Pro-Touring Cars Drag Racing? Only at Holley LS Fest

If you've ever been to an LS Fest event there is of course plenty of drag racing going on throughout the weekend. What you may not know if you've never attended one is that the autocross cars/trucks are also required to drag race if they've entered their vehicle for the Grand Champion competition. Essentially the idea is that a pro-touring vehicle can do it all. Autocross, drag race, and speed stop ( a braking event if you will) Since this channel is basically an autocross/pro-touring channel I thought it'd be cool to see these vehicles do some drag racing as well. With that being said, don't expect great smokey burnouts, quick reaction times or even staging up to the lights to be perfect like you would from a veteran drag racer.

Thanks for the event coverage man!! It’s awesome watching these Protouring guys send it down the track!! I’ll be next year for sure and hopefully with better motor luck also. I lost oil pressure on my 3rd drag pass on Friday and was out for the rest of the weekend.

315 Squared 10-4 thanks man!! I forgot to turn in my time slip anyway bc the truck broke and all the rain on sat I forgot to turn it in. Looking at the standings I had the fastest pass for the grand champion truck class. 11.2 @134.9.

Thank you for posting this. I’m building a car similar to the ones that are racing in this video and it’s hard to find good footage of these cars actually doing what they were created to do. You deserve a lot more subscribers. Thanks again

I appreciate that. That’s the goal of this channel is to showcase these types of vehicles. They may not have perfect paint or interiors but they’re build to drive and drive hard.

It was looking to be pretty big on Saturday before the rain came in. It was still a good time but i would’ve had more footage without the rain. There’s always next year
