.
Common practice in modern decks like Blue-Eyes, Burning Abyss, etc. .
On the other hand, some decks get absolutely destroyed by banishing cards instead of sending them to graveyard. Cards like Macrocosm or Dimensional Fissure can completely disable graveyard-reliant decks.
You get the option of organizing your hand. Basically replace 2 bad cards and graceful with 3 good ones.
