Excellent review. Been poring over reviews for a dozen + silencers for months looking for a my first. SiCo Omega, various Rugged silencers. Should I get a modular design, self servicing, enough information to make a head explode. This one may be it! If only all the mounts/ pistons weren't so pricey
I have the 46m and out of the box it works with nothing because it doesn’t come with any adapters. You’ll have more in adapters than the can. True it will work on tons of firearms but not out of the box.
I own a silencer co hybrid silencer and I personally would never buy another silencer that is not 100% serviceable. I was told just like it states in this video that as long as you're shooting high velocity ammo through it that the baffles will clean themselves. I will tell you that after certain number of rounds carbon built up in there is excessive and the performance of the suppressor decreases. I sent mine back into silencer Co and they replaced the baffles. There was no charge as it was fixed on warranty. After replacing the baffles, the suppressor was back to peak performance and worked very good. But I know eventually the suppressor will carbon back up again. I did buy a banish 30 suppressor from silencer Central and it is 100% serviceable and so I don't have to worry about it. For me that is the only way to go.
I've been shopping for a "my first and last" suppressor, and thus one and the Wolfman keep coming up. My needs would be: 300 blk, 9mm, 357, 308, 6.5 anything, and last but not least... the new 8.6 creedmoor/blk whenever that comes out. The Wolfman seems like the more versatile product (very quiet, can break down even smaller, can take wipes) but it's not 308 rated, and it tops out at 9x39 (so no 44 magnum lever actions, no 45 raptor pistol builds, no 458 socom, no 375 raptor, no heavy subsonic 10mm even). The hybrid can do all of this except 50s (sorry beowulf) but it isn't as modular, and is quite long, and might have more of a sound signature on the smaller calibers (and no wipes). And costs the same. The third alternative is a small outfit that does custom cans for about the same or less.
My next one will be the Hybrid. Would you be worried about shooting rifle calibers through pistol suppressors? Like Rugged Obsidian 45 on a .450 Bushmaster? It is rated for it.
Can't wait to get my tax stamp. I hope it won't be too much longer. The wait is killing me haha. I already bought the asr mount and muzzle brake also the single port asr break for my scorpion in 9mm and the 1/2 x28 piston

I'm curious how much length they add and what db reduction can be expected. It looks like one is mounted on the cut away Omega but you don't elaborate on it. Very informative video, otherwise. Thanks
Will an industry leading 9mm silencer be significantly quieter than this can or does using this on a 9mm pistol give what you should expect from a silenced 9mm?
So out of the box you can use on any caliber within 9mm to .458 Socom, But they make end caps for the specific caliber to make it a little more quieter? Thanks

in my experience no. The ultrasonics dont do much for lead ingots and it would be very bad for your welds inside the silencer. You would be better off doing nothing that trying to clean with an ultrasonic.
Got one the hybrid very disappointed big money pit. Deafening loud less than 50 rounds impact shift it's like rezero frequently. Already a baffle strike factory ammo wasted money. Threw it in the bottom of a safe along with the end caps I had bought. Anxiously waiting having money saved too buy a silencer

How would I mount it on a standard AR flash hider? I have a Bustmaster M4 configuration and and DPMS Oracle in 7.62.
You can’t. You’d need to buy a Silencerco ASR flash hider to mount on your rifle and then you’d need an ASR mount to put on the Hybrid.
So if one were to shoot 22lr through it then cleaned it in an ultrasonic would it then be ok

That's correct. Your preference for a rifle or fixed barrel firearm would be a direct thread mount or other specialty mount.
