Wow, Marie! You are SUCH a gift. Your willingness to share these videos and give us so much valuable information, and all at no charge. Honestly, you, and your fairies, are putting a lot of great energy out into the world! Plus, I didn't realize that I could wet felt with wool batts until a few weeks ago. I have been avoiding felting to some extent because I find laying out merino top a bit tedious, or maybe I should just say that it is my least favourite part of the felting process. I'm reinspired. thanks, again!
I love watching you girls here! In the 80’s I had five children in school, now have 20 “greats” and 1 “great-great.” I love your wool, am about to place an order. God bless you all, Lurene in Oklahoma.
I just spent two days creating felted canvases. I needle felted them using my variety of living felt fibers. I am so glad to watch this video. I am preparing some canvases for a later workshop focused on stitching and embellishment composition.
That is awesome. We are sharing more during our live broadcast tomorrow (05-09-2018) on reinforcing for machine stitching and other reinforcements and mounting ideas.
Absolutely informative, thanks for all the hard work
So happy to hear it, thank you :)
Love viewing your tutorials on you tube. You ladies are fantastic! I’m a beginner felter and have a few questions. Maybe a tutorial on the following would be possible. Confused about the different materials that you use. I’ve only worked with domestic roving and am wondering what the differences and uses are for merino top, batting, hankies, silks, Angelina fibers, wool prefelts. Thanks so much!
Hi Cindy, we have a few videos that cover this...it does feel like a lot of "words" when the fibers are not in use... but this video from last fall did not make it to youtube, however it is on our main fb page.

It does not cover all the fibers. We did an intro to wet felting "felt along live" that incorporated silks, silk hankies, angelina, etc. Sometimes, the best way to learn about fibers, is to work with them :)
How do I find part 2?
me encanta ! Muchas gracias !
So intelligent
Thank you so kindly, Yvonne :)
I would love to see part 2 but I can't find it.
It did not make the youtube cut due to technical challenges. But it is in our facebook video archive -- in our group, so you have to be or join as a member to see it: facebook.com/livingfelt/videos/10155687875473845/
What happens if you tear the fibers?
I start a layout on the foam block and secure the layers using a hand needle. Once I have all my layers in place I peel the piece off the block and then use my needle felting machine. Is that cheating?
We think that any tools which help you achieve the results you want and that you enjoy are the perfect tools for the job :) You will find we are very low on rules...art should be fun!
I only ever get this the day after
Hi Clare, we post to youtube the day after the live broadcast. To see it live, join our group facebook.com/groups/livingfeltfriends That is where the live show is...not on youtube...yet :)
