I found one on sale at the Disney Outlet store in Seattle for 29.99. Ended up getting him, Zurg (19.99), Hawthorne, Mo and Darby (6.99 each). Glad I did as Buzz was sold out a few days later when I went back to get Zurg. Great figures. Thank you for showing how to get the helmet off.
I think the hole on Buzz's leg is supposed to be a holdster for his laser pistol, even though he doesn't come with one. Also the XL flight suit concepts on the card are closer to how they look in the movie. 👨🚀🐈👿🚀🪐🌌
Yay I thought that as well, but find it strange there wasn’t a pistol included with this OR the Alpha Class Buzz. There isn’t a 7” scale space ranger blaster at all. Time will have to tell if one comes with another figure later on!
@@DanthePixarFan That's probably because Disney doesn't want toy guns released. But mattel should have at least included the light sword. This honestly feels like a very cheap release tbh, specially compared to the others.
I really wanna see Eve and Carl Fredrickson in this line, they are the ones I most want!

I strongly agree with a spotlight series Eve. Maybe Eve and wall-e and both Buzz lightyears should be a team! Fighting the zurgs!! And evil auto pilots,. to save the rest of man and robot kind!!!!!

I’ve been waiting for this one! So glad you broke it down for us. It’s a fun figure, but it doesn’t seem to be worth that much over the first release. Especially since I already got the first one and detailed it up a bit. Maybe I’ll grab it on sale. Or just save up for the figuarts.

Finally, until there is a good video on RUclips that reviews this Lightyear figure! I don't have it in my possession (what's more, I don't have that type of collectible figures unfortunately and the closest thing to that I have are 2 figures of Spider-Man and Daredevil from the Marvel Legends line), but it shows that it is very, but how good and a great rival for the figure of Buzz 2022 from SH Figuarts. And I think that if Mattel had considered putting the saber and laser gun on him (and what's more, the communicator he has on his wrist) that he used in some parts of the movie, the figure would be even more perfect, but even so, it looks very good.

I can imagine a great story of both buzz lightyears and wall-e on a mission to save the other axiom star liners from their evil auto pilots and guide them home to wall-e's home planet!
I wonder if the auto pilots are the minions of both zurgs?????

@@DanthePixarFan Yeah..I plan on strapping a mini-laser pointer to Buzz’s blaster arm so he can fire a…(chuckles)laser that’s a lightbulb..(ahem)While also giving the jetpack a wee bituva paint job..Luckily I already have the right colors for the wings(…red,white & purple)…And although I have the right paint for MOST of the jetpack(…white & purple)..I still have the minor matter of finding the right GREEN paint for the rest of the jetpack…Now,as for The Box(aka his ship)..as he would also say…”This’ll take WEEKS to repair..!”…

The hole on the side of his right leg is to put the Laserblade DX on with a peg. At least, that's my guess. Just like the 5 inch Alpha suit Buzz, Laserblade DX has a peg that fits into his side.
Thanks for your input! I thought about that, but he or the alpha class Buzz doesn’t come with a laser blade. Also since this is more screen accurate, I feel like they would have put the laser blade peg hole on his back, like it is in the film. The hole seems too low down the leg fit it. Just my 2 cents!

To each their own but I personally think the featured favorite is better then the spotlight and cheaper on top of that and I wish Mattel could tackle Disney as well image one of these or a feature favorite of Tarzan or better yet Hercules with hatis demons or something
